Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina

Friendly staff, happily accomodated our request for adjacent rooms. Beautiful balcony rooms over looking the water. Heated indoor pool was a plus, requiring no time to "get used to" the water temp. Very affordable rates for the quality of everything. Stay was enjoyed by everyone.

Loved walking on the paths around the property & the view of the water. Didn’t love that my room had ants & the walls were super thin. The staff was super friendly & helpful when I needed anything. All in all I’d probably stay again if I was in the area, I just wouldn’t have any open food in the room.

Lets start with the bad. Reserved lake view king bed room and was given parkview 2 queens at 1st. As soon as i walked in lobby i questioned my decision to reserve room as there is no refunds. Went to check room and it was dirty, parkview, and right next to busy area on 1st floor. Told front desk this isnt what i paid for nor is it going to work. They gave me another room 2 queen beds but it was clean and lakeview so i was ok with that. Then we get to the pool and restaurant being closed. Grant it we stayed in off season but advertised both being open online. After 2hr drive we didnt want to leave property again to get food but had to anyways. Overall it was peaceful, relaxing, and had some nice scenery. Needs some TLC and updating. As a hvac/r tech for 15 years i assure you the exhaust fans in bathroom doesnt work regardless of what the sign says in bathroom. Zero air movement when door is closed. Again it was off season so maybe they had building exhaust down for repairs/maintenance like the pool. Plenty of hot water and water pressure though at least room 247. Internet spotty and only option for tv is Direct TV which we are not fans of. If asked id say it depends on what your after. Can only imagine how busy and crowded they are peak seaon.

The property was beautiful! Our room had a balcony looking out over the lake. Our issue was that we did not have any hot water! There was no hot water on Saturday night. When we asked about the hot water we were told that you have to let it run for a while. We did and there was still no hot water. On Sunday morning we had no hot water we asked about it again and when no one seemed to be able to fix the problem we decided to check out. The staff were very nice and the view was stunning but i was not ok with not having a hshower.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful, especially the lakeside view. The Lakeside King room is very spacious, comfortable and best of all did not feel like an average corporate-type hotel room at all. Very clean top to bottom. Overall a great experience.

This property is in a great location, on a lake. Unfortunately, I visited this facility during the winter. The lake was beautiful but no activity. I will be visiting this facility in the summer and take advantage of the facility.

They need to have restaurant open - even if limited menu. But more importantly they did NOT have hot water in the shower...cold weather and cold shower was terrible.

I liked that there was forest around it to walk and explore. I enjoyed the view of the water. It was well kept and looked nice.

Very old and not especially clean. Water was very cloudy and we would not drink it! Windows were very dirty and you could hear everything. Some people were talking right outside our window late at night and I had to knock on the window and tell them to be quiet. Breakfast was just continental and coffee was horrible.
