The majority of Changsha's attractions are located near Wuyi Square. It is prudent to book a hotel near this focus area. I booked this motel as it is a reputable hotel chain. It is located right beside Taiping Street, an old shopping alley since ancient times. The chain motel is now named Magnolio Hotel (Wuyi Square Branch). Changsha was my last destination of my 10-day Hunan trip. I did not follow any travel agency and explore based on my research. When we arrived at Changsha from Fenghuang Ancient Town, I was shocked by the hot weather of 38 degrees. We were drenched with sweat and felt much better when in the cold air-conditioned lobby of the hotel. The fusion tea drinks at the lobby quenched much of our thirst. The location of this hotel is superb. It is only 150 m from Exit 1 of Wuyi Square metro station. Seniors above 65 years old, including foreigners, enjoy free metro travel in Changsha. We just showed our passports and there is no second question asked, and the staff will open the gate for you to access the station. Thus, travelling to the airport via metro is also free. Wuyi Square is Line 2 station. From Wuyi Square, you can change to Line 6 at Yinbing Station and take the Line 6 train directly to Terminal 1 & 2 of Huanghua International Airport and free. The metro station also provided shelter from the heat, and I explored Huangxin Pedestrian Street and IFC mall via the metro exits. The hotel receptionist informed me that they had upgraded my room to a bigger one for free. The toilet facilities and room are well renovated and clean though the room is still quite small. I stayed for 2 nights over here, and both me and my wife had wonderful sleep. There were also plenty of eateries and restaurants at the vicinity. Walmart is just 400 m away. For travel to attractions, Orange Island is only just two stations away at 橘子洲 station along Line 2, and for Mount Yuelu, it is only one station away at 溁 湾 镇 站 from 橘子洲 station For location, cleanliness, and staff responsiveness, I will give this hotel 10 points upon 10. My trip got cut short due to family emergency but my parent stayed at Xiangyu Xiangyue Apartment not too long ago and recommended this place so I am writing this on their behalf as they did not had the chance to do it. Location: The location is excellent — right beside IFS and within walking distance to Taiping Street, Wuyi Square Station, shopping malls, food streets, cafés, and convenience stores. Super convenient for both day and night activities. Apartment Condition: The room was clean, modern, and spacious compared to standard hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and the air-conditioning worked well. The apartment comes with basic amenities like a small fridge and kettle, which is great for longer stays. Building & Check-in: Since it’s an apartment-style stay, the entrance is inside a commercial building. Check-in was smooth and the host provided clear instructions, but first-time visitors may need to look around a bit to find the correct lift lobby. Service: The host was responsive and polite. Communication was easy, and they were helpful when I needed directions and recommendations. Noise Level: Because it’s in the busiest part of Changsha, some street noise can be heard at night — typical for such a central location. If you’re sensitive, you may want to request a higher floor. Overall: A great choice if you want convenience, modern comfort, and a prime location right next to IFS. It’s ideal for travellers who enjoy shopping, nightlife, and easy access to transportation.

Der Service von Xiao Zhou ist begeistert. Die Umgebung ist komfortabel und hygienisch. Sehr cool. Die Leute sind auch sehr nett. Die Umgebung ist sehr angenehm. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut.

Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, hilfsbereit und effizient in ihrer Arbeit. Die Lage war ausgezeichnet. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Es gab viele Essbutze, Gemüse und andere Bequemlichkeiten um. Der Eingang der Metrostation am Wanda Plaza war nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Die berühmte Taiping Old Street war noch 5 Minuten entfernt. Für Fleischliebhaber und Lebensmittelabenteuer ist Taiping Old Street eine Muss. Das Hotel hat sicherlich die AI-Ära durch die Verwendung eines schönen Roboters um die Lieferarbeit zu tun aufgenommen. Ich hoffe, dass bald mehr Hotels folgen werden. Ein Bereich muss verbessert werden. Dies betrifft die Richtung des Hotels für Gäste aus Übersee wie mich. Mehr Richtungszeichen werden an strategischen Standorten gesetzt. The location of the place was convenient and easy to get around, which was a big plus for our stay. However, there were a few downsides. The amenities were quite limited, and the place did not fully match the pictures shown in the listing. The water heater also took a very long time to heat up, which was inconvenient. Additionally, there was only one toilet shared among four people, which made things a bit uncomfortable at times. The bathtub does not have a shower head only a faucet thus not suitable for showering. Table lamp was ridiculously long we could not share the dining table for takeaway meals and only 1 of the lightbulbs were working. Whole house was very dim overall nothing like the pictures. Overall, the stay was acceptable mainly because of the location, but there is room for improvement to better match expectations.
