It is a nice hotel after all, the receptionist staff ID #11 was so helpful in helping us booked taxi in advance . To ensure we arrive at airport safely , n communicate with the taxi driver as well. The only slight - comment for this hotel will be distance to town and transport take longer time book. Overall My stay in Changsha with my friend was really fun.

Da ich von außerhalb nach Changsha kam, durchforstete ich alle Hotels auf Ctrip und Qunar in der Preisklasse unter 1000 Yuan, fand aber kein einziges, das mich zufriedenstellte. Fast in jeder Bewertung wurden verschiedene Probleme im Hotelmanagement aufgedeckt. Glücklicherweise stieß ich auf das Xiangjiang Hotel 1968, das als einziges keine einzige schlechte Bewertung hatte. Nachdem ich es mir vor Ort angesehen und gebucht hatte, muss ich sagen, dass es mich wirklich nicht enttäuscht hat. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Wuyi-Platzes, nur einen Katzensprung vom IFS International Finance Square und der Huangxing Road Pedestrian Street entfernt, was es super bequem zum Einkaufen, Essen und Sightseeing macht. Das Wichtigste ist, dass es sich in einer ruhigen Gasse versteckt, wodurch es wirklich das Motto „Ausgang zur Pracht, Eingang zur Ruhe“ verkörpert. Nachts schläft man hier besonders gut. Dieses Hotel war ursprünglich ein Gebäude aus den 1930er Jahren und ist das erste erfolgreich versetzte Kulturgut in der Provinz Hunan. Es bewahrt den klassischen Stil der chinesisch-sowjetischen Kombination mit roten Backsteinen und glasierten Ziegeln. Beim Betreten der Lobby fühlt man sich in jene geschichtsträchtige Zeit zurückversetzt. Die alten Fotos in den Korridoren dokumentieren die Veränderungen von Changsha, und die Details zeugen von Stil. Dies ist nicht nur ein Hotel, sondern eher ein bewohnbares Museum. Die Zimmerausstattung ist top, Design und Annehmlichkeiten sind sehr geschmackvoll. Ein Dyson-Haartrockner, flauschige Bademäntel, und sogar Badesets, Einweg-Gesichtstücher und Badesalz werden bereitgestellt. Der Toilettensitz ist beheizt – die Details sind wirklich perfekt. Die Bettwäsche besteht aus Memory-Schaum-Kissen, auf denen man sehr gut schläft. Der Service hier ist wirklich „herzlich“! Vom Begrüßungstee beim Check-in bis zum 24-Stunden-Schnellservice über WeChat, man erinnert sich an unseren Nachnamen und unsere Vorlieben und hat uns sogar authentische Restaurants in der Umgebung empfohlen. Beim Abschied gab es noch ein Abschiedsgeschenk. Dieses Gefühl, so aufmerksam behandelt zu werden, ist viel wärmer als der kalte KI-Service! Die Bibliothek im zweiten Stock ist sehr stilvoll, mit einem Plattenspieler, der rauschende alte Lieder spielt. Man kann es sich auf dem Sofa mit einem Buch und Kaffee gemütlich machen und die freie Zeit genießen. Im dritten Stock gibt es ein Fitnessstudio, und auf dem Dach befindet sich ein Terrassenrestaurant, dessen Frühstück besonders lecker ist. Das gesamte Hotel ist im Retro-Stil gehalten, und jede Aufnahme ist ein Hingucker. Kurz gesagt, wenn Sie in Changsha ein Hotel suchen, das sowohl historische Tiefe als auch modernen Komfort und exzellenten Service bietet, werden Sie mit dem Xiangjiang Hotel 1968 definitiv nicht enttäuscht sein! If you’re looking for an English review, here it is! Location: We stayed for 6 nights in the Jade Room, and the location couldn’t be better. The hotel is only a short 3-minute walk from Huangxing Pedestrian Street, tucked inside a small alley off the main road. While taxis can’t drop you right at the entrance, the walk is easy and luggage-friendly. The surroundings are quiet at night but still feel very safe. There’s also a nearby corner shop that holds Taobao parcels, which is super convenient, and the reception staff will guide you if needed. Service: The service was genuinely outstanding and truly made the stay feel like a home away from home. Communication was clear, warm, and responsive from the beginning. We confirmed our booking via WeChat and received prompt replies along with helpful directions and a clear map. We arrived past midnight, but the staff kept in touch and reassured us that someone would meet us on arrival. A friendly young gentleman greeted us with a big smile, brought us to our room, and followed up with the passcodes for Wi-Fi and door access (the lobby area locks after 10pm). Most evenings, they sent a message about homemade desserts available on a first-come-first-serve basis—such a thoughtful touch. They were also extremely helpful when I needed to order food through *******, letting me use the front desk number since I didn’t have a local phone. Das gewöhnliche Zimmer ist die größte Saison, die das Zimmer größer ist, unabhängige Kleidung, drei Büroräume, großes Fernsehen, ruhig und sauber und sehr komfortabel. Es dauert 10 Minuten, um die Tür zu Fuß zu gehen. Es ist sehr gut für die Route, die Tür zu Südtür zu gehen, und die Tür zu Osttür kann gerade wieder im Hotel ～ gehen.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room is clean. Very near to mrt station directly go down from lift though we prefer getting around with Didi, pretty short distance too to streets. Snacks and amenities is provided. Just one thing to be improve, get a new hook for people to hang our clothes after shower. The initial one was too close and inside shower, not convenient. Other than that is a good place to stay at a reasonable price.

We particularly appreciated the cleanliness of the room and, indeed, the entire hotel. It’s clear the staff take great pride in maintaining high standards. The amenities at Jato Hotel catered well to our family's needs. While we didn't use every facility, knowing there was a restaurant on-site was convenient for those evenings when the kids were too tired to venture far for dinner. The laundry service also came in handy, a real bonus for any family on an extended trip. The Wi-Fi was reliable, keeping the teenagers content during downtime. What truly stood out was the service. The staff were consistently friendly, approachable, and eager to assist with any queries we had, from directions to local attractions to recommendations for family-friendly eateries. Their helpfulness made our stay significantly smoother and more enjoyable. The hotel's location was also very convenient, allowing us easy access to explore Changsha's key sights. While specific distances to attractions might vary depending on the particular Jato Hotel branch, we found our location to be a good starting point for our excursions. Overall, our experience at Jato Hotel was overwhelmingly positive. It offered a comfortable, clean, and family-friendly environment with excellent service. Ich musste kurzfristig nach Changsha reisen und hatte es eilig. Ich habe das Hotel erst vor Ort ausgewählt, nachdem ich angekommen war. Für den nächsten Tag war ein straffer Besichtigungsplan vorgesehen, daher habe ich lange verglichen, bevor ich mich für dieses Geschäft am Wuyi-Platz entschieden habe. Zuerst war ich sehr besorgt – der Preis war erschwinglich, und ich hatte Angst, dass die Zimmerqualität meine Erwartungen nicht erfüllen würde. Ich habe mir die Zimmer extra angesehen, bevor ich eingecheckt habe, und war dann aber durchweg positiv überrascht! Es war ein Doppelzimmer im japanischen Stil, sehr geräumig und mit einem schlichten, beruhigenden Design. Die Ausstattung war komplett: ein Doppelbett mit einem großen Schreibtisch, und zusätzlich gab es einen separaten Tatami-Entspannungsbereich, perfekt zum Wohnen und Ausruhen. Der Service des Hotels war ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Die Mitarbeiter waren aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und haben sich um alle meine Anliegen gekümmert. Als ich am nächsten Tag Sightseeing machte, wurde mein Gepäck kostenlos aufbewahrt, mir wurde proaktiv Frühstück angeboten und man hat mir sogar einen späten Check-out arrangiert. Nachdem ich abgereist war, bemerkte ich, dass ich mein Ladegerät im Zimmer vergessen hatte. Die Dame an der Rezeption kontaktierte mich sofort und half mir, den Versand per Kurier zu organisieren – die Aufmerksamkeit war über den Erwartungen. Das Hotel liegt im Herzen des Geschäftsviertels Wuyi-Platz. Obwohl es in einer belebten Gegend liegt, ist es etwa 200 Meter von der Hauptstraße entfernt, was den Lärm der Stadt fernhält. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig, was perfekt für Leute mit leichtem Schlaf ist. Der U-Bahn-Eingang ist direkt vor der Tür, was die Anreise bequem macht, und unten gibt es zahlreiche Imbissstraßen – Essen, Trinken und Unterhaltung sind alle direkt vor Ort. Das Einzige, was schade war, ist, dass meine Reise zu kurz war und ich die meiste Zeit draußen verbracht habe, sodass ich nicht genug Zeit in dem komfortablen Zimmer verbringen konnte. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt perfekt. Wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Changsha komme, werde ich wieder hier übernachten!

Service: Der Service an der Rezeption war ausgezeichnet und ich war sehr zufrieden. Das Changsha Xi Hotel liegt im Stadtzentrum, die U-Bahn ist super bequem zu erreichen. Von hier hat man eine fantastische Aussicht auf den Fluss aus großer Höhe. Alle Einrichtungen im Zimmer sind intelligent und komplett ausgestattet. Die Umgebung ist elegant und sauber, und der Service ist aufmerksam und fürsorglich. Super geeignet für einen Besuch und Aufenthalt.

I got Ctrip.com service centre at Changsha Huanghua Airport to advise me how to contact Sycamore Tree Hotel to pick me up and I managed to contact Sycamore Tree Hotel Uncle Liu to pick me up at column C6. The exit is next to the Ctrip.com service centre of the airport and there are long queues of cars awaiting to pick up guests at the airport. Sycamore Tree Hotel is an hourly-rated hotel that allows guests to stay up to seven hours a day or to the next day. It has a three-hours room stay package for guests who are transitting to another city on the same day but since Trip.com is selling the room based on per day basis, I paid less than $30 to stay until 8 pm on the same day. To kill time, under my request, Uncle Liu chaufferred me to two plane-spotting sites around the Changsha airport for plane photography at a return fee of 150 RMB from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm, including Gao'an Village Committee Building and the premises around Hunan General Aviation Building. This fee includes the driver's waiting time. Uncle Liu has very good knowledge on plane-spotting and I recommend plane-spotters to stay in this hotel if their purpose of visiting Changsha is plane-spotting. Uncle Liu quipped that he also can bring guests to Zhangjiajie in Hunan. While the staff of Sycamore Tree Hotel is friendly, I would like to comment that the room allocated to me has no window, no regular-size table for me to write on paper and no chair. It takes a long time for the room to turn cool after switching on the air-conditioner. The toilet-cum-bathroom only has the small bath towel for body wiping purpose. Overall, the room is worse than the single room of Toyoko Inn. Despite the insufficiencies in the room, I recommend this hotel for staff friendliness, airport pick-up/drop-off services and local transport service. For breakfast and other meals, there is the bun shop next door and the noodles restaurant of one minute walk away from the hotel. For recreation, there is the games machine outside the hotel. I will stay at Sycamore Tree Hotel again if there were another opportunity of an onward flight at night from Changsha to another city airport.
