Idili

Guesthouse is in old, traditional building. Location is central in Palermo village, close by the sea, restaurants, shops and bars. I expected higher quality and more privacy, as website gives totally different feeling of the place, as there Idili seems prettier, more peaceful and cozier. Owner is very helpful and welcoming, very nice really. But they don’t take very good care of the premises: decoration is not very pretty, there is no daily cleaning and there are dead leaves and even plastic flowers in the garden. They give you clean towels if you ask and also clean a bit, but its not automatic. Also, next to guest house there is a hotel with swimming pool with lots of noise, it was a total surprise. My apar**ent was downstairs and interior has the same quality than the others. Bathroom is better in the other two, they look brighter and more fresh. Downstairs apar**ent has less privacy than the others, as it’s on the ground level next to people passing by. At night you can close the wooden doors and it’s dark and quiet. There is another bedroom on the back of the downstairs apar**ent, it is very basic and depressing -I just closed the door and I was happy I did not need the space. I think the best apar**ent is upstairs: the view is better and you can see the sea, bathroom looks more fresh and it is more private. Unfortunately my expectations did not meet the price and quality. I think they should give more time and money to the premises (also interior and cleaning) and then this guest house could have the quality to meet the price and website image.

Our family of three had an enchanting stay at Idili traditional house in Panormos, where our host, Markos, made our experience truly memorable. Markos welcomed us warmly and shared the house's rich history, showcasing its loving restoration. The accommodations were cozy and tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with Greek aesthetics seamlessly. The highlight was the beautiful courtyard, a serene spot to relax after exploring Panormos. Markos proved to be an excellent guide, offering insider recommendations that led us to hidden gems and unforgettable local experiences. Panormos itself exuded a peaceful ambiance, with charming streets and delightful tavernas. Our stay at Idili traditional house with Markos left us with cherished memories and a desire to return. If you seek an authentic Greek getaway with a touch of history and a warm host, this is the place to be!

The location of this quirky and beautiful guest house is perfect. Edge of village in a quiet lane, so very peaceful but very close to the small village centre with it's tavernas, shops and the beach. The traditional old house is absolutely lovely and the apar**ents are kept in beautiful condition. My apar**ent on the ground floor is really spacious and cool. The large veranda, with it's comfortable outdoor furniture, overlooks the well tended and tranquil garden, where one can spend time on the chairs and sunbeds dotted around for guests' use. The varied and delicious breakfasts are served with a smile in a shaded pergola across the garden. The range of fresh local produce will keep you going for the whole day! Best of all is the hospitality provided by Marcos and his family, who cannot do enough to ensure the comfort of their guests. Every time I go there I am made to feel welcome and special. Thank you again Marcos.

We were welcomed in a very friendly and helpful manner by the owner and enjoyed the delicious breakfast the first morning of arrival. The spacious apar**ent had all the necessities and a beautiful terrace full of perfumed plants where we could relax before heading to our visits in the area. The guesthouse is situated in a very pretty little fishing village close to restaurants and shops but yet quiet and peaceful. The kindness and discretion of the lady working with Markos has been mostly appreciated too. Thanks to both of you for having made our holidays at the top.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the beautiful village of Panormos, between Rethymnon and Heraklion, in an old stone house, renovated and maintained, which has everything you need. The owner, Marcus, is super nice and takes care of every need that came up. Breakfast was divine. Looking forward to coming back again.

Words cannot describe how wonderful Marcus the host is, and what a great experience he gave us. We took all 3 apar**ents for the whole family. Each apar**ent is unique and beautiful. Every morning we have an amazing breakfast in a sweet garden, with relaxing music in the background. The food is so fresh and delicious!!! Marcus and Stella respond super fast with any of our requests, and always with a smile. We feel at home, and would love to be back here!! Also, the village is gorgeous, and withing 100 meter of the apar**ents you will find pharmacy, supermarket, cafés and reasturantes. Highly recommend!!!

Marcos is an extremely kind host and represents Greek hospitality perfectly! He even prepared an early breakfast, as we had to catch the ferry. The rooms are very quiet and tidy. We had a pleasant stay and will surely come back!
