On a positive note: The location is good for a stopover: Quickly to reach from the highway and plenty of parking. Breakfast was ok. the breakfast people didn't speak English but they were helpful and friendly. The room was small and looked dated and dingy. I can't say that it was not clean, but it looked dirty, because everything was so old and worn. In desparate need of renovation. The bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I have ever seen. It felt like an airplane wash room. Definitely too small for a 3-bed room. There was obviously no sound proofing. We could hear pretty much everything from the hallway and the adjacent rooms. There seems to be an active party folk in the hotel on a Friday night, that made it hard to sleep. The absolute lowlight was the reception staff: Short, unfriendly, bordering rude. Maybe that was a language barrier, too. But I would expect the reception staff in a Northern Italian 4* Hotel (so close to the city of Parma) to speak at least decent English. Talking about stars...no idea where those came from. The level we experienced is way below 3*. Definitley the worst hotel out of 10, on our 17 day road trip through Italy. Luckily we only had to stay one night here and were gone in the morning.
