Dream Downtown by Hyatt

噪音污染嚴重，樓內有club,音響震天，到凌晨4點，根本無法入睡，三天沒休息好

The Dream Downtown has stepped up their game when it comes to hospitality. I believe this is because the Hyatt now owns it. My room was kept clean and had a great view on the 11th floor. I booked a King size with city view. The lobby area has a chill area where you can lounge, along with a funky art gallery. The downside, the higher the floor, the louder you hear the music from the rooftop club/bar, so make sure you ask about that upon check-in.

I love this property, but was a bit disappointed that there was a large piece of carpet ripped up right at the bathroom entrance, and instead of replacing it, they glued it back down and it looked awful. I paid over $400, and at that rate I think the room should be impeccable. I honestly have no idea why hotels still use carpet. It’s just a Petri dish for dirt, allergens and bacteria!

The hotel adds a destination charge of $57 a night (Small print in ******* buy process). Normally this is a charge for local taxes and such, and is very small. They use it as a tacky business strategy to make more money, when a more honest business would just advertise their honest rates. How low can you go?

I loved this place, is very comfortable, the staff is very friendly and polite thanks so much for the good service

December 17, 2023 I checked into dream hotel. Upon arrival I was greeted by a receptionist and I don’t remember her name but for the most part, she was very pleasant and she was able to accommodate me with an early check in which I appreciated because I was celebrating my birthday. I was made aware that I had a remaining balance that needed to be paid. I was also made aware that there would be $150 incidental placed on my card. I asked the manager Anthony if it was possible for me to pay that incidental hold with Cash,he stated to me that it was not possible. I paid the remaining balance on one card, and I paid the incidental hold on another card. I then inquired about the procedures regarding my $150 incidental hold. The receptionist and made me aware that it will take 5 to 10 business days depending on my financial institution for me to receive my refund of $150 back. Upon check out, I made the concierge aware that I did drink one of the bottles of sparkling water. I asked the concierge if I could pay cash he responded to me that at the time he would comp the bottle of sparkling water because he didn’t have change. My card was charged 12/18/2023 at 6:05 pm for the same charge he said he would comp. I was refunded the $10.89 on December 19,2023 after I called to inquire about the charge. It is now January 3,2024. It has been 13 days business days since the day of check out and I still have no refund regarding the hold. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED.

A great location and HUGE rooms. I adored the space we had which is rare for a New York City apartment. The bathrooms were also really large. Limited wardrobe space but we managed. The round port hole windows were a fab feature to watch Manhattan skyline from up above. Staff were friendly and easy to check in and out. Good pricing as well even at Xmas time.

The room is beautiful and modern and I loved how clean the place is and how the staff cleaned the room everyday. The surrounding area is a relatively quieter part of New York city and it’s near a subway station. The bar area at the lobby is beautiful
