Amazing location giving wonderful views…..but definitely not a five star hotel. No bar, main reception closed and new reception is a small office. overall in serious need of renovation. One of the main attractions of the hotel is that you can access the old town of Nafplio via lifts directly from the hotel. There were three and two had obviously been out of order for me many months m. The 3rd broke down while we were there and we had a long hot walk into town. The lift that does occasionally work is filthy , covered in graffiti and smells of urine and would be an embarrassment to a 1star hotel. Overall, over priced, dated and dejected. We stayed as we didn’t believe the other reviews… they were all accurate! Avoid

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit toller Aussichtslage. Ein Teil des Hotels war wohl geschlossen. Wir hatten uns in den Villas eingebucht (Zimmer mit Meerblick). Sehr schöne Zimmer. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Da uns das zugeteilte Zimmer nicht so gut gefiel konnten wir aus verschiedenen anderen Zimmern auswählen. Das Restaurant bietet eine wunderbare Aussicht. Das Frühstück war ok. Wir aßen einmal zu Abend, das Restaurant wurde ja sehr gepriesen für die Küche und Qualität. Es ist etwas hochpreisiger. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmte hier für uns nicht. Es wird Live-Pianomusik gespielt. Dies ist natürlich Geschmacksache. Das wirre, teils nicht gut gespielte Potpourri von Ave Maria über (abgedroschene) Opernarien bis hin zu griechischen Klängen und lateinamerikanischen Klängen könnte zwar ein tolles Repertoire zeigen, wirkte aber wahllos und beliebig nacheinander runtergespielt.

Giving this hotel a 4.5 hinge rating, as these tired feet need a good night’s sleep. Nice central location. The town square is close by and a walk along the waterfront is nice. Not much traffic or tourist this time of the year

Except for the lack of Wi-Fi this is a pretty good hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great view. Nice pools with great views. The staff was very helpful in setting up a trip to the ruins as well as transportation. It has a great location above the old town, and is easy walking distance to a nice beach and some impressive ruins from one of the old fortresses. There’s an elevator down to the parking lot at the beginning of the old town, and if you don’t feel like walking back up the it’s a cheap €5 taxi from the taxi stand in town. Probably doesn’t rate 5 stars because of the lack of WiFi but we just used the hotspot on my IPhone and had no problems. I think some of the reviews are unfairly critical and I would recommend staying there.

Booked a seaview room and was given a room that faces an old building and a pathway. When I complained I was told it was an upgrade. BS The one thing we looked for and booked was a nice seaview room. The friends we traveled with were given a room two stories higher with views of the sea and harbor. For the same price our room and patio looked at an old rundown building and some poorly kept trees on a pathway. The wifi does not work. There are about twenty light switches in the room but only half do anything and only if you play with them for a few minutes. We slept last night with one light on because it would not turn off. The rooms and the hotel are old and poorly maintained. There are 3 elevators but only 1 works. The pool area is overgrown with ****s. There are old broken tiles and worn out flooring everywhere. The main part of the hotel is shuttered including the reception area and the staff work out of a converted guest room. During breakfast there were workmen with a jackhammer outside the restaurant. Thank god we are only here for 3 nights and then off to a Marriott in Corfu. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
