David, Claudio, and Isabella went the extra mile to ensure that we felt welcome and that our stay was comfortable. David was extremely responsive and helpful when it came to our questions regarding the building's different internet networks. Isabella brought us an extra comfortable chair to use for my remote online work. Claudio provided us with some very helpful local connections and tips, including the best local wines and where to get them. We will stay in touch with the family and we look forward to seeing them again soon!

Ci siamo fermati solo una notte ma lo abbiamo lasciato a malincuore. La stanza era molto accogliente ed abbiamo ben riposato. La mattina poi la sorpresa è stata grande nel trovare una tavola preparata con la massima cura in un bellissimo ambiente e con prodotti di ottima qualità. La torta era squisita.Claudio e suo figlio poi gentilissimi. Lo consigliamo vivamente e speriamo di poterci ritornare.

Non pensate ad un luogo in cui pernottare una notte e lasciare la mattina per poi dimentic****ne. Il Glicine aggiunge alla vacanza una vera e propria esperienza, le stanze sono arredate in stile antico, i soffitti sono altissimi e alcuni dettagli (come ad esempio un vaso da notte d’epoca e un piccolo scrittoio) evocano epoche passate. Noi abbiamo soggiornato nella camera Rosa, silenziosa ed ampia, con bagno esterno privato; la doccia è comoda e calda. Colazione abbondante e curata. Per parcheggiare è necessario cercare nei dintorni (ci sono comunque due parcheggi gratuiti molto vicini alla base del borgo).

Arrivati a Montefollonico, un piccolo paese in cui tornare indietro nel tempo e stare in pace, siamo entrati da un piccolo cancello in legno in una cartolina. Ci ha accolto David, il giovane proprietario e Nilo, un canone che ci ha fatto festa. La stanza (letto, armadio, cassettone e bagno) è arredata in stile antico e profuma di storia, molto comoda e accogliente. L'accoglienza è la parola chiave, siamo arrivati la sera di sabato e nonostante questo la disponibilità è stata presente da subito. Colazione straordinaria, giusto mix di dolce e salato, con prodotti locali e una torta fatta in casa, tavola apparecchiata con cura, una coccola che ci ha fatto sentire a casa, grazie al sorriso oltre che di David, anche Claudio e Isabella, i genitori. Ultima esperienze da favola, la terrazza che si affaccia sui tetti del paese e sui dintorni (Pienza, Montepulciano e le splendide colline toscane, consigliato al tramonto, che non abbiamo visto di lì, ma dalla strada, da lì deve essere magico). Grazie per avere reso la nostra fuga romantica ancora più avvolgente, come un abbraccio.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo suggestivo b&b per qualche giorno…atmosfera unica, la pace del borgo, l’unicità del paesaggio, la storia del b&b raccontata dal giovane David, la disponibilità e la pazienza di Claudio nel gestire le varie richieste da me avanzate per il pernotto, l’ospitalità curata nei dettagli e le buonissime colazioni preparate con attenzione e cura dei particolari…una vacanza che porteremo per sempre nel cuore. Ci siamo salutati con “alla prossima” perché ci ritorneremo con grande piacere.

B&B a conduzione famigliare. Coccolati e viziati con una colazione superlativa. Le torte di Claudio patrimonio dell’umanità !!! Disponibili in tutto persino ad un check-in con sei ore di anticipo. Ci torneremo! Claudio mi ricorderà per la frase:” lo teniamo per l’ultima cena …”
