This is a very good hotel in a lovely well situated town that has seen better times. We booked directly with the hotel and travelled everywhere by train. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the station. The room we had had a great balcony with a very comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. The only downside was the walls are very thin so you can hear everything gong on in the evening but this didn’t matter as most residents were in tour groups that generally went to bed early. We were half board, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The dinner was a three course menu which was not Michelin star but delicious with a choice of two pasta and one soup first course (large portions) and three simple main courses and one desert. I enjoyed the food. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring the region and I recommend trips up the vehicular railway in town, a visit to Siena, Florence and Lucca on the train. Lucca is spectacular so don’t miss it. One last note regarding the hotel, the staff are fantastic and very friendly. We will return for sure!

We went to this holtel via travelodeal in September 2022 and found they did not cater for vegetarians. We tried to suggest a few dishes even some vegetarian pizzas but they said they didn't have an Owen. On the last night they took the complete p???? and brought raw ingredients to our table instead of any cooked meals

The room may be basic but has all you need - very comfortable beds and clean. It is the staff that makes this hotel - very friendly, helpful and doing all they can to make your stay a memorable one. The hotel is in a quiet but central area, and having the pool is a plus.

Had the best time at this hotel shared with my 3 girl friends. Staff were so nice and professional and spoke multiple languages really well. A great selection of breakfast and evening meal limited but served fresh and quickly so we could go out and enjoy the evening. Brilliant places to go within walking distance to funicular train and Montecatini Alto for mountain top views and lunch and to the train station to enjoy Florence or Luca for the day. Relaxed by pool too. The short break didn’t disappoint and very reasonably priced. Thank you.

Value for money we had a fabulous stay . The location is perfect for exploring Tuscany as the train station is a 5 minute walk away so we were able to explore Lucia and Florence. The train fares are so cheap and the trains run on time too ! The staff are excellent and couldn’t do enough for us

Stayed 1 week in early May. Overall it was a good experience. Our room was old fashioned but all the essentials worked well. Comfy bed, hot shower and a light on the terrace. The food gets mixed reviews and it does depend on your expectations. It isn’t fine dining but there’s a decent amount of choice and you won’t go hungry. Breakfast was good, my only complaint was there were no fresh tomatoes. Because we stayed a week we ate out in the evening on some nights and there are a decent number of good restaurants in the town. The tables are quite close together but this made for some nice chats with our fellow guests so we enjoyed this aspect. The thing elevates this hotel the most is its staff who are all lovely and do their best to make your stay an enjoyable one. Our stay also included a free bottle of wine on first night and funicular tickets to Montecatini Alto and wine tasting. All little extras that added to our enjoyment.

We stayed at this family run hotel for 4 nights such a lovely hotel with kind staff that make you feel welcome. Breakfast was lovely and as was the evening meals. Highly recommend the whole area. Lots of nice restaurants and shops around. We came back after the opera and hotel staff were there to welcome us back

Just returned from a stay at this family run hotel. A real gem! After a long journey, we received a warm and friendly welcome from Sara - and 2 glasses of Prosecco which was part of the deal. Both Sara and Angela were very friendly and helpful. It's a 3* hotel with a fabulous patio garden with mature trees and lovely shrubs and roses. The food is traditional Italian fare and plenty of it. We particularly enjoyed the salad buffet which was provided each night. The bedrooms are clean and inline with the cost. We paid a bit extra and had a fabulous balcony which caught the evening sun and overlooked traditional Italian buildings. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming. We even got coffee and croissants at 6.00 am before we left for an early flight. Hotel Reale is a good value hotel and a perfect base for exploring the area.

This little gem of a hotel in a quiet but central location in Montecatini was excellent value. All the staff were extremely helpful from making us welcome, providing useful information on the town plus other tourist spots -excellent customer service. We stayed on a half board basis with good food and a varied menu. Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. The organised trip on funicular and wine tasting in Montecatini Alto was a lovely experience. Would recommend a stay here in this beautiful part of Tuscany.
