Mangonui Waterfront Apartments

My love of old brought us to this accommodation. When hubby showed me photos of where we would be staying I was thrilled! We chose the apar**ent 'Tahi' for our 5 nights and I loved pottering around in my little home away from home. With the option of 2 great outdoor areas I had my coffee watching the sun come up on the balcony and a wine in the arvo on the sunny private deck. The well equipped kitchen allowed me to cook a roast dinner and the dishwasher took care of the dishes while hubby watched tv from the comfortable couch. This apar**ent had a wee hallway that lead to the bathroom and large double bedroom, as an early riser I loved being able to close the passage door so that hubby's sleep wasn't disturbed. Our hostess Erika was on hand with plenty of local knowledge, suggestions of where to visit and the best places to eat. No complaints about this place, just lovely memories.

My husband and I stumbled on the waterfront apar**ents in mangonui just by a lucky break. It made our holiday. Daniel the owner and Erica the manager could not have been more helpful. The apar**ents are very clean, well appointed and in the best position located close to shops, restaurants, galleries and supermarket and are reasonably priced for the area and amenities. We stayed in a queen room and also the front apar**ent which is spacious and right on the waterfront. The weather was stunning so we ordered neaeby takeaway pizza and sat on the balcony with a lovely bottle of wine. Perfect! We highly recommend these apar**ents and hopefully will be back! Opted for the Tahi, an excellent and proper one bed apar**ent with a large balcony accessed from the front room and the bedroom. It also included an excellent fully functional kitchen, dining area and bathroom. Situated in the heart of Mangonui with outstanding views and only a minutes walk from the rest of town. Debra our host was fabulous and we will definitely come again. Enjoy…….

Making things up as we go, not much choice in the area, drove into the carpark and met the owner/manager. He gave us a good rundown and allowed us to walkthru the apar**ent. His partner came to register us and also talked us over the great options around town. The room itself was fully stocked with kitchen equipment and utensils and the amenities are above average. Really happy with the choice, but the best part was at the end (or beginning ??), the sunrise…wow, totally east facing we got it all. Amazing. Thanks team you were great.

We enjoyed staying a night at the Waterfront Apar**ents in Mangonui following a day trip to Cape Reinga. Andrea was a lovely host who gave great travel advice and had great local knowledge. Our upper floor studio apar**ent was beautiful and had more than we needed for our nights stay but could see such potential for a longer holiday and it being a comfortable base for exploring the far north further. An added bonus was it was pet friendly too. TheWaterfront Apar**ents are situated in a great spot with cafes and gift shops etc just a short stroll away.

Mangonuu was a disappoin**ent after Paihia. The Fish Shop was dreadful. We should have listened to advice and eaten at the pub. Accommodation was OK but average. Clean and comfortable. Host was helpful and friendly.
