Aegean Sky Hotel-Suites

Stayed here for a week in building 4 of this hotel. Arrived late on the first night and was met at reception by friendly staff. After check in we were asked to head to the bar and outdoor sitting area for a welcome drink and take in the surroundings. We were then showed or room which was separate building from the hotel and across a busy enough road. Thankfully we didn't have the kids on this trip. Appar**ent Room was lovely and clean with all the essentials for the week to cook breakfast, etc. A few days during our stay we would sit at the pool at hotel reception which was nice and relaxed. Music on in the background was alright to. The owners would be here also and would have a small chat to you asking you about your stay and so on. Very nice people. Hotel location is great. About 300mtrs to the start of a busy ***** and you can't gear a bit of it which was great. Thanks a mil for a lovely stay.

2023 was our 2nd year at Aegean Sky, Malia. Fantastic place, 5 minutes from the hustle & bustle of the trip, great location. We love this place & have already booked for 2024 🇬🇷 Panos the owner of Aegean Sky is absolutely amazing & nothing is ever too much, most importantly he ALWAYS stops to say hello ❤️ The team are family and again amazing people. This is one of our happy places. We met some lovely people this year & will hopefully meet again next year 😎 Sharon, Rich, Ronnie, Gareth & Lisa ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Accommodation is spot on, clean & reasonably priced. Left on roadside at 1.30 am, no friendly welcome, had to hand over passports while stood on the side of the road before being shown to our room. Didn’t realise the 4 buildings were completely separate with back lanes and other hotels in between. Room was ok, very clean. Only one pillow each, not much storage for clothes. We were told to be at reception at midday, and not to be late! Greeted by Joseph who proceeded to relay all the prices, I believe he said 15 euros per night for air con, ? 4 euros per day for wi if in room, 30 euros per week for safe. If we did the full package he would give us a discount, not sure how much discount but it totalled over 200 euros with the discount! If we went to the Greek night we would get the wi if in our room for free for the first week only. Plus the government tax of 21 euros. We ended up paying 60 for the safe, 60 for Greek night and 1 week Wi-Fi plus the tax, so 141 euros on first day! Did not get a warm welcome at all, never saw Panos except in passing, he said ‘how are you’ once but he was on his bike. He did seem to make a fuss with some people but not everyone. We have been going to Crete for years and always to the family run ones, but would not return to this one. The cleaners worked really hard and I hope the owners appreciate them. Malia old village is lovely with very good restaurants. Our favourite was Petrinos, lovely food and friendly lady.

Stayed in Sky 2. Serious problems here. The security guard would talk on his phone after midnight right outside our room, he must be part deaf because he would shout. Two times I told him to be quite, the second time he said "shut the f** king door" No lies!!! Now the rooms are on a main road so noisy but I didn't find traffic a problem but someone who almost shouts on the phone past midnight and later is very annoying. He also said "if you pay for aircon you can shut the doors". Now it wasn't that hot at night, certainly didn't need aircon. I recon he maybe related and upset they didn't get more money? How did he know I had no aircon and why should that matter? Another incident, my son accidently knocked an empty bottle on the floor in the outside café and the girl there who takes the orders gave a VERY dirty look as if it was done on purpose. Dreadful customer care!!! The swimming pool area is crammed with sum beds, grass nearly non existent, mainly soil with lots of litter. The positives were the room was well equipped and cleaned by polite ladies, so I left a tip for them but I certainly wouldn't go there or recommend it. Residents should never expect to be sworn at, totally disgraceful and I will take that further. Wonder how they can excuse that. Maybe they can apologise?

The service at this hotel was brilliant definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a nice hotel. All bar staff and cleaners were really respectful and made sure you were taking care of. Being at this hotel for a week I’ve not had one bad thing to say about any of the staff you are well looked after. And the food is delicious. Over all really recommend to anyone looking for a nice holiday in Malia.

A family run hotel with the amazing owner Panos and his family. Panos and his team do everything they can to make you feel welcome throughout your stay and communicate with all guests regularly. The family are non stop working at all times - you can really see how much effort they put into the hotel and how happy they want to make people. Great location near to the Malia ***** and the Saturday BBQ night was great! Lots of Greek dancing, a free cocktail for all and 2 for 1 on all drinks! There is an additional charge for air con but we managed without it during our stay. We were able to keep our room on our final day (late night flight) for a small charge but we were extremely grateful of this so didn’t mind paying. Would definitely return in the future! 😊

Arrived late at night,bombarded with extras like air con 15 euros per night ,b q night 30 euros each,does and don’t signs every ware you go ,next door decided to buy small fan was confiscated told he could have it back when he was leaving, bed rooms basic red hot mosquitoes everywhere not very nice.

We stayed at Aegean Sky for 7 nights earlier this month and we’re left super impressed. A group of 3 friends in our early 20s we were left thoroughly impressed with our stay. We arrived quite late at 4am and as such we were taken to our rooms and told to check in during the next day to allow us to get some sleep. The next afternoon we headed to reception and were greeted with the warmest welcome from Panos and his son. We had seen some reviews about the extra charges which had left us cautious but our experience could not have been made more easier. We were explained clearly about the additional extra the hotel offered etc. It was made very clear this was all optional for our benefit. Ultimately we decided to pass on these as we felt it wasn’t what we required and the staff were absolutely fine about it. Not at any point we were pressured or asked to reconsider. After that we were then taken to the bar where the drinks offers were explained to us and we even got a free shot. We were located in block 3, which admittedly was a little further out, but it suited us great. The room was very modern and the bathroom fully updated. The staff always greeted us with a smile and Panos chatted to us around the pool area and when we would see him out and about in Malia. The Old Town is located very close by as is the *****. Overall we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to come back! It was also a welcome relief after some of the reviews we had read as our experience was fantastic and the complete opposite. A great time had by us all!

Just returned from another stay at the Aegean Sky, Panos, Joseph, Joanna, Michalis and the whole family were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. My son developed a really bad infection on his toe, Panos was there immediately, helping to give him some relief, he applied some cream and dressed it each day, twice a day until we left. We needed a battery for our AirTag, again Panos leapt into action, found us a battery but wouldn’t take any money for it. We were all bitten heavily with the mozzies, Joanna gave us some good advice on how to avoid getting bit and supplied us all with some cream, the cream and advice worked like magic. This family work so hard, always there for whatever your request may be, they will do their u**ost to deliver. The rooms are clean and tidy and our room was spacious.the cleaners are also friendly and always willing to help. The only downside for me , are the chairs on the balconies, they are so uncomfortable, you can’t sit on them for long. I missed sitting out on the balcony with my book, early evening. On arrival Panos will say welcome to our family, trust me by the time you leave, you will certainly feel like you are.
