Sofitel London St James is in a fantastic location in the heart of London! A hop, skip and a jump to Piccadilly Underground and a short walking distance to Pall Mall, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben! The staff are all very professional and courteous and always greeted me with a smile each day. The onsite bar and restaurant were fantastic and the in-room dining menu offered many delicious options! It was my 'home away from home' for a 12-night business stay and I enjoyed every minute of it! If my travel budget allows, I will return! Thank you!

The Haymarket is not a grand hotel by any means, but that’s just fine by us. It is extremely comfortable, with excellent service, large, well-organized rooms (even in the lowest category), luxurious bathrooms with powerful showers, and wonderfully inviting common areas. The staff is always pleasant and seem to like working there. The location is ideal for us - easy access to the theatres, restaurants and shops of Soho and Mayfair, and to the Mall, Green and Hyde Parks for morning runs. Staying there is akin to visiting a friend who has eclectic and excellent decorating taste - and a wonderful 55 foot long swimming pool in the basement. Per our request, we were given the same room we had stayed in last July - and it was ready for us when we arrived at 1pm. Sadly the light we had enjoyed through the large windows during our last stay was obscured by painting scaffolding and nets - but I suppose one has to keep up appearances…After years of staying at the Berkeley and the Connaught, with occasional unfortunate forays to the Hotel Cafe Royal and the Stafford, we have found a London hotel that works for us; while expensive, it represents good value in the stratospherically priced market.

I was looking at the Biltmore and the Waldorf but decided to stay at the Trafalgar as they have bigger rooms than the Biltmore and the Waldorf looks like it is in desperate need of an upgrade. Everyone was very polite and helpful apart from one staff member, more on that later. I was upgraded to a Suite on arrival but requested a toom with two beds instead which was granted. The Nelson double room is very spacious and modern. It faintly smelled of mothballs whenever you entered the room and the smell then quickly disappeared. We noticed that one of the beds was sagged in the middle and this was very quickly resolved by the maintenance team and was not an issue for us at all. The only reason i mention it in my review is because Alejandra apologised a thousand times for this “inconvenience” and even send us Macaroons and drinks to the room as an apology. During checkout, Alejandra apologised again and made sure our stay was perfect. There was a key card under the bed which was covered with dust as was the carpet under the bed. Cleanliness regarding this could obviously be better as dust can trigger allergies. The service of the staff at Trafalgar is above that of all other Hilton properties in London and certainly a step above from general hospitality service in Europe. I would give the service at Trafalgar a 9 based on European standards and a 7 based on Middle-Eastern and Asian standards. Breakfast was so highly rated in many reviews of this hotel which also influenced my choice, i was expecting an absolute feast. Unfortunately, breakfast was quite disappointing for us. Staff was great apart from someone who i can only describe as a North-African young woman with shoulder length curls who did not want to give us one of the three empty tables available in the Breakfast room with only 40 minutes available for Breakfast as she was keeping those for families of 7. This is rather absurd and we ended up taking one of the tables anyway as i wasn’t going to sit where she suggested which was away from everyone else. Breakfast in any hotel, especially 5* is always based on first come, first serve. You can’t deny your guest seating space at breakfast as if you were running a dinner service. Vegan options are very, very limited. Fruit selection is even more basic than what you can get at any supermarket in London. There was only Cantaloupe, Watermelon and Pineapple. There were Apples and Bananas for grabs but that is still not enough. Pastries are miniatures which is really shameful for a breakfast buffet. Only sausages available were Pork, no vegan and no Chicken so unfortunately no sausages for me. It’s basically a full English and that’s it. You could order A-La-Carte but that wasn’t special either. We had Amex Platinum credit so we used that for one of the dishes which was not special for the £15 asking price. Room service was basic as well. Food arrived with a very friendly staff member but it was slightly cold. All in all it’s a good hotel fo

Wir hatten ein sehr sauberes, ruhiges, grosszügiges und gut eingerichtetes Familienzimmer. Die Zimmergrösse war für vier Personen sehr gut, insbesondere für ein Hotel im Zentrum von London. Leider hat es mit dem ursprünglich gebuchten neu renovierten Zimmer nicht geklappt, da das Zimmer gemäss erhaltener Mitteilung kurzfristig aufgrund eines technischen Unterhaltsproblems nicht verfügbar war. Das schliesslich erhaltene Zimmer war aber trotzdem hervorragend und wir haben uns darin sehr wohl gefühlt. Perfekte Lage des Hotels direkt beim Piccadilly Circus und somit in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Underground, Restaurants, Shopping, Theaterviertel, etc. Sehr gutes Frühstück im Restaurant Terrace, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, hervorragende Infrastruktur, sehr schöne Lobby. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten London Aufenthalt wieder im Hotel Le Méridien Piccadilly buchen.

Finding a luxury hotel in London that could accommodate an 87 year old in a Wheelchair was challenging. Most of the older hotels weren't built that way - so I needed to look for somewhere modern. I heard about The Londoner and went to take a look around. I was met at reception by Adrian. He couldn't have been more helpful and spent time showing me all areas of the hotel and how easily and safely the wheelchair could get around. There is literally nowhere that is not accessible - from the brilliantly equipped accessible rooms, to the restaurant, the roof top bar, the swimming pool, the private residents' lounge - everywhere. I was sold! Lliya from the reservations team then helped book 3 rooms and made sure that at all stages the needs of all our guests were taken care of. The hotel is fabulous - beautifully appointed with luxury finishes at every turn. The views from the roof top bar are stunning, and staff upstairs were friendly, fun and helpful. The spa treatments were excellent, and the pool is beautiful. It was a really fabulous stay, made all the more so by the fun, helpful and inclusive staff. Thanks everyone - much appreciated.

Wir kommen nun schon seit über 10 Jahren ein- bis zwei Mal jährlich in dieses sehr zentral gelegene Hotel und möchten drei Dinge besonders hervorheben. Zum einen hat man von einigen Zimmern im oberen Stock eine wundervolle Aussicht auf die Stadt und seine Sehenswürdigkeiten, zum Anderen sind die Matratzen einfach ein Traum. Wir schlafen das ganze Jahr nicht so gut wie in diesen Betten. Aber darüber hinaus ist auch das sehr freundliche Personal zu loben, allem voran Daniel (Guest Relation Manager), der uns schon viele Jahre begleitet und sofern es ihm möglich ist jeden Wunsch erfüllt, sowie immer hilfsbereit ist. Er und sein Team tragen wirklich zu diesem immer wieder gelungenem Kurztrip bei und so fühlt sich ein Stadthotel in solch einer Metropole immer wieder wie nach Hause kommen an. Leider sind die Preise in den letzten 2 Jahren deutlich gestiegen, sodass wir unseren diesjährigen Aufenthalt stark kürzen mussten. Aber sofern es uns möglich ist, werden wir uns auch beim nächsten Mal wieder hier einbuchen und die Gastfreundschaft inmitten der Londoner City geniessen.

Für 2 Nächte waren wir in diesem Hotel. Es ist bereits das 5 Mal dass wir in London in einem Z Hotel übernachten. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber die Lage des Hotel unschlagbar. Während Corona wird leider kein Wine & Cheese angeboten, was schade ist, aber verständlich. Sonntags mussten wir früh an den Flughafen, leider fahren um diese Zeit keine ÖV, aber mit einem Uber was das kein Problem.

Gute Lage, direkt neben dem Trafalgar Square, neben Tesco Express und Macdonald. Das Hotelzimmer ist auch groß. Freundlicher Service, Sie können chinesisches Essen mit nur Essen bestellen. Das Zimmer verfügt über eine Mikrowelle. Die Hygiene ist durchschnittlich, wirkt grau und das Badezimmer hat einen leichten Geruch. Es gibt keinen eigenen Parkplatz. Auf der anderen Seite des Platzes gibt es einen kooperativen Parkplatz. Sie können vorübergehend an der Tür parken und Ihr Gepäck abgeben, bevor Sie zum Parkplatz gehen. Das Parken kostet 44 Pfund pro Tag und etwa 37 Pfund mit einem Hotelcoupon. Es gibt hier tatsächlich zwei Hotels, eines ist großartig und das andere ist cq. Ich habe großartig gebucht, aber in Cq gelebt. Ich weiß nicht, wie ich das arrangieren soll. Wenn das Hotel nicht besetzt ist, wird es zwischen 7 und 800 verkauft und der Preis ist gut. Schließlich liegt es in der Nähe der Themse und anderer Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Bei diesem Hotel überzeugt hauptsächlich die Lage. Man ist schnell bei der U-Bahn oder zu Fuss an ein paar Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Zimmer sind okay. Toll fanden wir, dass man im Hotel gratis Trinkwasser beziehen konnte. Leider hatte unser Zimmer kein Safe, die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht wirklich und das Badezimmer war halt typisch britisch. Der Fitnessraum bietet gerade das Nötigste. Für einen kurzen Trip nach London sicherlich zu empfehlen. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir es vermutlich nicht mehr buchen.

Auf Grund der guten Lage haben wir dieses Hotel gebucht.Piccadilly und Trafalgar sind in wenigen Schritten erreichbar. Das Hotel ist eher klein;das Personal ist freundlich. Die Zimmer sind für London eher gross, jedenfalls unser Zimmer hatte genügend Platz. Das Bett war gross und komfortabel. Leider ist das Bad sehr sehr klein gehalten, bei einer Person war es schon voll, es hat auch keine Ablageflächen. Nun zum Frühstück, es hatte zwar von allem etwas aber leider war das Brot ungeniessbar (schmeckte wie Karton) einzig die Croissants waren gut. Wenn man Glück hatte, funktionierte die Kaffeemaschine. Am zweiten Tag unseres Frühstücks war das Buffet noch nicht bereit, Brot war gar nicht vorhanden. Am dritten Tag gingen wir gar nicht mehr frühstücken sondern gingen in ein nahegelegenes Tea Room. Daher gebe ich nur 3 Sterne, Lage und Zimmer, Bett. Würde dieses Hotel nur wegen der Lage buchen aber ohne Frühstück.

In einem Cocoon 3 für eine Nacht, komfortable genug Betten und Zimmer sind ruhig, aber auf Anfrage um eine Rezeption für eine zusätzliche Kuchen, wurde gesagt: ”Wir haben keine zusätzlichen Kuchen”! Ich meine, kommen Sie, ein London Hotel mit NO EXTRA PILLOWS? Ich denke, der Kapsel in der Rezeption konnte nicht gestört werden, weil er nur in der Rezeption auf seinem Telefon stand, in der Tat jedes Mal, wenn wir durch die Rezeption gingen, war er auf seinem Telefon! Auch ein wenig enttäuschend gab es keine Körperlotion oder Haarkonditionierer im Zimmer, Nur Handwasch, Shampoo und Dusche Gel. Und eine Box von Geweben würde nicht falsch gehen, nur ein paar Dinge, die ich in einem Londoner Hotel erwarten würde, vor allem für £250 pro Nacht!

Ausgezeichnete Lage 3 Minuten zu Fuß zur U-Bahnstation Piccadilly 10 Minuten zu Fuß nach Chinatown 10 Minuten zu Fuß zur Einkaufsstraße Oxford Street Es ist bequem zu weinen 2 Minuten zu Fuß zum Supermarkt Tesco U-Bahn! Die heißen Croissants, die morgens im Supermarkt gekauft wurden, sind köstlich! Das Frühstück im Restaurant ist auch sehr lecker. Die Einstellung zum Schlüsselservice ist zu gut. Die Leute sind sehr gutaussehend. Ich werde vom Flugzeug müde. Meine Mutter ist müde. Die Einrichtungen sind gut, kein Geruch, sehr sauber und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Was für ein erstaunliches Hotel und noch bessere Erfahrung! Einchecken war super reibungslos und sehr freundliches Rezeptionsteam. Unser Zimmer war nur erstaunlich, das Bett war sehr komfortabel mit den üblichen hochwertigen Bettwäsche, die für eine perfekte Nachtslaf gemacht. Vieles zu tun im Hotel, auch wenn es nur in den Lounge-Sitzungen sitzt, die die Welt durch in der büstenden Leicester Square sehen. Cocktail-Wahlungen waren sehr einzigartig und perfekt gemischt, das Essen war genauso gut mit einigen erstaunlichen Gerichten. Es gab einen inspirierten Abend, als wir dort waren, der wir lieben, da die Musik groß war zu hören, während wir ein paar Getränke hatten. Ich liebe das Frühstück auf der la carte gegenüber einem Buffet, da der Service viel persönlicher ist. Ich kann nicht warten, bis ich zurückkommt!

Nun zum Frühstück, es hatte zwar von allem etwas aber leider war das Brot ungeniessbar (schmeckte wie Karton) einzig die Croissants waren gut. Wenn man Glück hatte, funktionierte die Kaffeemaschine. Am zweiten Tag unseres Frühstücks war das Buffet noch nicht bereit, Brot war gar nicht vorhanden. Am dritten Tag gingen wir gar nicht mehr frühstücken sondern gingen in ein nahegelegenes Tea Room. Daher gebe ich nur 3 Sterne, Lage und Zimmer, Bett. Würde dieses Hotel nur wegen der Lage buchen aber ohne Frühstück.
