There is no bar or restaurant onsite but you are right next to a number of great bars, restaurants and cafes. The web based keys worked and were simple to use.

Stayed with friends and booked 3 large rooms/ apartments. They were all lovely. Very central . Stairs could be difficult for those with mobility challenges but they were absolutely fine for us and added to the uniqueness of the building.

I had a nightmare stay at cty books hotel and would not recommend to anyone who wants to get a moment’s shut eye at night. The hotel is on a party road by the river loud till 5am and the single glazed windows mean you feel all these people are in your bed. Photos of the rooms are seriously deceiving: rooms are dark and claustrophobic. The staircase steep and v dangerous, not to carry a suitcase up. The hotel is staff-less(!) so there is noone around to ask for anything or complain. My work booked me on this hotel and I will make sure they take it off their list of possible hotels for Leiden. AWFUL

Great location. Beautiful room with amazing history.

Great stay in the center of Leiden! Short walk to Central Station. Room 4 was larger than expected and had everything including dishes/cutlery, coffee, toiletries etc. Virtual check-in was quick and easy, and QR code in the room provided lots of useful information for the area. Overall fantastic stay and would highly recommend CTY Books!

Brilliant location in the beautiful city centre. Rooms were stunning, photos don’t do it justice. Lights and heating were a bit tricky to operate. Kitchen contains basic crockery and a few pans, not much more. Staff at sister hotel very friendly and helpful.

This is low budget sleeping place that the owner called boutique hotel or small hotel in the centre of Leiden for high price of per night. This sleeping place that somebody called hotel even did not have life even the proper safe stairs leading to the rooms upstairs. The stairs are very steep and are not safe for even young people, there is no evacuation route in case of fire. The windows in the rooms are made cheap, single glass windows that make the room cold and windy. The air-co is not strong enough to heat up the room so it is called. There is nobody to help you to get to the room through the steep planks covered with carpet that are not stable called stairs. There is no rail on the side, so if you slipped you are in trouble. The lady And this place is called hotel. In the hotel the crew are there to help you as a person and you are treated as a person. In the boutique hotel CTY books hotel in the centre of the Leiden you nobody, just simply nobody. The owner is happy if you pay 140 Euros per night for this sleeping place. Do not go there if you older than 35 years old and do not want to have your leg injured.Of course the show page of the hotel looks fantastic, reality is not. Of course there in no word about the stairs and the cold rooms on the internet page. The room is spacious but called an dark, even there is no hook in the bathroom to hang wet towels? This was my worst experience with the hotels.

the rooms are very nice and comfortable. only point is that there are many stairs and no elevator. this is imprtant to know if you have to lims 3 flights of steep stairs with your laugage
