I’ll be quite honest, our first impressions when we arrived (by Coach from Kobe) was that it was underwhelming, dull and uninspiring, nor as large as we had expected, and in a fairly unremarkable Residential area. Kyoto was afterall The Capital of Japan (where the Emperor lived from 794 until 1868) and it was spared the worst of the bombing during World War II, due to its History, grandeur and splendour. Inside was quite a different story – modern, airy, massive atrium dominated the centre with Rooms, on each of 4 sides. Rooms were quite large, twin-beds pushed together to form a Double-Bed. Clean well-appointed and equipped, and we slept very well. Breakfast was good, but in a rather small and quite crowded area, so the Buffet demanded a lot of maneuvering round each other and the staff, who could not keep up with refreshing items that had run-out. Central to the ground floor was a Lounge wherein they also served drinks and snacks. We (4/5) sat there once whilst waiting for our 40+ people Coach to arrive. “No Drink, No Food, No Seat” - we unceremoniously were ordered out. Not a good move – to alienate 40 Guests in one move. An impromptu boycott followed The Hotel is due West of the Imperial Palace, so great Location for that, but their Courtesy Bus was well-used for folks wanting to go into the City, or take Buses to visit Tourist attractions etc, or obviously one could take a Taxi. There really was almost nothing in its vicinity, by way of Supermarkets, Restaurants nor Bars. We ate elsewhere every night, but IN the City Centre proper – see above. They had Restaurants, but they were way too expensive for our tastes/Budgets, so we could not Comment/Review them. We returned to Kyoto (our favourite Japanese City) nearly 4 weeks later, but this time stayed in a different Hotel, right in the heart of the City, where we spent tens of thousands of Yen in one night in their Bar.

From the moment we arrived at Roku Kyoto, we felt completely taken care of. From the warm greetings we received as we got out of the taxi to the genuine smiles and hospitality given to us at Reception. There is a pride that exudes from everyone at Roku Kyoto, and for good reason. It is an absolutely extraordinary hotel. But it's not just the beautiful accommodations and the incredibly thoughtful design throughout the property. Nor is it just the sumptuous food stunningly presented at every meal. It is the people who work there and represent the true heart and soul of what the Roku Kyoto experience is all about. My wife and I have traveled all around the globe and we have rarely encountered such a level of excellence. The architectural design, the interior design, the facilities and the grounds are all stunning. In fact, the photos from their website do not do it justice. The room we had on the 4th floor was gorgeous and the bed was perhaps the most comfortable bed we have ever encountered (and we travel often!). The tranquility, the views, the attention to detail throughout the hotel are are not just glorious but absolutely inspiring. The gorgeous pool is filled with water from the natural hot springs that abound in that area of Kyoto. It is a sumptuous experience to swim in that very special pool. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was the best we encountered in Japan. The food was beautifully prepared , the choices were extensive and stunningly displayed and the service was impeccable. In fact, service is another thing that sets this extraordinary hotel apart. It's not just well done, there is a pride and a joy that emanates from every member of the staff, no matter what their position. It's what gives this place true heart and soul and it's what elevates the experience. We will never forget our stay at Roku Kyoto and cannot wait to return! We would like to especially thank Kayo Naskagawa. Her attention to detail, her inherent ability to go the extra mile for a guest. Her sweetness and ease. Her ability to listen and use that information to heighten the Roku experience for a guest. Kayo, for us, represents everything we love about Roku Kyoto and why we cannot wait to return.

We were a group of 6 people staying at the Hotel Mitsui on a trek through Japan. Suffice it to say, that the group was all pleased that we stayed here. Our initial check in process was a bit bumpy (no tea service) as it was clear everyone was checking into the hotel for a holiday weekend. However, within 30 minutes, we were all on our way to our rooms. Overall, the hotel and the rooms are designed in muted tones and a modern zen vibe. Where other hotels would simply have drywall covered with pictures, the Mitsui has clearly thought about every surface. We were in a room that looked out to the central garden, which is beautiful. The room had a nice long marble bench at the entrance which was nice for putting shoes on or setting things down to pack / unpack. Further in the room, there is a bar area, desk area and a nice long padded bench by the window. Controls for the room are near the bed and you can dim lights or raise and lower blinds with ease. The bathroom is a very clever design with two pocket door entrances, offering a closet area, double sink, a wet room with tub and shower and rom for the toilet. The room for the toilet is wide and very peaceful. Of course, it comes with the fancy Toto Neorest toilet that raises and lowers the seat automatically, has a heated seat, has a bidet feature and more. The shower offers both a hand held and a rain head that with a fine spray. Bathroom toiletries are crafted for the Hotel Mitsui. Of course, robes were available (just ask if you need a different size). Let’s talk about sleeping…. The bed was among the most comfortable that I have ever tried (firm, with just the right amount of softness). Down pillows and a duvet complete the scene. And course, should you not like your pillow, there is a pillow menu. The rooms at the Mitsui are quiet with blackout shades. At night, gentle nightlights illuminate the path to the bathroom. In all, the sleep experience is well thought out and devine. One of the stand out features of the hotel would be the Thermal Springs in the basement. The Thermal Springs are a modern version of a traditional Japanese onsen. Access is open to everyone in the hotel, but the number of people permitted in is managed to in more than 14 people at a time. You have to call ahead to make sure there is space, but in our case, we were always able to get in. Anyone who out touring in Kyoto, should make time in their busy schedule to visit the Thermal Springs between their tours and dinner - it is a great way to wash off the city and relax before dinner - very civilized. This review is particularly fun for me as our stay at the Mitsui ultimately caused us to break up with our travel agent. He was SO insistent that we stay at the Ritz , he could not imagine trying something new like the Mitsui (nor was he willing o have his team check it out). In the end, I feel vindicated, we loved our stay at the Mitsui and would happily return

Auch wenn ich mir meinen Namen bei den Ankunftsverfahren gesagt habe, kann ich nicht mit der Buchungsliste überprüfen (Ich sage Ihnen hier, dass dies der dritte ist). Ich habe Frühstück gebucht, aber ich lebte nur (es steht nur ein Zimmer auf der Tabelle, ich habe hier die Fehler aufgezeigt). Als ich den Gepäckdienst an das nächste Hotel (Tank City) gebeten habe, wurde mir gesagt, dass ich nur an der Tank Station (Internet und die Liste der inneren Nutzungsmöglichkeiten auch für das Hotel) gelangen kann. In der Zeit. Als ich das angedeutet habe, habe ich es per Telefon und Transportunternehmen bestätigt und akzeptiert. Selbst damals konnte der Hotelname des Großen nicht weitergegeben werden. Der Preis unterscheidet sich von dem in der Zimmerliste aufgeführten Betrag (der Preis steigt). Das Frühstück ist in der üblichen Tür. Ähnlich. Ich wollte die Atmosphäre von Kyoto genießen, also habe ich beschlossen, ein ziemlich teuer Hotel zu wählen, aber ich bin wach.

Badezimmer klein, aber funktional, alle Toiletten, einschließlich Razor, Haarschneide Zahnschneide. Zimmer täglich serviert, die Möglichkeit, Betten ändern oder nicht täglich. Retragbare Kleidung Linie über das Bad, wenn Sie Kleidung zu waschen. Das Hotel wird sicher empfohlen und würde hier wieder bleiben.

　Ich wollte morgens in dieses Hotel gehen, das ich am besten in zwei Städten wählen möchte. Die Lage liegt an der Nordseite der zwei Städte. Ich bin nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Die zwei Städte sind sehr nahe, aber der Preis ist nicht zu teuer. Das Hotel ist auch sehr neu und sauber. Von meinem Zimmer kann man den Berg Bijiang sehen. Auf jeden Fall ist es sehr bequem, einen Mikrowellenschlauch im Zimmer zu haben.

Im Hotelhandbuch betonten die Eigentümer, dass sie sich mit unnötigen Einrichtungen und den wirtschaftlichsten Erfahrungen für die Gäste begnügen, aber eine Mikrowelle lieferte, die sehr glücklich war (ohne in den gästen des Normal-/Hochhauses). Das Hotel insgesamt ist wirklich kostensparend, so dass es häufig auch gute, billige Zimmer am Arbeitstag hat. Es ist nicht problematisch, wenn Sie etwa 300 buchen. Aber wenn es um 1000 Wochenende geht, muss man sich auch bedenken... Die Zeit für den Austritt ist zehn Uhr und das Badezimmer ist das am meisten besparende zweite System (ein Schlagkörper ist vermieden, als andere übliche Wirtschaftshotels), vielleicht ist es der Grund, warum das kalte Wasser, das gelassen wurde, sehr warm ist. Schau, wenn Sie die Zähne zerkleinern wollen, empfehlen Sie sich auch, das Bergwasser zu bewahren (ein paar Schritte rechts von der Hoteltür zu gehen ist 7-11, sehr bequem).

We had mixed reviews of this accomodation Pros - was a very large room two small doubles and a bunk perfect for families. Amenities are great with wifi, lots of kitchen utensils, stove, tea and coffee supplied, toothbrushes available, washing machine and tablets are provided with an inbuilt dryer system in the bathroom. Bathroom and shower area was also spacious. Beds are on the okay side but could be softer. The area itself is nice and quiet with a bus stop right out from we utilised every day, supermarket and Lawsons are across the road and you feel very safe. Would recommend for families. Cons - check in is in a different location 20minute taxi away so we had to catch a train to the check in office when arriving in Kyoto from Osaka, then a taxi to the accomodation after this which chewed up a few hours as we had to wait 45min in addition to check in due to busyness of the office. The area is a bit out of the way of everything next time I might consider staying at a different resi stay location closer to sights and facilities like shops etc. All the restaurants in the area seem to not open for breakfast until 11am so we had to have McDonald’s if we didn’t want to cook or travel too far for breakfast as we have a toddler (early riser). Same occurred at dinner time a lot of restaurants didn’t seem to be open the Monday or Tuesday we were there or opened too late for us (we travelled with a four year old). Our last disappointment was resi stay apparently have a strict not noise at night policy however another room partied until about 3am but there is no front desk or after hours phone number to call to complain / get the noise to stop. Was very frustrating as walls were very thin so we didn’t sleep very well. Overall we would stay with Resi Stay again but at another location due to Nishijin being a bit too out of the way for us.

AMERISCH!! Dies ist eines meiner Lieblingshotels/Hostels, in denen ich jemals geblieben bin. Es fühlt sich so traditionell japanisch und die kleinen Berührungen um die Schlafzimmer sind schön. Von der ruhigen Musik, die den ganzen Tag bis zum wunderbaren Bad/Dusche spielt, wollten wir nicht gehen! Handtücher, Haartrockner und Toiletten sind erfreulich. Der 206 Bus läuft von der Bahnhof Kyoto in der Nähe von Dormitory Sui und dann ist es etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Während es nicht im Zentrum der Stadt ist, ist es immer noch sehr nah. Die Frau, die auf der Rezeption arbeitet, war so wunderschön und konnte nicht genug tun, um uns zu helfen. Side note: Wenn Sie durch Booking.com buchen, müssen Sie immer noch die Stadtsteuer zahlen, wenn Sie ankommen. Wir waren uns nicht darüber im Klaren. Kann nicht empfehlen, dass dieser Ort genügend, wenn Sie in Kyoto sind!

Mit meiner 80-jährigen Mutter wohnt in der Stadt bis zur Ehe. Sehr nostalgischer Raum. Obwohl sie alt war, war sie sehr gepflegt, als wohnte sie vor 50 Jahren in ihrer Großmutter. Jetzt wohnt sie in einer Wohnung, ich wohne auch in einem geheimen Haus, also werde ich mich immer noch Sorgen um Kälte und Ton machen. Es gibt Heizungsgeräte und Heißwasserschrank. Weil die Stimme so scharf ist, war ich sehr vorsichtig, wenn ich am Abend zum Bad gehe. Da es das Zimmer im zweiten Stock ist, ist es gut, das Zimmer im ersten Stock in der Nähe des Bades zu wechseln. Ich möchte eine Nacht bleiben, aber unruhige Leute empfehlen, mit Telefon oder E-Mail etwas zu fragen. Das Taxi von 500 yen ist ziemlich alt und sollte etwas Neues sein. Nachdem die Gäste die Prüfungen abgeschlossen haben, prüfen Sie bitte das Schmieröl. Das Frühstück ist der Sohn des Halles und essen Sie zusammen (8:11:～ und 8:30:11:～). Zuerst ist der Geruch schlecht und später ist es glücklich. Die nervösen Leute, die zum ersten Mal getroffen wurden, könnten sich verwirren. Seit dem Morgen waren die Chefs handgefertigt. Der richtige japanische Frühstück wie Fisch, Suppe, kleinen Haselnüsse ist sehr lecker. Die Unterkunftskosten sind in Kyoto sehr vernünftig, und ich hoffe, dass junge Menschen und ausländische Gäste jetzt bleiben müssen. Der noch junge Chef sagt, dass ”Hoffentlich Sie sich nicht bequem genießen” ist alles. Wenn ich jung bin, werde ich es sicher nicht wiederholen, aber die letzte Nacht ist es sehr nah (lächeln).

Vorteile: sehr günstig, große Zimmer, sehr sauber, Kühlschrank, Badewanne, komplette Ausstattung und sehr gute Toilettenartikel. Nachteile: Es ist zu beachten, dass der Check-in- und der Aufenthaltsort nicht identisch sind. Der Wohnort ist relativ abgelegen, weit von der U-Bahn-Station entfernt, und es gibt eine Bushaltestelle in der Nähe, die sehr praktisch ist, um direkt zum Bahnhof Kyoto zu gelangen. Es ist also geeignet, morgens auszugehen und abends wieder einzuschlafen. Es gibt einen Supermarkt in der Nähe und es gibt nur wenige Restaurants.
