Der Check-in muss bis 15 Uhr warten...auch ein paar Minuten vorher geht nicht Ich teilte mir ein Zimmer mit meinen Freunden und bat um ein kleines, miteinander verbundenes Haus. Es liegt sehr nah am Strand und ist sehr praktisch. Einer der Swimmingpools befindet sich direkt vor der Tür. Schönes Hotelfrühstück Das Mittagessen wurde auch im Hotelcafé eingenommen. 400🐷Etwa eine Person Ich habe nachmittags im Hotelcafé ein Getränk bestellt und es kostete etwa 150🐷 pro Tasse Die Landschaft ist im Allgemeinen grob, aber die äußere Umgebung ist sehr angenehm An der Rezeption steht ein Auto, das Sie zum Zimmer bringt. Am Abreisetag hat es geregnet, und es gibt auch regenfeste Taschen zum Packen der Koffer, um den Gepäcktransport zu erleichtern. Der Service ist immer noch in Ordnung. Insgesamt ist dieses Hotel nicht schlecht.

I’ll start by saying that the hotel’s surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. The beach is one of the best on the island - clean and tranquil. It made spending time in the hotel a delight. And overall, we had a really memorable time - which was enhanced by exploring the island on motorbikes every day (which you can rent from the hotel). However, there are a number of areas where there could be significant scope for improvement and which, if improved, could make this a much better class of hotel. These are primarily: 1. There was repeated miscommunication with the hotel staff, who generally-speaking (with the exception of one or two receptionists) have poor English. It would of course be unreasonable to expect everyone to speak perfect English; that’s not my criticism here. But what I will say is that a lack of common language between us and the hotel staff made asking questions, even simple ones, about our trip difficult and led to mistakes. 2. The food is really poor at the hotel restaurant, Breeze. We had expensive Thai food which was inedible in part and the only bad meal which we have had during our two week stay in Thailand. Until improved, I’d suggest going to other restaurants on the island - Banana Bar is a real highlight. 3. The rooms which we were first shown to were unacceptably far away from the main hotel and up a number of flights of steps. We asked to change and were moved with no questions asked, which was a great result for us. We thought the hotel dealt with that issue brilliantly. We wondered how often they had encountered this issue having shown people to those rooms. And to be honest, those rooms shouldn’t really be hired out at all unless it is for a serious discount and it’s made clear to guests when they book. 4. Parts of the hotel feel unloved and a bit neglected to be honest - I don’t want to be too harsh here as it may be that the hotelier hasn’t been able to put as much money back into the resort following COVID and it’s aftermath. In particular, the room showers could do with an update. And generally there is an outdated feel to the hotel which could do with being modernised - the furniture in the common parts, the shower by the pool, etc. For the reasons above and taking into account the price paid for our stay, I would give Ao Prao three stars, but my lasting feeling is that with a bit more money, love and attention to detail, it could become a four or five star in the future.

5 Sterne Umgebung Lage und Raumhygiene 👍👍👍 Das Chalet auf dem Berg mit Blick aufs Meer ist der Wahnsinn. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und weit weg von der Innenstadt. Außer den Hotelgästen gibt es im Grunde niemanden sonst. Shoppingfreudige und lebhafte Menschen sollten aufpassen! Wer gerne mit wenigen Leuten einen Tag am Strand liegt, kommt hierher😊 Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich. Ich bin wählerisch bei dem, was ich esse. Im Grunde habe ich zum Frühstück ein paar saisonale Früchte und Eier aus der Region gegessen. Ein Zustellbett für ein Kind kostet 1.000 Baht pro Nacht.Tatsächlich gibt es im Haus ein 1,2-Meter-Sofa. Kinder, die kleiner als 1,2 Meter sind, können auf dem Sofa schlafen, brauchen nur einen zusätzlichen Satz Decken und Kissen. Es gibt verschiedene Aktivitäten für Kinder im Hotel, einfach einen Termin vereinbaren, das Geschäft mit Pferden und Hühnern boomt, Sie müssen einen Termin vereinbaren! Sie können 200 Baht in einem Taxi ausgeben, um zum Abendessen zum Diamond Beach zu fahren und sich dann die Feuertanzshow anzusehen, eine 15-minütige Fahrt.

The hotel is really good and everything we expected. The rooms are spacious and very nice and are cleaned every day. The pool is small but really beautiful, the whole hotel was built in traditional Thai style and is very clean. The beach is just a few steps away and so are the best beach restaurant on Samed (at the Samed Villa hotel) and Silversand bar for late night cocktails. Breakfast was a bit poor. The downside was the beach itself- with high tide hardly any place to lay down, had to rent beach chairs and a rough sea with high waves. The better alternative was to go to Ao Prao for the day, the beach there was amazing, no waves at all and saw the best sunsets there. With the songtiew just 5 minutes away, with a scooter even faster. The resort is quiet and even though almost on the beach, still secluded so the nightrest is assured. Will definitely stay again, because it was more than worth the relative low price (compared to the Ao Prao resorts).

Eigentlich waren wir eher skeptisch von diesem Hotel, aber wir haben uns überraschen lassen. Die Begrüssung am Pier war freundlich, alles klappte einwandfrei bis zum Hotel. Bei Ankunft hat uns das Personal herzlichst begrüsst und ein kleiner Rundgang fand statt und endete an unserer Villa...wow, wow...so eine tolle Einrichtung mit Blick auf das Meer...es hat uns den Atem verschlagen. Alles sehr sauber und komfortabel. Der Strand so sauber, soviel Platz und das Meer sauber und einwandfrei. Das Personal war jederzeit zuvorkommend und war immer sehr freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir haben die 12 Tage im Paradies sehr geniessen können...ausspannen, träumen und sich verwöhnen lassen. Ausflug nach Koh Samet City mit dem Taxi funktionierte sehr gut. Wir waren 2x an diesem Strand...aber kein Vergleich mit dem Paradee-Strand. Schade hatte es ein paar Mücken zuviel. Der Abschied mit einer grossen Herzlichkeit schon am Vorabend war grandios und innerlich haben ein paar Tränen geflossen. Der Transfer ans Festland funktionierte einwandfrei. Unser Fazit: Herzlichen Dank für die wundervollen Tage und wir kommen wieder, das Paradee bleibt uns in bester Erinnerung von der Ambiente aber auch von der Herzlichkeit vom Personal. Merci

First, I chose Koh Samet because I asked a local Thailand friend which island has not been overdeveloped since my early days coming to Thailand in the 1990s. His response was ”head to Koh Samet”. I looked for a value hotel on one of the more southern, less developed beaches which led me to Wong Duean Bay and the Vongdeuan Resort. The pool was a big draw. With the low tide being pretty extreme, it is really nice to have the salt water pool to cool off in and swim laps. The food seemed pretty authentic to me. With mainly Thai visitors coming in on the weekends it figures the food would be good at the Vongdeuan Resort. :) The staff were wonderful and always so fun to share a story or two with. The beach area all along the bay was extremely clean with no plastic on the beach or garbage in the water. This is a big plus when going to the shore in SE Asian countries. There are several beach restaurants but none of them had loud music, at least during the weekdays when I was there. It is definitely a sleepy and peaceful place to enjoy the water at high tide as well as the white sand beach for walks.

Hatten im Oktober fuer 3 Tage ein deluxe classic Zimmer gebucht. Die Zimmer sind von der Groesse ok und gut in Schuss. Man muss natuerlich das nuechterne Beton Design moegen. Strand und Strandunterhaltung mit cooler Musik gefiel mir sehr gut. Die Getraenke und das Essen an der Strandbar sind stark ueberteuert. Zwei Daumen nach unten bekommt von mir das Fruehstueck das fuer 500 Baht extra mager ausfaellt (und es ist nicht moeglich ein Zimmer ohne Fruehstueck zu buchen). Zum Ende der Fruehstueckszeit war vieles nicht mehr vorhanden und wurde selbst auf Verlangen nicht mehr gebracht. Filterkaffee der seit Stunden schon auf der Heizplatte steht und ABSCHEULICH schmeckt ist wohl nicht mehr zeitgemaess. Ich wollte einen Capu kaufen auch das war nicht moeglich da die Strandbar noch nicht geoeffnet war. Eigentlich wuerde ich deswegen nur 3.5 Sterne geben.

Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt sehr sehr Die Villa war sehr komfortabel und ruhig. Restaurants waren ausgezeichnet und das Personal alle freundlich. Nahe dem Strand, der angenehm war. Zur rechten Seite des Resorts fanden wir den Strand war etwas besser als nicht so rockig. Mehrere andere Bars und Restaurants in der Nähe und höher Bars, wenn Sie das wollen. Es war ein einfacher 20/30 min Fuß in die Hauptstadt.

This is a exellent resort next to the sea with one big floor the climb to the rooms is like climbing ben nevis ,The hotel is partially built faze 1 was built the furthest away from reception gaze 2 next to reception 🤔it is a steep clime up the road to get to the hotel entrance then lots of steps no matter what floor you are on . But the rooms are beautiful, clean and quite the staff are so helpful The beach and restaurant, bar are stunning and again the staff at the restaurant are so polite and friendly The town is a 15 minute walk down the beach so well located

We made an error and found out 5 days before our check-in date, that we needed to change the dates of our stay. The staff was in this case and in general very helpful and we recieved the refund immediately. The resort is situated on the cliffs between two beaches, which means youre always close to the water, but you can stay in the shade and away from the beach, when you want to. We stayed in the v suite with our two children age 9 and 12, and it was great for our needs. The pool and breakfast was ok, the restaurent very good, but it is the location and the very helpful staff is what made the stay a delight.
