I can see that this was a great place to stay in its heyday but has declined over time. Positives are it’s location, friendly and accommodating staff (which one would expect in the hospitality industry) and a reasonable price. Negatives that I experienced were that the place was well worn, tired and in need of some investment. Examples are, worn carpets, hole in the dining room table cloth, frayed bath towels, basin not draining quickly due to matted hair in the strainer (fixed same day), broken suitcase rack (fixed same day), evidence of a dampness problem in the plaster on the wall near the window, extractor fan in the bathroom is dark brown with years of dust on the grill in the ceiling, no Barman on duty - was served by reception staff though. Apart from a buffet breakfast there are no meal facilities at all, not even for a light snack. I have to wonder whether this is actually a hotel or just a conference venue with accommodation. If it is indeed a hotel then this is definitely not the four star establishment despite having four stars next to their name on their website. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but only because it’s convenient & I know what to expect.

Das beste vom besten Gästehaus, das ich je hatte. Ich bin 4 Monate durch Südafrika gereist. Die meiste Zeit wähle ich ein Gästehaus. Die Dekoration, der Service, das Frühstück und die Veranstaltungsdetails sind voller Schönheit. Auch die Qualität des Bademantels im Bad, Badewanne, Die Bettdecken im Zimmer sind sehr hochwertig, die ganze Familie ist sehr geschmackvoll, es gibt ein Fitnessstudio, Suzanne weiß, dass ich Fitness mag, und gibt mir auch ein gutes Sportvideo , super intim, fünf Sterne sind nicht so gut wie ihr Gästehaus. Das Dach ist mir auch sehr gut gefallen, super schön, das Frühstück ist sehr gut und schön. Legen Sie vier Nächte fest, fügen Sie drei Nächte hinzu und bleiben Sie vier weitere Tage. Später wohnte Joburg in ihrem Haus. 9

It's a clean place, but please can we get bigger TVs in the rooms coz the ones u have are now too small. Please also install new aircons in the rooms with remotes coz it's too much to wake up to switch off an aircon.

From the check in to the day we left, it was one thing after the other. 1. The team that was checking us in was not consistent, the one half was not willing to go the extra mile to solve our request (being moved from a 2 single bed, room to a double bed, room) and the other half made promises that they could not keep (said that we would be moved the following day, without checking for availability first). 2. My colleague asked for the iron numerous times over the period of our stay, and it NEVER came, she had to go get it herself. 3. We ordered room service, and the food came after an hour plus, AFTER i made an enquiry about my order, which was when they were only assembling it. I do get that it might take time however communication on ETA is important. 4. When the food eventually came, there was no cutlery and no condiments. I could write more, but you get the picture.

Gelegen ca. 30-45 Min. vom JNB Flughafen, speziell Ferndale Mall. Zimmer ist definitiv VERY klein, ok für einen Aufenthalt als Single, für Paare würde es wahrscheinlich Ihre Ehe Herausforderung :-). Aircon, TV mit begrenzten Kanälen auf dem Tisch, warum nicht auf die Wand, starkes WiFi, Kaffee/Tee, sicher im Untergrund des Schranks. Bett war komfortable. Schließlich ein Hotel, das Rauchzimmer bietet, aber es in der Notwendigkeit eines Schraubens und der Stuhl sollte entfernt werden, es schmutzig und es würde etwas Platz machen. Kein Wasser geliefert ! ? Das Badezimmer ist auch sehr klein, Seifendisperser, guter Wasserdruck und eine Menge heißes Wasser. Reinigung und Handtücher jeden Tag angeboten. Frühstück serviert ab 6:30 (7am am Wochenende) gute Auswahl, frisch und schmackvoll. Räumlichkeiten gut gepflegt und sauber. Ich fand das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und mein Aufenthalt war komfortabel. Ich warte immer noch auf meine Rechnung die check-out Lady versprochen mir.
