This is a nice place to stay when visiting Isla. Close to shopping and restaurants and right on the beach.

Excellent location, right on Playa Norte. Walking to great restaurants. Maid service was excellent, fresh towels every day. Good coffee with expresso machine and barista.

The property is wonderful, just big enough to offer amenities, but not so large that it felt crowded. The rooms are large with wonderful views.

We had a really nice stay over NYE in 2023. Great location next to "downtown" Isla Mujeres with a great stretch of beach in front of the hotel. The suite was way above our expectations; I'd love to go back and stay in the same unit.
My only very small complaint is that the pillows are really tall/firm which I found uncomfortable, so maybe bring a small travel pillow if you prefer a thinner pillow.

This was the first time staying at the Ixchel and we had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect for getting to all the places we wanted to go, but you do have to figure out the one ways if you rent a cart. The staff at the front desk, bar, and servers were great! The only complaint I have about service was that one morning e put our towels on chairs and then went to breakfast. When we came back they took our towels off and when we asked them what happened, they did not acknowledge our concern, but they did have our stuff. Besides that, the service was great and the property was clean.

We stay at Ixchel every year and it never disappoints us. The staff is accommodating and the beach is a 10!!! walk everywhere, tons of dining options on Hidalgo Street and within a .5 mile radius.

We were lucky enough to stay on the first floor, so we opened our sliding door and presto: at poolside! And mere steps from having an outdoor coffee in the mornings. Can't beat the proximity to the beach. And it was great to have a 5-gallon jug of water in our room. Love this place!
