Very clean and well maintained property. Conveniently located close to all bars and restaurants in Isafjordur

Great facilities, excellent location and good value. We used the shared laundry facilities, which were fine. We enjoyed the kitchenette in our studio and especially the coffee machine.

We (my daughter and I) stayed in room #1 in the annex for one night. Th room is totally void of any comfort whatsoever, has three beds, virtually zero floor space, a single basic night stand, a couple of electrical sockets, and nothing else, no attempt is made to make the room cozy, no photos or decorations of any sort on the walls. The shared toilet was very basic but seemed relatively clean, the shared shower in a separate room had very bad air ventilation and was not inviting for use at all. We did not use it. Worst part is that the room is seriously overpriced at €163 for two guests per night. Outrageous! I didn't see the rooms in the main building, but the staircase is very narrow and steep, not for guests with heavy or voluminous luggage or disabilities.

An unexpected illness the day before my arrival prevented me from staying. I contacted the property to request a reduced cancellation fee since I was outside the cancellation window. I was very disappointed that the property did not grant my cancellation request and charged me the entire room fee. The illness was out of my control and I felt it was in the best interest of all other guests that I cancel my stay since bathroom was shared and I did not want to spread illness. I understand that policies must be enforced but in this situation, I felt that the property should have only charged me a partial fee for the room.

We paid 23350 isk ~170 euro for 8 square meters room with dirty bed sheets. Stove in the kitchen remembers the fall of Berlín wall, there was one shower for 4 rooms (12 people) and was so grose I felt more dirty after taking it. As sink in toilet there was some metal Bowl and If I would find those conditions in some camping for about hálf of this price than maybe. But otherwise just NO. Not funny joke.

Easy check in. Kitchen is well- equipped.

Adequate, but it’s a hostel.

Did not realize the room was a shared bathroom. Never would have booked. Managers were not at all friendly. No elevator. Street parking was not plentiful.

It doesn’t look like much on the outside but when you get inside the guest house, at least on the floor we were on everything was modern, clean, and comfortable. The common bathroom was large and well equipped. The manager, from Thailand couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.
