Baymont by Wyndham Marshalltown

The hot tub was under renovation, and not usable. Room was very dated, and not kept up. Walls were dirty, towel rack was falling off the wall, mirror was crooked, desk chair was not usable, and toilet would flush half the time. Breakfast area was small, and items were not kept up on. Hotel was at capacity but no coffee was available while the family ate what was left of breakfast options. Sausage, bacon, yogurt and milk were all gone. 2 dogs barked and barked during the afternoon. When I talked to staff about the dogs, my concern was addressed immediately. Pool was warm and kids enjoyed it. Pool chairs and tables were rusty and outdated. This hotel needs some TLC.

The facility was good. Ion the cleanliness the cleanliness ok areas like fire sprinkler in room 108 very dusty dirty, the corners in the bathroom accumulated dirt.

This place smells gross. The hot tub was empty and that’s the only reason we picked there. The staff was never at the front desk because they live there and go to their room. Also ran out of breakfast because no one was checking it because they were in their room.

At first i couldn't get the app to work to make our reservation, did say hot tub... did say when we got there was broken. Very clean we have stayed at this location a lot over the years! Biggest complaint smell of pot in the hotel not everyone wants to smell it. If you don't smoke in your room shouldn't allow **** in the hotel go outside. My husband did go down and let the desk lady know that there was kids running up and down the hallway, also knocking on doors continued 11:31 pm and kids still running up and down the hallway until 2- 2:30 am otherwise the facility was clean and service during check-in was good. Next time I'm go find parents if night clerk can't deal with there guests accordingly. We needed our sleep.

Unattentive agent at desk, her kids in back, noisy fire alarm in our room every 5 min ..finally got moved at 6.30 am. Too late

The room and service were nice. Vending machine was empty. The room was supposed to have a jacuzzi it didn’t. Not pot and pans for the kitchen. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good . I needed to do laundry due to incoming weather we stayed longer there was no dispenser or anything for laundry

Went there for the pool pool was freezing cold, pool room was cold, and hot tub was drained

This was a good price for a room. We stayed at this hotel because it had a hot tub, and the hot tub was actually a cold tub. So, that was disappointing. Overall, it was good for the price.

One of the better breakfast offerings. Not just a too old pIece of fruit & wrapped muffin. Good coffee in morning. Very clean breakfast area. Staff very accomodating & professional.Excellent value.
