GGioTAll bookings at Nustar Resort include breakfast and access to the Executive Club Lounge located on the 23rd floor of Fili Hotel.
Mini-Bar is complimentary with a selection of 2 local beers, juices, and sodas. Nespresso machine with 4 capsules. TWG tea. Bottled water is unlimited. I appreciate the fridge being very cold.
Gerlain Paris branded bathroom amenities, as well as bath salts for the large bath.
Afternoon Tea (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm)
Light snacks with a limited selection of savory and sweet bites, they need to improve on this.
Evening cocktails and canapés (5:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
Excellent food buffet. I like the lechon quesadillas, jalapeño cheese poppers, and siomai. I appreciate the bartender crafting cocktails from a menu of drinks.
I understand the hotel is still brand new, but they need to do multiple inspections before releasing the room to guest. Vanity mirror was dusty from construction.
The Butler service was very attentive, many thanks to Ice (Butler) for making my stay pleasant, he would escort me to the pool, and even breakfast buffet at Fili Hotel bypassing the crowd at the entrance.
Breakfast Buffet is at Fili Hotel which is extensive and one of the best in Cebu. The problem is the crowd, while Nustar Butlers will escort Nustar guests to a table, there’s no dedicated tables for Nustar guests, which confuses the restaurant staff with seating assignments. Alternatively, the breakfast buffet at the executive club lounge is quiet but with limited options, they should have an a la carte menu to expand options like other international luxury hotels.
The security at the lobby entrance is wildly inconvenient and inconsistent, every time you enter you need to prove you’re a guest of Nustar and not a guest of Fili or a casino player. It’s weird that they are sometimes overly strict and many times just ignore people passing by. Guests have a keycard to use elevators what’s the point of the guards that have a list of people’s names and room numbers, if anything that’s a security risk.
The pool service is lacking. Shared between 2 hotels and the upcoming grand summit. The pool area lacks service of a 5-star hotel, towels need to be claimed at a towel hut. My expectation is that there are staff that will setup loungers with towels for guests. And since the pool facility is shared with the muncher large Fili Hotel it can get crowded. Fortunately, Nustar has a private infinity pool which was closed my stay.
Nustar Resort has potential to be Cebu’s most luxurious hotel, they have the hard product with their spacious luxurious rooms, but they need to improve their soft product - the service from the butlers are outstanding and personal, but everyone else seems to be lost. For the asking price of 250-300 usd per night there’s a lot to expect.
Nustar is primed for excellence but falls just short of achieving refined luxury. I’m hoping Nustar partners with Marriott and rebrand under Luxury Collection. Or even Hyatt with Unbound Collection.

GGastnutzerDas Personal ist groß von Türmeister, Eincheckung zum Frühstück/Restaurant. Sehr freundlich und warm. Sie behandeln Sie mit ehrlicher Achtung. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber mit Einrichtungen und Handtücher nie vermisst.
Für das Frühstück bieten sie eine breite Palette an Lebensmitteln und Sorten. Ich wurde nicht müde, auch nach 4 Frühstücken.
Die Lage ist auch wunderschön. Im Grunde an den Mall gebunden, ist jeder Art von Essen (Jollibee zu yakiniku und High-end-Pancake-Platz) innerhalb von 3-5 Minuten zu Fuß. Sugbo Mercado ist 3 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Nur das Beste in der Umgebung.

Das Strandpersonal hat die Initiative ergriffen, Handtücher, Obst und Sandspielzeug bereitzustellen Es fehlte etwas an dem alten Shangri-La-Stil. Insgesamt war es sehr gut für einen Familienurlaub geeignet.

GGastnutzerDie Zimmer waren sauber und sehr gut (mit AC, Fan, großen TV und komfortablen Betten) ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war international ausgerichtet und sehr gut . Die Qualität der Früchte und der Saefte empfand ich als besonders bemerkenswert. Die Pools und der Strand waren sauber und großzügig und die tropische Gartenanlage war stets gut gepflegt und hat bei mir einen sehr guten Eindruck hinterlassen. Einzige Schwachstelle ist der lange Anfahrtsweg von der Hauptstraße bis zur Rezeption, wenn man mal das Hotel verlassen will oder auch mal wieder verlassen muss……

GGastnutzerDie Sraff sind schön. Nach dem Frühstück ließ ich mein Handy auf dem Tisch liegen und das Mädchen gab es mir zurück. Ich bin so dankbar dafür. Das Zimmer war ok, wenn man nicht wählerisch ist. Das Badezimmer ist wirklich klein. Um die Toilette zu benutzen, muss man nach dem Öffnen der Tür in die Dusche gehen und die Tür wieder schließen, um zur Toilette zu gelangen. Ich gehe davon aus, dass nicht alle Badezimmer denen des Zimmers entsprechen, in dem wir übernachtet haben.

Es war schön, dass sie Anpassungen vorgenommen haben, sodass ich es noch am selben Tag verwenden konnte.
Es war ein lustiger Ausflug, denn es gab verschiedene Badezonen, sodass es nicht langweilig wurde und ich alles im J Park genießen konnte.
Ich kann nicht vergessen, dass ich während einer langen Reise den Zimmerservice für koreanisches Essen (Kimchi-Eintopf) bestellt habe und es sehr genossen habe^^

CCarl PaulI’ve stayed in many five-star hotels around Lapu-Lapu, and unfortunately, this property falls short of that standard. The room was relatively small and underwhelming, especially considering the nightly rate of $280 (around 15,500 pesos). Overall, the resort doesn’t compare favorably to its competitors in the area.
Upon arrival, we headed to the pool and asked for towels, only to be told to come back in 30 minutes as they were still drying, not the kind of service you expect from a high-end resort. There were also no poolside activities or amenities for children, making it less suitable for families. If you want to use the children’s play area, there’s an extra charge of 300 pesos per child per hour, and you have to walk all the way back to the check-in counter to pay. Frankly, that felt like a rip-off.
Safety-wise, be cautious walking around as there were small puddles on the floor, likely caused by condensation dripping from air-conditioning pipes above, an obvious slip hazard that should be addressed. Also, don't let your young kids near the elevator lobby windows. They are low level and open outwards.
The buffet breakfast was another letdown. The food was presented poorly, served lukewarm, and surprisingly lacked basic breakfast staples like sausage or bacon, something I’ve never encountered before in a hotel of this caliber. Even more concerning was the presence of pet dogs in the dining area during breakfast, which we found off-putting.
While the sunset views are beautiful, they’re somewhat marred by the rusting ship hull of visible just offshore, a visual distraction that takes away from the otherwise scenic waterfront.
On a brighter note, we had drinks and dinner at the sports bar twice, where the service was excellent and the food enjoyable. However, ordering would be more efficient if they adopted a QR code system instead of relying on guests to find a server.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. For better service, amenities, and overall experience, I’d recommend the Shangri-La or Sheraton, both of which offer a far superior pool, beach area, and level of hospitality. In fact I find Costabella Beach Resort much better services and amenities for a fraction of the price!

HHYOJUNGEs gibt insgesamt drei Resorts, und wir übernachteten im Solea Mactan. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend und die Zimmergröße war groß, was es perfekt für einen Urlaub machte! Es gibt zu viele Schwimmbäder, um sie alle zu nutzen.
Ich konnte es nicht machen, aber ich hatte tagsüber Spaß mit dem Gutschein für den Wasserpark, den ich beim Einchecken erhalten habe, und habe nachts das perfekte Foto am Schwimmbad vor Solea Sea View gemacht.
Das Frühstück war besser als erwartet, aber das Abendessen war sowohl preislich als auch geschmacklich enttäuschend. Abgesehen davon, dass es viele Ameisen im Zimmer gab, war die Sauberkeit gut.
