Motel 6 Goodland, KS

The check in took over 30 minutes. The gentleman at the desk had language barrier and had to call a family member to help him. He kept forgetting what room numbers he was giving me. He was basically asking me what number, Anyways, it’s great for passing through but wouldn’t stay more than 1 night here.

This was the last hotel in town to still have rooms when I-70 shut down due to a blizzard. It was 4:00 pm when we walked into lobby. There were 4 people in front of me. It took an hour to get a room. The clerk couldn’t figure out what rooms were clean, even though the housekeeper was telling him, writing them down and repeating herself. The clerk was clueless. After 10 minutes I was worried that online booking may be a good choice, even though they assured us they had rooms. I finally got a room after waiting in line for an hour. They had no idea on how many rooms they had available. When I walked out of lobby, there were 30 people in line. The room was better than sleeping in car. Not much better, but for $55 what do you expect. It had clean sheets and a tv that worked. I pray I never have to experience this place again.

Since the roads were closed, we had to stay somewhere for the night. Motel 6 was one of the few options still available. The staff was very helpful and even though there were many people needing rooms, they honored our reservation that was made online. Thank you, Motel 6, for being there for us. And, the room was updated and clean.

We had a reservation but they overbooked because of a snow storm so they didn’t have a room for us. We waited an hour and a half in the lobby to check in for them to tell us that there were no rooms. No apology. No refund. When they ran us out of the lobby and locked the door behind us, they were still accepting reservations online for $75/night despite having no actual rooms available. It doesn’t seem like they know how to operate a hotel.

Worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. Not even worth saving your money coming here. There was no hot water (during a snow storm/and below freezing temperatures) and we had to find another place to stay, we had booked for 3 nights. We only stayed one night and found another place to stay. When trying to refund the last night we had. We literally argued with the old man at the service desk for about 40 minutes on Chris**as Eve. He was hard to understand and I do not believe he could understand us fully well either. After going back and forth, the older man said we would get a call in the morning from the manager. I politely asked what time and he started raising his voice at me telling me they will call when they call and he doesn't know, which we decided to just leave right there to not escalate things anymore. We left extremely frustrated and when leaving the older man slammed the desk in frustration. The next morning on Chris**as day, we showed up to get a refund before checkout time at 11 am. The older man was still there and we said we would get another call later today and still was no help at all. It is now the next day and we have received no call from the hotel at all. We paid 200 for 3 nights for 2 guests. Again there was no hot water during a blizzard and the service team was extremely rude and frustrating. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY TO STAY HERE.

It took an hour to check-in. Had to switch rooms three times. Ran over broken glass in driveway and have a flat tire.

The room wasn’t the cleanest. It was absolutely filthy under the beds and in the corners each place. The bed covers had cigarette burns in them. I can understand not having a refrigerator but a microwave would’ve been nice which we finally requested and got two days later. We stayed for nine days.

Checked in late without issue. Room ok. Just looking for a bed for one night. Smoke alarm chirped due to dead battery but maintenance fixed.

The first room we were given had a toilet full of crap, literally. The front desk person was very apologetic and switched our room. The second room had a door that seemed to not shut at the top (but did lock) and a stained bedspread.
