The hotel is under major renovations and it’s badly needed. I made the reservation but wasn’t alerted to this until after submitting payment which I believe is fraudulent practice to customers. There was plaster and paint peeling off the ceiling above the check in desk upon our arrival which was reason enough for me to find a different hotel. I explained to the people working the front desk my concerns and wasn’t offered even an apology. They would not refund my money so I contacted my bank who issued my debit card and they are handling the situation.

Ugh. Under construction EVERYWHERE and they put us in the middle of it. Old appliances, ac units laying everywhere. Hot tub wouldn't heat past 85 which the hotel itself emailed about after we booked the non refundable room. Nothing has been vacuumed in forever in the halls. The rooms have wood floors with no rugs so bring your slippers because it gets cold. We were glad to only be staying one night. Staff were very friendly though. That was the only bright spot in this hotel. They really should do it a section at a time or something. Then maybe they could clean a little. Oh yeah and doors to outside are just propped open all night an shave no locks.

This was recently under new ownership. Very dirty, open hotel room doors with rooms looking ransacked. None of the amenities were available due to construction. The doors to the rooms were very hard to open. I would stay here again but I’m not sure many others would. Do not expect much while staying here. A simple place to lay your head for the night is fine but don’t expect to hang out there, nothing like the pictures online.

Staff was great. Property should not allow reservations until renovations are complete. The room I stayed in was one that still needed major renovations. It was much cheaper than most surrounding hotels, so I can understand that it wouldn’t be perfect. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

We booked this hotel expecting it to be clean. How foolish of us. Slow check in process with boxes of supplies everywhere in the lobby and broken floor tiles. No continental breakfast. We had two rooms booked- The first smelled of stale smoke and urine. The second smelled like something had died and they had tried to use cleaning product to cover it up. We put the air on in both rooms to no avail. Spoke to the manager and said she could do nothing about it but then she offered to put us on the 2nd floor however the rooms had no water. The floor was not vacuumed, and you didn’t want to step anywhere without your shoes on. There were sinks in the hallways and a pile of mattresses near the pool area. None of which was swept or vacuumed. We made the decision to ask for a refund and go to the Comfort Inn down the road. While moving our luggage back into the car we spoke to some people in the parking lot who said they were living there after losing their home in the tornado. Spoke to the attendant and they told us the police are constantly there. Avoid this place at all cost. Dirty, gross, unclean, unsafe and all around disgusting.

I have been at this property over the past 15 years and it is a shame to find this location in such a way. They are renovating but should not be accepting reservations at this time due to the dangerous conditions: mattresses stacked floor to 8 ft high, furniture stacked and sinks with countertops attached leaned against walls found at the pool. Difficult to move around. Pool was stagnant Our room had a working toilet and refrigerator. Floor had cracked shards of tile all over the floor. Bright red stained grout and wallpaper behind toilet.with black mold near ceiling of bathroom.. Pool and hot tub were broken...could not maintain heat levels per hotel handwritten note and water was very cloudy. It is truly a shame that this hotel is in such conditions. I loved this place in the past but $117 is too high for ******* to charge for a night here at this time. The hotel lobby did not have heat and it took us a while to get the room heater to work.,it was in the 30s the night we stayed there.

I ended up not staying here because it looked so poorly maintained driving up. Not appealing at all.

The room had a great bed, a refigerator, and microwave. The bed sheets were clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, the floor was very dirty and the room very dusty. They were renovating so the hall was very dirty. That may be why everything was so dusty. Also, we told the staff, who was extremely friendly, that the outside door to our room (109) would not lock, so we put a chair and table up against it. They just said they weren't aware and didn't seem concerned. Other than that, we got a good night's sleep and will probably stay there again.

It was dirty,gross the doors to my room didn't close proper.Old,used mattresses were piled up in the area where the pool and hot tub were.the hot tub didn't work.I will NEVER go back
