The location is excellent for a walk to the Old city (8 mins by feet) and Varosha (abandoned part of Famagusta, 40 mins by feet). I was greeted with free early check (at midday) and complimentary drink. Spacious room had a view on the Old city. Minibar at additional cost. Good breakfast. The receptionist helped me with my plans first and ordered taxi for me to Deryneia check point last.

Das Port View Hotel liegt in einem neuen Stadtteil von Famagusta direkt an einer vierspurigen Durchgangsstraße gegenüber einem Supermarkt. Die Umgebung ist wenig einladend, aber es soll ja Leute geben, die sich an Verkehrslärm nicht stören. Strand und die historische Altstadt sind ohne Strapazen nur mit dem Auto/Taxi zu erreichen. Die Zimmer des Hotels haben eine ordentliche Größe und gute Betten, leider auch einen nicht mehr sauberen Teppichboden. Die Klimaanlage ist laut, übertönt aber zumindest bis 2 Uhr morgens den Verkehrslärm. Das Frühstück erfüllt türkischen Basisstandard, das Abendbüfett ist zumindest was die Vorspeisen angeht sehr ordentlich, die Hauptgerichte machen satt. Wir mussten drei Tage in diesem Hotel während einer organisierten Rundreise verbringen und sehen eigentlich keinen Grund, warum man als Urlauber hier freiwillig absteigen sollte.

Sehr freundliches Personal, ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und Abendessen. Reinraum mit einem komplizierten Stromnetz ... Der Nachteil ist die schlechte Qualität der Bettwäsche. In der Nähe der Moschee, die gegen 5 Uhr morgens einen Wecker verursacht!

Wir haben 10 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht, das Einchecken war einfach und schnell. Wir bekamen ein Begrüßungsgetränk, das wir nach einer Verwechslung mit unserem Flughafentransfer wirklich brauchten (nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun). Unsere Suite war groß und war ein zweites Zuhause. Es hat eine Waschmaschine, eine Toastmaschine und eine Kaffeemaschine, um nur einige Dinge zu nennen. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Innenpool, eine Sauna und einen Fitnessraum, und Sie können auch eine großartige Massage buchen. Das Frühstück war großartig und änderte jeden Tag einige seiner Optionen, damit Sie sich nicht langweilen. Das Personal an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es hat einen Supermarkt nebenan, der sehr praktisch für Wasser und Snacks war. Es ist auch eine kurze Fahrt zu den Stränden oder alternativ bietet das Hotel 3 tägliche kostenlose Shuttle-Fahrten. Wir gingen auch zum Stadtmauerverband, was ungefähr 20 Minuten dauerte. Das einzige, was meiner Meinung nach das Hotel verbessern könnte, ist eine Masseurin, die sich weigert. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.

We booked it at the last minute as the original hotel didn’t have a working pool. The staff were fantastic and every single one helpful. The room was on the 6th floor and very spacious. Everything was spotless. The view of the port in the distance from the balcony. The tv has Netflix. The minibar was reasonably priced but we didn’t need anything as bottled water is left for you daily. The beds were very comfortable. We had a big double and a single. The air con was powerful. Breakfast was extremely good. There is Turkish tea, Nescafé and juice to drink. There is an inside pool, sauna, gym. Again, very clean. Towels available for pool. In the room they had slippers and a dressing gown. Great value for money. It is the staff that make this place though

A beautiful room on the eighth floor with a panoramic view, a soft bed with clean sheets and a sitting area with a terrace to relax. What more do you want? Price 56 euros with a sumptuous breakfast. Easy parking outside and city center 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car. Ask for the top floor.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. It was excellent value, the deluxe rooms were very spacious, had a balcony and were very well appointed and clean. Breakfast, which was included, had a great choice. Staff were very pleasant and all in all it was an excellent stay. We would definitely go back. It was easy to reach the old town by car and there was a good supermarket opposite. My room had a view of the Port but we only wanted a base to stay in and not a beach hotel, so that wasn’t important to us. Much better value than budget hotels in the UK. Well worth a consideration.

The hotel is not a beach hotel. It is in the town center but only five minutes by car to one of the best beaches of the island. Hotel has arrangement for free umbrellas and sunbeds at this beach, as well as free scheduled bus three times a day for guests wishing to go there. Breakfast was very rich. Staff very very polite and professional. Room was spacious and really clean. Owners of the hotel are around all the time day and night. The chef was amazing. It has free parking all around the building. At the same block with the hotel there are two banks, one pharmacy and one department store with supermarket, clothing, shoes and home stuff.

Stayed there for one night as we go over to FAMAGUSTA often and fancied a hotel close to the walled city. This hotel didn't let us down. The room was spacious and the large firm bed meant I had the best sleep in a long time. All the staff were welcoming and professional. We got down breakfast late and as options seem limited by then we asked for an omelette each. I'm not sure where the cook learnt how to make an omelette because it looked like to hard fried eggs stuck together with what was supposed to be the filling sitting on top. This was only a minor hick up which we laughed about as we ate it. They did by the way bring fresh additions to the buffer breakfast. This was a very good value for money hotel and I expect to be staying there again very soon. William
