Elephant Point

The lodge is beautiful and cleaned. On arrival there were some black insects on the floor upstairs in the room due to some windows left open. Despite that, two people came to help us cleaning the house and checking the windows and the problem was sorted in a few hours. The people that come to clean the house, the pool and the garden are really friendly and nice. The only thing I am not happy with is the game drive with the guides provided by Elephant point. We managed to see more animals driving around by ourselves just following the tips of other people than with the guides. I honestly assumed (also considering the expensive price of the game drive) that the guides would have been more informed and could have shared information about animals sites but we were either very unlucky or the game drives not structured well enough. The food provided during the game drives doesn’t live up to expectations too. A complaint is that the last day before the checkout, the housekeepers came to clean the apar**ent at 9 am, basically chasing us while we were packing. I would have expected them to come and clean after our checkout. And they made us inspect the house for a missing body cream that we didn’t take, probably was just moved to another room or floor. The thing was a bit intense. I recommend this place, just not sure if the game drives are worth the price.

Amazing stay in the Krueger park at Elephant point where you can find 5 stars accommodation with a beautiful restaurant view on the Sabie river! You wake up in the morning to see elephant and giraffe! Really worth it! The safari team was great and we manage to get the big 5 on two days! 💪😊

A beautiful place to stay it is beautifully decorated, plenty of space and things to do, privacy is great and any safari tour you book with the staff from elephant point was fantastic our guide always went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience we managed to see all of the big 5 and so much more

Love staying at the kambaku / umgani lodge We’ve stayed there on 6 occasions and I can’t fault anything . The new lodges are beautiful too . The big lodges are perfect for big noisy families Make sure lodge has air conditioning and generators or solar or inverters

I recently came back from a 3 night visit at the mhisi lodge. While the villa was clean and beautiful- it is clearly not a 5 star resort. the power goes out for 2.5 hrs everyday 3x a day to conserve energy. the generator only backs up a small part of the power so air conditioners go out, internet goes out... the real 5 star hotels in the region all have generators that cover ALL electricity. furthermore- they don't provide soap, tissues, slippers, robes like other 5 star resorts. certain amenities can be provided but you have to request it. Our package included what was supposed to be private game drives but ended up being public game drives which was disappointing.

We stayed in the beautiful Mhisi Lodge. This villa is huge, beautiful and the pool os just perfect. The fire area in the Boma is a very nice touch! The beds were highly comfortable. This place is close to Kruger and we could self-drive easily whenever we wanted to. The only minor point are the load shedding episodes but this is rue for every place in South Africa. At least, this lodge has battery backup so lights and fridge are still working. There is some wildlife on site for those wondering (I was) but no dangerous game in the lodge area (fenced). We have excellent memories of this place which is beautiful and highly recommend it!
