Ibis Cognac is a great example of a typical Ibis hotel. No frills , reasonably priced with everything we needed for an overnight stay on our road trip to Spain. The bed was comfortable, the facilities clean and the wifi was good. Breakfast offered a great selection and they even provided paper bags for people to take stuff away with them . It was well placed to explore Cognac. We didn’t visit any of the brandy producers but there several within a few minutes of the hotel. There is free parking in the public car park opposite the hotel. Special mention should be given to Lucy on reception who went out of her way to be helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

I can not even sure where to begin in listing my praises for Chais Monnet. We just returned from a 3 week visit to France which included time in Cognac and Bordeaux. If only we could have spent all our time at Chais Monnet our trip would have been absolute heaven. The property itself is outstanding, modern and yet with a hint to preserving the past in a thoughtful and respectful way. Our room was beyond comfortable, the bed dreamy. i most appreciated the separate water closet with its own sink, a lovely and thoughtful arrangement. The entire property was spotless and attention to detail seemed to be projected at every corner. I am so surprised to see negative comments related to the staff because our experience was the exact opposite of that. Ellie in guest relations went above and beyond to prepare things for our visit, arranging special birthday celebrations for our traveling companion, making dinner recommendations and reservations, and leaving a personal note thanking us for staying. My only regret was I did not get to meet her in person to thank her, she was on holiday during our visit (well deserved Ellie). All the staff from the breakfast crew to the rooftop bar were friendly and amazingly eager to meet your requests. The bar staff was delightful and we enjoyed several evenings in the Jazz House and at the Rooftop bar enjoying cocktails and excellent and informative conversation. The Spa services were professional and spot on and pool, oh the glorious pool. We spent an entire day enjoying spa services and the pool with consistent but discreet food and bar service. I cannot find enough adjectives to adequately communicate our level of satisfaction. We felt welcomed, taken care of, and appreciated, no one was stuffy or overbearing. The five star designation is well deserved and in the future when I return to this area of France the only place I will consider staying is Chais Monnet. Travail bien fait!!! Ein Stopp auf dem Weg nach Spanien war in Cognac geplant und dafür war das ”Cheval blanc” eine gute Wahl in der freundlichen Kleinstadt. Wir waren mit dem Auto unterwegs, konnten aber in den engen Straßen der Innenstadt eine Parkmöglichkeit finden. Das Hotel selbst ist ein flacher Bau in einer ruhigen Zone. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und bekamen ein überschaubar großes, aber freundliches und modernes Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, dass von dem netten Innenhof abging und ein bequemes Bett hatte. Frühstück wurde auch im Innenhof eingenommen und erschien uns gut und ausreichend. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt, daher können wir das Cheval blanc guten Gewissens empfehlen.

Wow. What an experience the heritage is! The hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard and has everything you would ever need. The reception was very well handled and all of the staff have been absolutely wonderful. A special mention to Louise, sarah and carla who were just the best! Nothing was ever too much for us all considering we were with a huge party of family attending a wedding. The room we had was an accessibility room, decent sized but may be a struggle with a wheelchair but table could be moved if needed. The bed was sublime! I have never slept so well and huge! The shower was excellent, although we did have an issue with water leaking into the bedroom but both the cleaners who were excellent (saline and nadia) sorted the issue straight away. The breakfast was lovely, did have to get down there early to get a cooked breakfast though as the hot food isn't replenished. Fresh bread and pastries however were plentiful and delicious. The tv in the room we had wasn't great for english channels but we were hardly in the room so not much of an issue. The bar is always open for whatever you need. The location of the hotel is simply perfect as it is close to the main areas and close to the stunning park. We didn't go to the restaurant but heard very good things about the food so well worth a try! We will hope to return as a couple in the future and look forward to it very much! Ich habe kürzlich über eine Woche im Hotel Francois Premier gebräuchlich mit mehreren Kollegen verblieben. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer hervorragenden Lage am Hauptplatz des Stadtzentrums von Cognac. Das Hotel ist schön und sehr gut gepflegt. Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet Ihnen 2 schöne Fenster. Was ich mag - Sehr komfortable Bett - Super effizient AirCon - Sehr ruhig - Kettle - Großes Badezimmer mit Regendusche - Frühstück war hochwertig mit vielen Auswahlen und hervorragenden geschraubten Eiern - Umbrellas zu nehmen Zum Verbesserung - Das Hotel WiFi für die Zimmer wurde für die gesamte Zeit meines Aufenthalts zerbrochen. Meine Kollegen informierten mich, dass es für ein paar Wochen gebrochen wurde - unser ganzes Team beendet, die SIM-Karten mit großen Daten enthalten, um von unseren Zimmern zu arbeiten - niemand im Hotel hat mich jemals geholfen, irgendeine Art von Entschädigung für das WiFi anzubieten Situation ANMERKUNG: Es gibt begrenzte Innenparkplätze für eine Gebühr, aber kostenlose Außenparkplätze sind sehr nahe am
