We stayed for a week in April while attending a conference at the Convention Centre. We had a room on the second floor facing the shipping containers near the cruise terminal. In spite of the disappointing view, the room was spacious and comfortable. The restocking of the room was random and we had to ask for water bottles or lotion. The breakfast buffet was included and the staff were wonderful. For a few days they had a separate table with vegan and gluten free items. The other days I would just ask and they would bring me gf bread or vegan yogurt. They have a shuttle going to the waterfront 3 times in the day but we never took it as the timings did not suit us. Ubers were cheap and easy to take to and from the hotel. We stored our luggage at the hotel for a few days while we went on safari and then we returned for one more night before heading home. The room we got the second time was on the third floor and we could hear a frequent loud drilling sound. The front desk didn't know where the sound was coming from but they upgraded us to a suite on the 5th floor which was huge and had a view of table mountain. This was much appreciated as we were exhausted and had a very long flight home the next day. On our final day we took the water taxi (which was a tour boat) along the canal to the V&A waterfront. This also is included by the hotel and they issue a ticket and you get the boat behind the hotel. We noticed how easy it would be to walk to the waterfront too (in daylight). The front desk staff told us not to walk to/from the convention centre after 6pm when it was dark as it was dangerous. There were guards stationed at the roundabout towards the hotel but we were told they were there to keep baboons away. We walked the short 5 minute walk in the mornings and took an uber at night. This hotel and breakfast made it worth the money, but request a room facing table mountain. Front desk staff and security were also excellent.

Das Cape Town Lodge Hotel war perfekt gelegen. Das Personal war so freundlich und effizient. Mein Zimmer hatte einen erstaunlichen Blick auf den Tischberg und war absolut perfekt für meinen Geschäftsbesuch. Das Zimmer war frisch und sauber. Ich habe meinen Kleiderschrank im Zimmer verlassen und das Hotelpersonal hat ihn ins Haus geliefert und mich in Durban zurückgeschickt.

Dieses Jahr entschieden wir uns mal wieder für das Garden Court Hotel am Nelson Mandela Boulevard für eine Nacht bevor wir unsere Reise entlang der West Coast antraten. Leider hatten wir eine Flugumbuchung und trafen bereits um 10 Uhr im Hotel ein - Wartezeit bis 14.30 Uhr, dann war erst unser Zimmer bezugbereit. Zum Glück konnten wir mit unserem Leihwagen in 10 Minuten die Waterfront erreichen. Das Zimmer war sauber, groß und sehr gut eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war wieder im Preis inklusive, der Raum jedoch überfüllt, das Personal sehr freundlich. Der große Parkplatz vor dem Hotel war kostenfrei. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt können wir das Hotel empfehlen.

Overall a good experience at the hotel. Was greeted promptly by a staff member. Got a good room on the highest floor and the hotel was smelling of Indian spices (what a great way to start off). It was the slow season so two of the three elevators were operating. Did not wait that long. The rooms were small. Would recommend only staying about three nights. Great for people traveling business. Breakfast was good and had good seats. Wasn't crowded and did not need to come at a specific time. Laptop vault worked. The adapters did not. Luckily I got some Euro plugs which actually worked in the bathroom area (no where else). There is a USB port by the bed but those are not that quick. Wifi was good in the room but not that good in the lobby. I slept comfortably and it was quiet. Easy to get Uber. Would stay again (if I am on a short business trip). Tip: Do not exchange money at the lobby UNLESS it is an emergency. Also, know where you go and do not look lost.

The hotel is very well placed to visit the Waterfront. Parking is safe and secure. Our room was a bit noisy ie we could hear the other guests. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I have seen in any hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our car was valet parked for us.

Wer Kapstadt einmal richtig kennenlernen will, sollte hier übernachten. Die Wege zu Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäften und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind kurz und man benötigt keinen PKW. Die Zimmer sind modern und großzügig gestaltet, wir hatten von der 10. Etage aus einen herrlichen Panoramablick auf den Tafelberg und den Lion Head. Die Betten waren sehr gut, das Bad bestens ausgestattet. Das Essen im Hotel war schmackhaft und nicht teuer. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Der Poolbereich wurde häufig an private Gruppen vergeben, so dass die anderen Gäste des Hotels hier keinen Platz mehr fanden. Zur Waterfront verkehrt zeitweise ein kostenloser Shuttlebus, aber ein Taxi ist auch sehr günstig. Empfehlenswert ist der Hop on hop off Bus, deren rote oder blaue Route u.a. den Tafelberg oder den schönen Botanischen Garten von Kirstenbosch im Programm hat. Tickets gibts in der Longstreet oder an der Waterfront. Kapstadt ist wunderschön, die Menschen sind unglaublich freundlich und auch nach unserem 6. Aufentalt in Cape Town gibts nichts Negatives zu berichten. Selbst die Pandemie scheinen sie wegzulächeln, Hygieneregeln sind für alle selbstverständlich.

Wir hatten eine Ankunft um 10 Uhr, so reservierten wir unser erstes Nachts Aufenthalt hier, und wir sind so froh, dass wir es getan haben. Es ist sehr nah am Flughafen, und sogar noch nah an unserem nächsten Morgen Autovermietungsagentur. Wir waren auch froh, dass wir die Beratung des Hotels genommen und einen Fahrer reserviert haben, um uns die kurze Entfernung spät in der Nacht zu nehmen -- nur ZAR 130, sicher und effizient. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereites Personal, sorgfältig sauber, gemütlich Zimmer, komfortable Bett. Große Dusche. Es gibt keinen Aufzug/Aufzug, so der Portier hat sicherlich seinen Tipp verdient, weil er unser Gepäck auf die Treppen getragen hat! Und das beste von allen war das Frühstücksbuffet -- möglicherweise das beste Buffet gebratene Eier je, geschmackvolle Sauce, heiße Porridge/Extra-Mahl, Salat mit Pumpkinsamen und Piniennüsse; Auswahl von Getreide, frisches Obstsalat, Yoghurt; plus Toast, Krusten, Pfannkuchen, Tee, Kaffee.

Erstmals auf diesem Grundstück zu bleiben. Große Erfahrung. Von der freundlichen und willkommenen Personalcheck bis zum hilfsbereiten und ewig bereit, das zusätzliche Frühstückspersonal zu gehen. Die Lage des Hotels und die Ansichten machen es aussehen, wie Sie in einem anderen Land sind. Sehr sichere Lage des Hotels. Gehstrecke zum Canal-Wandern. Wäre definitiv empfehlen und wird sicher in Zukunft wieder zu diesem Grundstück zurückkehren.
