YHA Snowdon PEN-y-Pass

Pleased to stay in YHA as planning for hike Snowdon early in the morning. It is also accessible with public transport hourly. Rooms are clean & well served with youths. Have water fill area, drying area, catering area(can cook/reheat meals self), free wifi, bar & rest area. The staffs are also good & friendly. Very much recommend to stay YHA if wanna hike for Snowdon from Miner/PYG track early in the morning.

This hotel was good and price is quite reasonable. And the most important thing is that the area of this city was really beautiful. Hill sights view was really really good.

There was no space to park next to the hostel and the alternative was to pay £40 a day at the car park across the road. The room I stayed in had damp on the walls and the paint was flaking off. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.

I came back from hiking snowdon and when i came back, the cleaning staff had touched my property (The head bit to charger iphone,and cable to charge my battery pack) and “lost" my property. The managers were useless and no one seemed to be communicating.

Beautiful scenary and surroundings ruined by its management. DO NOT BOOK HERE! Whoever manages this property on behalf of YHA is seriously damaging its charity franchise. I have been here many times and unfortunately it's being ruined by its unprofessional, unhelpful and unqualified members of staff. Its clear to see the management have NO personal skills, business intelligence or care for its loyal customers. As a result will greatly impact its franchise and its future customer experiences. This place its situated in a beautiful part of Wales and its ruined by its management and the way it operates. Some word of advice to those looking or thinking about staying at this accommodation. Think twice about it. There are many accommodations to stay within 5 miles of Snowdonia who offer and arrange taxi services/ drop off and picks to and from the start and finish points of Snowdonia. TRUST ME! You will have a better experience especially if you actually need something sorted from this property. Believe me they will not help/assist you, they will just pretend you don't exist and ignore everything. Hands down the worst operated team I have ever dealt with in all my years of traveling and I have been to over 50 countries, many third world and have dealt with people who have nothing, ask for nothing and go out of there way to make the experience the best as possible. The power of word of mouth, reviews and feedback will increase sales for the future to maintain a sustainable business. Even people with no or a lack of education can even see that. Its a real shame this place doesn't. If that doesn't steer you away to look elsewhere than I wish you the best of luck. Staff were amazing. Very informative, welcoming & open to a conversation Food was above par, as Hostels go, this has to be one of the better breakfasts I have purchased Dinner was good too Drinks are reasonably priced. Facilities are tidy and cleaned regularly, this also includes a drying room that is locked secure Parking is limited, so plan well in advance

Booked the private ensuit, did the job? All staff,were amazing had breakfast and eveing meal. Both were nice. Especially after the hike up snowden.
