"Very warm welcome from the lovely Jenny, she's a real asset and is totally brilliant. All the other staff were also smiling, welcoming and efficient. The hotel location is excellent, a short(ish) level walk along the seafront to the centre, past an attractive marina where you can watch 'boat people' fiddle endlessly with their craft whilst never going out of the harbour (it seems). There are two car parks, one just across the road (Google Maps makes it clear) and one just a bit further away, which we chose because of the EV chargers, both take 'coins' (what they?) or Pay By Phone. Car parks can get busy, never saw them full, especially the further one. Room was very clean, everything worked including quiet and efficient air-con, but the room is looking its age and needs some refurb, such as re-grouting the bathroom and putting electric sockets both sides of the bed (!). Bed was comfy, windows open if you want that, curtains are effective at blocking the light (not a given in some hotels). The adjacent Table Table restaurant was good, breakfast buffet was fine, enough choice and an opportunity to overload the calorie count, staff were totally lovely and helpful, evening meal was good - and arrived with reasonable speed (I'm looking at your, Helston May Tree, last time there, 90 minutes from order to delivery). Overall, a really good hotel, I'd happily recommend it and stay there again if visiting the area"

"This country house hotel is an absolute jewel. From the moment we stepped inside the door we felt at home. The hotel is warm and cosy. The staff are extremely professional and welcoming. Our room was immaculate. Big soft bath towels, lovely local toiletries. Very comfy bed. We had a three course dinner and wine pairing, which was excellent. All in all I would highly recommend staying here, be it for a night when "passing through" or for a longer holiday. We'll definitely be back!"

"We were with a group waiting to board the steam train so had some time to get some lunch. Not knowing this village we purchased a sandwich and a coffee and sat on some empty benches, we chatted to a nice guy sitting at a table and continued to enjoy the lovely sunshine. This guy ran out of The coach house and screamed at us saying “when you’ve finished do NOT put your rubbish in my bin and hurry up out of here”, I asked him not to be so rude but he continued shouting, it was so embarrassing. What we hadn’t realised was, we were sitting on his benches but hadn’t purchased our food there ! He could have been civil to us but chose not to be. Avoid at all costs"

"Nachdem wir diese Gegend viele Male durchgelaufen haben, entschieden wir uns auf einem sonnigen Sonntagnachmittag zu besuchen und hatten einen schönen Schon und Sandwich mit Tee und Kaffee. Gut schön vorgestellt und der Brie, Bacon und Kranberry Sandwich war Top-Notch. Der Service war schnell und wir saßen an den Tischen im Garten, nur unten war der Lärm von der Straße und der besetzte Umlauf"

"I had initially booked to stay at this hotel but after personal and unavoidable circumstances relating to my job who told me I would no longer have the time off I requested and would be called into work, I tried to cancel this stay. Agreed that this was within the 10 day cancellation window of the hotel and was told that it would not be possible. The hotel agreed to arrange another date for us to stay with them, but the only dates we had available due to our jobs, the hotel is closed for renovations. The hotel then said they would try to resell the room for the original dates we booked and would give us the option of dates in the future, which they were successfully able to resell the room, so I tried to get my £250 back from my bank due to them now having an additional £250 from another client, thus equalling them to having £500 for one room. My refund was rejected even though this hotel now have £250 on my money and we are not staying at the hotel. I would have been more than happy for the hotel to keep £50 as an inconvenience for the late cancellation. But again, they now have £500 for one room and one party isn't going to be staying at the hotel."

"We had a super 3 night stay with Mark and Annette this week. We were on the top floor in a beautiful room overlooking the river and bridge in the heart of the village. It was spotlessly clean with loads of storage, the tea/coffee and biscuits were replenished each day and the bed was also made every day, which I’ve not experienced in a B&B for a short break. The breakfast options were plentiful and if you want a cooked breaky, the portions are incredibly generous with v good quality sausages and lovely thick slices of bacon served. There’s a lovely guest lounge available with an honesty box for snacks and soft drinks, which was very handy. Parking is available a few mins walk down the road. I would absolutely stay here again and thought Beddgelert was charming. 10/10 and a gold star"
