Travelodge Reading M4 Westbound

Wasn't impressed to receive text whilst abroad to say if we checked in late our room could be let. We were flying back and couldn't guarantee getting there at 3 pm. Had to get family member to call to explain. There are 2 Travelodges, one each side of the motorway. We booked the westbound one. Both have the same postcode. Our satnav only recognised Eastbound side. Result was they couldn't find our reservation. Apparently this happens a lot. Staff redirected us so only a few minutes and a few miles delay. Our arrival delayed by difficulty at Heathrow,ie Terminal change and over an hour and a half hours delay before passengers could access luggage reclaim. Staff shortages. Arrived at nearly midnight. Only Costa open at services. However, staff at hotel helpful. Situation good and quiet despite proximity to M4. We were very pleasantly surprised. Room clean and plenty of space, bed comfortable, coffee-making facility welcome. Bathroom fine and water hot. Slept really well and plenty of choice for breakfast with services placed only a few yards away but not causing any noise problem at the hotel. Enjoyable stay. Pity about postcode confusion Maybe explanation to take westbound services turnoff given on website when booking would avoid confusion and save people being taken to the eastbound site. We were worried when satnav told us to pass westbound services but assumed hotel was approached by another turnoff shortly after. It would have made our arrival far less fraught to have been aware of the fact there were Travelodges BOTH sides of motorway. The hotel itself was good and gave us a comfortable night.

The whole hotel is refurbished and everything looks and smells new. As usual the gentle man at the reception was very helpful and customer focused ( Ranjiv) It’s a new dawn at Travelodge westbound M4 Reading.

Stayed at the Travelodge Reading M4 Westbound it was good value room was clean as was the bathroom the shower temperature wasn't great but adequate .There are plenty of food outlets on site ,the only thing to watch out for is that Travelodge Reading M4 Westbound has the same Postcode as Travelodge Reading Eastbound as we found out so we arrived at the wrong one something that happens alot according to the receptionist

It's my first time booking at the Westbound Travelodge. It was a nightmare to arrive at on the night due to the motorway being closed however the two girls at reception were pleasant and helpful, who'd checked me in. A particular guy on at nights who could really do with a crash course in 'Customer Service'! It's the reason I knocked off a star. A special shout out to 'Saru' who was particularly helpful in sorting out an issue for me in a timely manner, which is 'MUCH' appreciated! Cordial and helpful is Saru. Room is spacious and comfy tho' I'd have very much preferred to have had a walk in-shower than a 'make-shift bath shower'. Otherwise it's been a pleasant enough stay thus far.

The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. Staff helpful and friendly. Quiet for a building at a main service area on a motorway.

The room and beds are very clean and nice, assistant manager was very helpful, polite and is Nepalis which helps a lot with the language and explaining things. I am very pleased with everything, would consider coming again. Thank you ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

I checked in today on 18th April and the duty assistant manager Mr R Gurung was very helpful and polite, the whole family felt welcomed and comfortable with his service

Hotel was basic, but clean and comfortable, no external noise. We hadn’t booked and surprised they don’t take walk ins, but the man on reception helped us go thru the on line booking process, and we checked in there and then
