Ein fantastisches Hotel mit schöner Architektur und Holzdetail. Unglaublich freundlich und unterkunftsfähiges Personal. Kostenloses Yoga am Morgen auf dem Dach und eine Spaziertour ist auf Anfrage zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Zimmer sind groß mit viel Licht. Das Badezimmer ist funktionell mit guter Wasserdruck. Im Winter wird ein elektrischer Schrank, tragbare Heizung und heißes Wasserflaschen geliefert. Gemütliche und gut gepreiste Frühstück. Erstaunliche Wert für Geld.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. Es entsprach dem Foto, obwohl die Größe irreführend sein könnte. Schwarzes Wasser trat aus dem Zimmer aus, woraufhin das Hotelpersonal sofort hinsah, mir aber das Wasser zum Aufwischen überließ. Die Stromversorgung des Zimmers fiel in der letzten Nacht zweimal aus unbekannten Gründen aus. Das Personal, einschließlich des Reservierungsmanagers, war sehr hilfsbereit, aber ich werde beim nächsten Mal, falls verfügbar, ein anderes Hotel wählen.

We had a lovely short stay in Aarya. Starting off with convenience: by being transported by the vehicle arranged by the hotel from the Intl Airport at no extra cost. This was a lovely touch by the hotel as sometimes travellers may want to avoid the hassle of negotiating with taxi drivers and firms. Then being greeted by the wonderful staff at the reception with khada & a glass of refreshing drink. The check in was smooth and seamless. The hotel itself was remarkably decorated to a classic Nepali ‘Newari’ culture which was very impressive. Located in the heart of Thamel, but slightly away from the drawing music & hustle and bustle of the streets to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere that we certainly needed after a long flight. Our room was spacious and kitted out with all the amenities and not forgetting, wonderfully decorated again. The facilities provided in the Hotel, from the Gym to the swimming pool was again impressive considering we were in the heart of Thamel. I particularly enjoyed the view of Sundhara Dharahara and SkyWalk tower whilst running on Treadmill and going for a swim and also the view of Swayambhu whilst doing weights in the Gym. The Sora restaurant at the top floor provided us a majestic view of the city whilst dining both during dinner and breakfast. The glass floor at the dining area was also something unique at the hotel which we have not seen in Nepal. Food was of the highest quality, and we were thoroughly satisfied with dinner and particularly the wide range of options available on the breakfast buffet, from nepali classics such as Sel Roti and Puri to modern cuisine such as Masala Omelette and Sausage & Bacon. Truly a stay to remember and we have already recommended it to our friends and family and will definitely come back to stay here again!! Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet, fantastisches Frühstück, die Mitarbeiterkooperation überall war ausgezeichnet. Dieses Hotel ist nicht ein vier-Sterne-Hotel nach der nepalischen Gastfreundschaft ...it zeigt deutlich, dass es ein drei-Sterne-Hotel ist und alle Einrichtungen mit drei-Sterne oder unten verbunden sind. Die Zimmer sind klein, wenn es gut ist, mit einem Paar oder mit einer Freundin zu bleiben, aber wenn es mit zwei Personen zu bleiben, ist es sehr schwierig, sich zu bewegen und das Gepäck zu halten, und andere Dinge. Die Fenster sind befestigt und können nicht geöffnet werden. Ich werde noch einmal sagen, dass das Personal fantastisch war.

Ich hatte die wunderschönste Erfahrung bei Lo Mustang im November 2024. Ich kam nach Nepal für eine Hochzeit und Anisha am Frontdesk ging oben und darüber hinaus. Kundenservice war 10/10. Ich habe Empfehlungen für die Anpassung, Schmuck, trockene Reinigung und lokale Kleidung mit Transport. Deepika, Front Desk Manager, war fantastisch immer sicher, dass meine Bedürfnisse erfüllt wurden und dass mein Aufenthalt bequem war. Das Hotel befindet sich in der perfekten Lage mit großen Einrichtungen. Ich habe zunächst diesen Ort wegen der schönen traditionellen Dekoration gewählt. Es war wunderschön in Person mit Mauern auf jeder Etage. Frühstück ist fantastisch mit einem Dach oben Blick. Ich habe ein zweites Mal auf meinem Weg nach Hause gebucht, weil es so großartig war. Ich reiste allein und ließ mit neuen Freunden.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

I stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.

Smack in the heart of Thamel. Great retreat in the mayhem of it all. Awesome room and service. A few loud bars in the area but they close early, a little later on the weekend. Bed and hot water awesome. Has cable T.V. to watch movies or catch up with what's going on in the world. Worth the money you pay to stay at this place

I had a wonderful stay at Funky Monkey Hostel Hotel Apartment in Thamel, Kathmandu. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Thamel, making it very convenient to explore nearby restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, and nightlife. Despite being in such a lively area, the accommodation offers a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were one of the best parts of my stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with any questions or requests. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and provided great suggestions for sightseeing, transportation, and activities around Kathmandu. The rooms and common areas were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hostel has a friendly and social environment, making it easy to meet other travelers while still having enough space to relax. The facilities were convenient, and the overall atmosphere felt safe and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the great value for money. Whether you are traveling solo, with friends, as a couple, or with family, Funky Monkey is a fantastic choice for staying in Thamel. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend Funky Monkey Hostel Hotel Apartment to anyone visiting Kathmandu!
