Silversands Hotel

What a fantastic break at the silversands. Thank you to Angela you run a fantastic hotel and all your staff are fantastic . Lauren . Andrea. Richard you all made us welcome . Now a mention has to go out to the 2 craziest drivers I've ever met . Barry and Stevie thanks lads for a total scream . Caledonian are lucky to have you both . We most definitely will be back again . Anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Blackpool then look no further than The silversands the friendliness ull receive cannot be beaten anywhere 😉 😀

We have just spent 3days at The Silversands Hotel and could not praise them enough. The Staff were a delight. Nothing too much trouble and so friendly and welcoming. The whole hotel was scrupulously clean. A bit old fashioned but in the process of being refurbished and with their attention to detail I am sure it will be lovely. The entertainment 2 nights was excellent. Tim on Saturday night was extremely professional, a great singer and a really funny man. Would definitely go again. Thank you.

Great weekend everything a bit dated decor wise but the rooms are clean and plenty of pillows etc .The staff are very good and all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for any of them .My only complaint is the outside where the smokers sit .It desperately needs a good tidy up to us first impressions count and the outside is a total put off but apart from that it’s well worth a try .

Staff were magic, Ryan especially. Yes it's decor is dated, pure retro, steeping back in time, we loved and embraced it. Food was lovely, bingo was great fun. Mostly older folk but we went with 2 kids who loved it. We even embraced the rickety lift.

The hotel is dated but clean, however the way it is run is abismal, when we arrived we were greeted by angela the manager, who informed us that our room was not ready but “the bar was open” , we soon realised that after a few coach trips also arrived they were told the same which I believe was just a ploy for us all to spend money in the bar and as we had drinks vouchers included after check in, I believe this was their way of recouping some of the cost & also realised that the lounge area was not big enough for all the guests staying at this hotel. When it came to the evening meal, we were placed on a table with complete strangers which felt very uncomfortable so the dining room was not big enough either, a couple of occasions we saw staff members & one of the entertainers also brought their children to work with them which i find totally unacceptable & unprofessional. While were waiting for our coach home , someone answered the telephone greeting it as oaklea hotel, so what was that all about? While the hotel does have a lift, you take your life in your hands using it.

Just got back from this hotel after a weekend with caledonian travel,the staff are very friendly food very good and hot,rooms are basic but clean.Only gripe I had was we didn't hav any towels husband went down and was giving 3 hand towels I went back down ltr in the day and was given a room key to go and get some from a unoccupied room.The singers on both Fri and Sat night were very good ,drinks were very good and cheap I would definitely stay here again.

As a coach driver this was my first time stopping at this hotel. There is ample safe parking. The staff, from reception too the kitchen was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and just what you wanted. Both evenings the dinner was very nice, especially Friday night, the chicken was lovely. Breakfast was very good and organised. All together this weekend was a very enjoyable one. Oh the entertainment in the evening.. the bingo caller is a scream , very entertaining!

Booked this trip Caledonian tours stayed in silver sands hotel Blackpool when we got here on Friday afternoon the owner was there heating was on had hot shower the bus driver left Friday to go back to base on Saturday we had no hot water no heating at all had to boil kettle to get washed lot people complaining they had no hot water either or heating on only saw owner on first arrival we were on 3rd floor we used the lift once and that was enough wasn’t safe at all so we had to walk down 3 flights of stairs each time the dinning area wasn’t buffet was served by staff evening meal starts at 5.30pm took till 6pm to get served first course which was soup which was about two tablespoon full then main course was 15 minutes later food basic breakfast toast was cold coffee was like treacle food was cold they did bingo on night till 9pm then singer on a night which he was good was allocated 4 free drinks on night time but didn’t use them as we went to Wetherspoon for food and drink as portion size small in hotel will not be going there again

Just back from a trip to Blackpool staying at the Silversands Hotal. The place was spotless. A special mention to Angela and her team, Shane, Ryan, Amber, Lauren, Liam and Elena. Food and entertainment good. Would happily recommend and re-visit.
