What a friendly pub. Simple honest food and drink if that’s all you need. But if you want a room for the night there are seven lovely ones at pretty reasonable prices too. And top breakfasts as well. We didn’t camp but if that’s your bag the facilities look good and pretty new too. Eight of us stayed for two to three nights to celebrate a significant birthday, and this pub with rooms was ideal. We toured this beautiful part of the world, and a key part of our few days away was the warm hospitality of Megan and Ed. Recommended!

We stayed for Easter weekend and what a pleasure it was we stayed in a large group and nothing was to much trouble. food was amazing all the staff are very friendly and accommodating it was lovely and clean we will definitely be going back for another stay. The views are beautiful and lots of local walks if you enjoy walking.

For the second year running, the Giler Arms has allowed WVVW to take over for the Easter weekend and we simply can’t fault the place. The venue is in such a gorgeous location, with amazing views in every direction. The staff work extremely long hours to ensure everyone is treated like family and no matter what you ask of them, they do it with a smile. This weekend we took over 60 campervans and even though it has rained for months, everyone got on site and back off again on Monday morning. The pub, restaurant and rooms are spotless, which is no mean feat when you have over 200 adults and kids running riot with muddy boots on! The food is spot on, cooked fresh and reasonably priced. We love the place so much, we have already rebooked it for another takeover in August and again for Easter next year! Thank you, Eddie, Hazel and everyone else that makes the magic happen.

Stop over with two families in two Motorhomes. Lovely rural site. Plenty of room for the little people to run and be free. Lovely on-site pub which did great take away food, which was great as we’d forgotten the connector for our pizza oven! Toilet/shower room was basic, but functional. We would come back again for a stop over.

Terrible experience. An en suite room was booked and paid for over the phone but no email confirmation was received. On arrival I was told there was not an en suite room available and so I had to use a bathroom down the hall. The evening meal was edible, just, and next morning there was no hot water in the bathroom. I complained to the lady on duty who told me she was on her own and could not look into the problem. No apology was offered, let alone a part refund. I settled the bill for the evening meal and left immediately without breakfast. Visit this hotel at your peril.

Staff were lovely. Food was Lovely. Room was clean.
Bathroom was separate from the room. Not ideal for trips to the bathroom during the night. Bar noise from downstairs. Sofa bed was not big enough for 2 children. Very creamy bed.

We stayed for a week in a cottage nearby and decided to eat here on our first night. The food, service and atmosphere was so good we ate here every night of our stay. The quality of the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable. We would highly recommend a visit .

We went to The Giler Arms for 2 evening meals during our stay in North Wales. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The food was delicious and plenty full and very good value. We were a large family group, with a dog with us, so ate in the bar area which was perfect with real fires making it really cosy and warm. We would highly recommend The Giler Arms.
