Wir waren begeistert von der Ruhe im Alam Jiwa und froh, dass wir nicht im Zentrum gebucht haben. Die Wohnungen sind sehr groß mit tollem Badezimmer und großer Terrasse oder Balkon, wo es auch das Frühstück gibt. In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es sehr gute preisgünstige Warungs. Ins Zentrum kommt man mit dem kostenlosen Shuttle.

We have stayed here 3 different times, and will come back whenever we visit Ubud. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds and views are lovely, the breakfasts are excellent, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, quiet with great restaurants nearby, and easy access to the more noisy and bustling parts of Ubud. Will be back!

This luxury hotel is all about the traditions and beauty of Bali. Every villa is a suite with a tranquil atmosphere and an eye for detail. Everything is presented as though it’s a work of art. Yellow marigolds are everywhere around the complex decorating Hindu statues that line the walkways to each villa. There are lily ponds and lots of lush greenery and flowers all around the property. The service is also incredible. Manik is one of the people who works in the reception area and he is extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. There is nothing he or any other employee won’t do to make your stay more enjoyable. They will arrange tours, dance shows, shuttles to and from town (free of charge!) and just about anything else you can think of. We also chose to have breakfast included in our stay and are very happy we did. We could have it delivered to our room or eat at the reception area. We always chose our room and sat on the balcony overlooking a stream and jungle. It was the perfect way to begin each day. We cannot recommend Alam Jiwa enough! We hope to return someday and stay longer. It’s a true gem.

A beautiful spot overlooking rice paddies. Spectacular rooms, enormous marbled bathrooms and open air shower. Gracious staff. Walk to the monkey forest, shops and restaurants. Plenty of vegan options.

Our 10 day stay at Alam Jiwa far exceeded our expectations, with the kind, friendly and attentive staff giving us outstanding care. The small, intimate hotel is set in beautiful gardens, hidden away next to rice paddies and a lush, natural landscape. The hotel is designed in authentic Balinese style, with accommodation that ensures privacy, and balconies with varying garden and/or rice field views. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable with a generous breakfast served on the private balconies or by the pool. Lunch and dinner can be ordered in. A short walk down a quiet lane takes you to the heart of the delightful village of Nyuh Kuning (just south of Monkey Forest) with its attractive streets lined with frangipane trees, shrines and a wide range of small restaurants and coffee shops. Ubud is about 20 minutes walk away, although the hotel also provides a shuttle service on-demand. While some guests used the hotel as a base for excursions, we mostly wanted peace and relaxation, reading and swimming, and de-stressing from the first day. We are now planning our return trip.

Alam Jiwa is a hidden gem in Ubud. The staff's kindness and constant availability made our stay truly special. The spacious rooms seamlessly blend with nature, offering a serene retreat. Waking up to natural sounds was pure bliss. For an authentic Bali experience, this place is a must. It captures Ubud's essence perfectly. Whether you seek nature, culture, or tranquillity, it delivers. Our stay was exceptional; we can't wait to return. We highly recommend it!

I had such a good time at Alam Jiwa. The staff were super nice and helpful. It was build, run and owned by a Balinese family so you get the a real Balinese experience. Visually is is gorgeously made and the location in the jungle is peaceful. I stayed in the wooden villa and I totally enjoy the big backyard with fountain, fishes, gazebo big balcony with view on the rice fields. We also had a good view on the sunset. We loved taking a bath in the semi outdoor shower 🛁 I recommend!

We stayed in Alam Jiwa Ubud for 3 days 2 nights, one bedroom suite with breakfast. The service was great, staffs were helpful and nice. Variety of breakfast freshly made. That was first time to stay near the country side, in our room has an outdoor shower, you can enjoy your morning shower with beautiful butterflies :) One thing more, please be aware there are some noises (like dog barking, frog quack) during the night.

I stayed here in July for a week. This place was absolute bliss! The rooms are large and spacious with gorgeous outdoor bathrooms. Lovely sounds from nature at night. Such a peaceful place! The breakfast was so delicious! You can have it on your balcony. Beautifully served and can be ordered in the morning when you wake up or the night before. The banana pancakes are really good. Staff are so accommodating and friendly. I would love to stay again! Fantastic place.
