Haustierfreundliche Hotels in Angra Do Heroísmo

Wir waren eine Familie von 5 Erwachsenen, die in den Azoren Urlaub machten. Wir reservierten 2 Zimmer, eine für 2 Gäste und die andere für 3. Das Hotel ist im Zentrum richtig. Es ist nicht neu, hat aber einige Renovierungen. Es ist bequem zu kaufen, Restaurants und einige Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Das Rezeption Personal war sehr willkommen. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber sauber. Das Badezimmer wurde aktualisiert, aber klein. Es war unser Hochzeitstag und in unserem Zimmer hatten sie eine Flasche Champagner und einige portugiesische Hirten, um uns zu begrüßen. Ein sehr bedenkliches Geste. Das Frühstück war gut mit den typischen warmen/kühlen Frühstücksartikeln. Haushaltspflege war auch gut. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und würden empfehlen.

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt OK - mehr aber auch nicht. Wir hatten eine Junior Suite und haben uns mehr (Meer) erwartet. Positiv sind vor allem das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal sowie das Zimmer an sich zu nennen. Das Hotel ist zwar schon älter, wurde aber gut renoviert. Die Zimmer sind modern, die Ausstattung hübsch und nicht abgewohnt. Außerdem ist es schon geräumig und hell. Im Bad ist das Alter etwas mehr zu spüren, aber es ist alles in Ordnung und sauber. Die Terrasse in der Bar ist auch schön und man kann da bei einem Bier und Snack entspannen. Die Außenanlage und Pool sehen gepflegt aus, haben wir aber nicht genutzt. Das Negative betrifft vor allem die Lage unseres Zimmers. Im gesamten Hotel gibt es nur 7 oder 8 (Junior) Suiten. Unsere lag leider im zweiten Stock ganz hinten zum Garten hin. Also kein Meerblick, wie es auf der Seite suggeriert wird. Gut, kennt man von Hotels, dass sie nur die schönsten Zimmer abbilden. Wir waren aber auf Hochzeitsreise da und das Hotel wusste dies auch. Beim Check-in hat man uns sogar gratuliert, was wir sehr nett fanden. OK, Mehrblick hatten wir trotzdem, also erstmal nicht so schlimm. Direkt neben unseren Zimmer ist jedoch irgendeine Anlage des Hotels, sodass ununterbrochen Wasserrauschen zu hören ist, das manchmal (auch nachts!!!) sehr laut wird. Sitzen auf dem Balkon ist damit nur mit dauernder Belästigung möglich und mit offenem Fenster kann man gar nicht schlafen. Das erwarten wir von dem vermeintlich besten Zimmer im Hotel aber anders! Weiterhin sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Wasser in den Nachbarzimmern, teilweise Gespräche und vor allem Stühle verrückten hört man sehr deutlich. Die Betten sind außerdem nicht sehr bequem. Es scheint eine ziemlich billige Matratze zu sein, da man jede Bewegung des Partners beim Drehen in der Nacht mitmacht. Das Frühstück ist maximal mittelmäßig. Frühes Kommen sicher da noch die beste Auswahl. Insgesamt also eher mittelmäßig und auf unserer Reise die schwächste Unterkunft.

I stayed for three nights at the Hotel Cruziero. The bed and room were very comfortable and met my expectations. The decor of the room and the hallway leading to my room.was surprising. The hallway was like walking through a forest. Pictures of dense forest trees decorated both walls, accented with green lights. Inside the room, above my bed, the wall was decorated with colorful leaves. It was a refreshing change from a normal hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful, and very good. Lots of free parking was available. The hotel is located in walking distance of downtown near very good restaurants. I did wish that there was a restaurant open in the evening at the hotel for the night that I arrived back at the hotel late. For a traveler, like me, who spends most of his time, sightseeing and taking pictures, this hotel provided a comfortable restful night before restarting my adventures

A superb hotel for our stay in Terceira for 3 nights. We stayed in a large one bedroom apartment which had a small kitchenette/living area and huge bathroom. The free garage parking was appreciated in an area with limited parking. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town. Our apartment was on the second floor with a large glass fronted balcony which overlooked the boat yard and sea beyond. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived with reception providing directions to the secure underground parking for our car, the restaurant staff who were friendly, helpful and professional and housekeeping. The breakfast was superb it included a large buffet with everything from local cheeses and cold meats, bread, pastries and even fresh honey draining from the honey comb. There was also a cooked breakfast on offer but as the buffet was great we didn't go with cooked option. We also appreciated the option to have a barista made coffee with breakfast if desired.

Location in heart of city can't be beat, at least not in mid price range: surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Front desk staff could not be nicer, always available and eager to help. A lady who works hard to keep breakfast food stocked, and there's a delicious cake/sweetbread on offer. Small but clean, efficient room, and I had a Juliet balcony overlooking Rua da Rosa; photo of town harbor as wall art. I had a nice sized bathroom and shower; a tripmate complained of a tiny, flooding shower, so maybe I was lucky. Would be nice to have a small area somewhere with a set of dumbbells just to keep in shape, especially with all the irresistible food around.
