Dieses moderne Luxushotel liegt auf der besseren Ostseite von Kalamata mit spektakulärem Blick über die Bay. Die hohe Lage heisst aber auch etwa 1 km Abstand zum Meer. Zu Fuss mal zum Strand - das geht wegen Entfernung und Steigung nicht, leider fährt auch kein Shuttlebus. Wer mit dem Auto da ist, ist allerdings in 5-10 Minuten schnell an einem der Strände. Die Zimmer sind modern und komfortabel und haben alle Meerblick.Das Bad ist mit einer grossen Dusche susgestattet. Bademäntel liegen im Zimmer. Die 2 Pools sing zwar klein. Da das Hotel aber über etwa 50 Zimmer verfügt, sind die Pools auch nicht sehr voll. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist abwechslungsreich und überrascht auch mal, heute zum Beispiel mit frischen Kirschen. Wünsche wie Omelette werden ohne Extrakosten erfüllt. Das Personal ist immer freundlich. Zum Abendessen kann man einen spektakulären Blick über die Bay geniessen. Ein wirklich schönes und gepflegtes 5 Sterne-Hotel, das wir gerne wieder besuchen werden !

Ausgezeichneter Service, aber ich schlage vor, dass Sie die Spa-Pool-Politik in der niedrigen Saison überdenken. I've just come back from another enjoyable holiday at Garden City. We stayed at apartment 606 which had a great view of the pool and was impeccably maintained and cleaned. The last visit (of many) was in January 2023, the pool was warm and well supervised by a very attentive Lifeguard. We enjoyed a warm welcome at the pool bar from all the staff there. The food was excellent. The sandwiches are probably much bigger than you would expect and are a meal in themselves. The apartment complex is very conveniently located for the beaches from Troya to la Pinta. There is a choice of restaurants on the doorstep, a small but well stocked shop near the complex entrance and a larger supermarket at San Eugeno shopping centre within very easy walking distance. I have no hesitation in recommending Garden City , especially for couples and families. Personally we use a taxi to come and go to the airport, the queues are not onerous and the fare around 25 euros each way. Reception can however arrange for a minibus transport to the airport if you book it a day before, which would be especially suitable for groups of four or more. Booked next visit before leaving , been there about 20 times Only gripe is sunbeds which are routinely ”reserved” by putting towels on them all day but not using them all day. However in quieter months then there are sufficient sunbeds. Its a non issue for me as I seldom use them. There's an upper pool too, which is not heated to the same level, which is a bit chilly for January but great for March to October (imo). There's plenty of sunbeds there but you'll have to walk a short distance to the pool bar.

We've just got back from the beautiful hotel, We stayed in room 115 which had the private pool , the room was quite big, with a massive soft bed might be too soft for some as I took us a couple of night to get use to it , we both slept really well and woke up very relaxed, there is also a small fridge , table, with a kettle, you also got tea, coffee, sugar ect, also a mirror on (in) the table, 2 spacious wardrobes, (one had a safe in ) the bathroom area had a shower, (quite small ) a bath which also had an over bath shower, the sink area was quite small, not many places to put your toiletries on, but the whole room was extremely clean, we had a ”garden view” room, not much of a garden tbh, a ***** of grass (that needed cutting ) a tree and a couple of hedges, next to a fence which separated us from the next door hotel (which at times was quite noisy if you were sitting out) there was 2 sun loungers, 2 chairs and a table, and a small plunge pool, not heated, but very nice after spending all day at the beach in +30° . The pool area was big with plenty of sun loungers and a covered area (we didn't spend much time at the pool area) there was a pool bar (where you go and get your beach towels ) which was well stocked and the staff were amazing, so friendly, nothing was too much for them, and they always greeted you with a smile, just cross the road was the beach (pebbley not sandy ) again plenty of sun beds, there was a waiter there who would bring you drinks, food ect, also very friendly. The reception area was beautiful and very clean. The receptionist always greeted you with a smile and were very warm and welcoming. The cleaners work very hard and are an absolute credit to this hotel. Breakfast. There was a good choice, breads, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, ham, eggs, sausage, ect ,the *hot food * was not hot and sat in warming trays , but I did get used to it, the Breakfast was the same every day, The coffee was nice, and again the the breakfast staff were lovely. This hotel was great we have come back home feeling very relaxed and chilled. The only Negative was the cold breakfast,
