Very well designed and equipped apartment with a fantastic view from the beautiful terrace.

Things we really liked about this aparthotel were the light, spacious and comfortable room, well equipped, spotlessly clean, the view from the balcony (top floor) over the town and to La Gomera beyond, the staff were all lovely, the pool was great for a proper swim when not being divebombed by kids and the food we had at breakfast and the two themed dinner evenings we went to all excellent. The walk down the hill to the village and back up is ok if you take the shortcut steps and not a problem for us but might need to use taxis if you're not very agile. Downsides for us were our noisy neighbours - both the adults and their children had no volume switch or consideration for others. It would be a perfect hotel (in our experience) if it was adults only. The challenge of trying to get a parking space outside on the street every day.

We stayed at this hotel for 9 nights….we had a 1 bedroom apartment (no 36), on 3rd floor overlooking the swimming pool and the sea beyond. We could not fault the cleanliness of the apartment on arrival - a washing up pack (detergent, scrubber, tea towels etc) was provided together with an assorted starter of coffee and tea bags. Towels were changed 3 times and bed linen twice during our stay……perfectly acceptable. Having a washing machine, iron and ironing board was great….and they all functioned well!! The balcony was large with 4 chairs, a table and 2 sun loungers plus sun umbrella. The staff were helpful and friendly…..particularly the bar/restaurant staff. We had dinner in the restaurant twice during our stay……good service, nice food and nice measures for our pre dinner aperitif. Also reasonably priced. The only slight issue we had was the complexity of the television —- we just could not get the volume right and gave up on it after a couple of days —— but we didn’t go to Tenerife to watch TV! The location of El Marques was ideal for us…..10 minutes to Los Gigantes village and 15 minutes down the hill to Puerto Santiago. A really nice affordable place to stay — thoroughly recommended.

We first stayed at Vigilia Park back in 2005 and haven't been back to Tenerife since. We arrived on Boxing Day with our 15 year old son. The apartments have had a complete refurb - we stayed in a one bed with a pull down sofa bed for our son. Apartments very clean with a good sized balcony (side seaview). We didn't hear any noise from other guests while we were there. Two good sized pools with great snacks and drinks. The apartments are situated in a small shopping centre and near Lidl which is great for self catering and gift buying - also some great restaurants to choose from. The staff are so friendly and make you feel really welcome. However, the star of the show is undoubtedly Blanquito, the cat. Blanquito is a streetcat who has ”adopted” the hotel and other residents and they make sure he is kept fed and warm. He likes nothing better than to sleep on the printer or sit near reception. He is very tame and likes nothing better than to be given attention- I kept going back to the reception area for cuddles 🥰 We will definitely be back!
