Our 2nd time at Katiliya. Location is both a pro and a con. It is very out of the way, but in return, you get absolute peace the entire stay. The cleanliness is tip top for the property, although u get some visible fatigue in the bedlinen (with holes) and yellowed pillows. Can see the balcony has been freshened up a little. Service is top notch with great hospitability and swift responses to our requests for buggies. There is only 1 restaurant and 1 bar. Fitness centre is an eerie walk down to basement - not for the faint hearted. But overall we would come back again as its the best mountain view accommodation without sacrificing on comfort, almost at a luxury level. Breakfast spread was wonderful. Wished there were lifts though, as my mum has difficulties in walking and had to always climb up and down 1 floor to the restaurant. For such views, you might usually have to consider rundown homestays.

I stayed at The Riverie by Katathani for a night and I was very impressed by the hotel. The location is great, right by the Kok River and with a stunning view of the mountains. The hotel is beautifully decorated with Lanna style and golden motifs. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. I especially loved the balcony where I could enjoy the river view and the fresh air. The breakfast was amazing, with a variety of dishes and a different Northern Thai food every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they always greeted me with a smile. The hotel also has a large pool, a fitness center, and three restaurants to choose from. I highly recommend The Peak, a romantic rooftop restaurant with a 180-degree view of Chiang Rai. The food and wine were delicious and the service was excellent. The Riverie by Katathani is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Chiang Rai. I would definitely come back again.

Das Hotelzimmer ist schön und sauber. Das Frühstück ist ziemlich gut und lecker. Die Hauptbeschwerde betrifft die Frau an der Rezeption, die anscheinend die Managerin ist, die rassistisch und unhöflich ist. Sie erklärte es mir auf Englisch (ich bin Ausländerin), aber als ich am nächsten Tag etwas fragte (natürlich im Zusammenhang mit dem Hotel), tat sie so, als würde sie überhaupt kein Englisch verstehen. Sogar mein thailändischer Freund erklärte ihr, dass sie sie schlecht behandelt. Ich würde nicht empfehlen, bei dieser Art der Behandlung zu bleiben. Bei den Hotelpreisen in Chiang Rai kann man bessere Angebote und gute Dienstleistungen bekommen. Abgesehen von dieser Frau sind die meisten ihrer Mitarbeiter ziemlich höflich und freundlich. Die Managerin braucht mehr Schulung.

The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel and Convention is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel offers ample parking for cars and motorcycles. Its location near the town center makes it convenient for exploring, yet it remains calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet is delicious and offers great variety, adding excellent value to the overall experience. Definitely worth the money paid for such comfort and quality service!

Es gab keine Gesichtshandtücher und Duschpantoffeln, es war nicht sehr angenehm. Es gibt auch keinen Haartrockner im Zimmer. Als ich darum bat, Handtücher hinzuzufügen, die Bettwäsche zu wechseln und einen Haartrockner mitzubringen, erhielt ich eine positive Antwort. Mir wurden Duschpantoffeln verweigert, denken Sie daran und kaufen Sie Hausschuhe. Das Zimmer ist etwas laut und dunkel. Das Bett ist bequem und weich. Das Frühstück ist dürftig und asiatisch. Das Hotel liegt 10 Autominuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Geeignet für ein paar Nächte, aber ich rate Ihnen, eine bessere Option zu finden.

If you have a car and prefer a quiet atmosphere, consider staying at the Chiang Rai Riverside Hotel. The hotel rooms are located in separate buildings away from the main reception area, offering a unique setup reminiscent of a government guest house. We booked the deluxe room to enjoy the river view, but unfortunately, it was obstructed by trees, making it difficult to fully appreciate the view. The breakfast was quite basic. The hotel location is close to the Blue Temple .
