I recently stayed at The Capitol Apartments and had a fantastic experience! The location is excellent, just a 5mins walk from the exhibition centre super convenient. The apartment itself is spacious, with a big balcony that offers a lovely view, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the morning.
The 1 bedroom apartment had ample space, with a large bathroom, bedroom, and lounge area. I was impressed by the size of each room, plenty of room to relax and unwind.
The surrounding area is also great, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and would definitely recommend The Capitol Apartments to others. Great value for the price!

Für die letzte Etappe unserer Reise kehrten wir ins Star Grand Brisbane zurück und wurden erneut nicht enttäuscht. Von den stilvollen, komfortablen Zimmern bis hin zum freundlichen und professionellen Personal – alles an diesem Hotel vermittelt das Gefühl eines luxuriösen Zuhauses fernab der Heimat.
Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend, die Betten unglaublich bequem und die Lage ist ideal, um alles zu genießen, was Brisbane zu bieten hat. Es war der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen und Erholen nach unseren Reisen.
Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Die kostenlose Snack- und Getränkebar, obwohl eine nette Geste, wurde während unseres zweitägigen Aufenthalts nicht aufgefüllt. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn sie aufgefrischt worden wäre, vor allem, da wir mehr als eine Nacht blieben. Hoffentlich wird hier nachgebessert.
Abgesehen davon hat es das Gesamterlebnis nicht getrübt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier wirklich genossen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Familienzimmer ist ein wirklich großes Layout ein perfektes Zimmer sehr ganz schön Hotel, die nahe der Hauptstraße leichte Layout ein kostenloses Parken, das die meisten Sie in der Stadt zu bezahlen hätten würde wieder bleiben :)

Einwöchiger Besuch in Townsville – einfach toll! Super Lage, alles Wichtige ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Cowboys Leagues Club ist schnell zu erreichen und das neue Stadion ist fußläufig erreichbar.

Nice hotel in a good location. Staff were friendly. Well layed out pool and bar/meals area. As with everything in Airlie, did is quite expensive but they did decent sized portions. The rooms are quite small, particularly the shower door which is a bit awkward to get around unless you're slim. No room service during our 3 night stay. Bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows and a good sized smart TV. Overall it was a nice place to stay

Hotel is next to star casino and walking distance to board beach. Hotel is looking pretty new and in fact, has been opened for few years.
The only down side was the house keeping on one of the night. We booked for 3 rooms for 3 nights, on the first day, the house keeping was completely messed up. 3x Rooms did make up (partly) with soil towels (one of the room only has bed tidy up, nothing else) and etc were collected, however, no cleaned towels replaced, bin still full.
Without this drama, this hotel is good.

Great option for a quick visit to Brisbane. Clean, spacious, modern, secure and very comfortable. Basement parking for an additional $15. This extra charge is not made clear when booking the accommodation...just a little disappointing when you arrive. Great location, close to fortitude valley, transport and the city.

Team was very friendly and helpful.
Location is great, you have the esplanade close by as well as all the touristic thing.
We had a great sleep thanks to their very comfy bed and quiet street, bathroom need some upgrading but you still have all the necessities bathtub and all.
The pool was close for renovation but the lagoon at the esplanade is well worth the walk.
Would definitely go back :)

GGastnutzerDas Hotel hat eine hervorragende Lage, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt und mit der Stadtbahn direkt im Erdgeschoss, sodass alles bequem zu erreichen ist. Mein Zimmer lag im 16. Stock, und ich habe, wie in den Bewertungen erwähnt, keine Kakerlaken gesehen. Das Zimmer war geräumig, gut ausgestattet und recht sauber. Meine einzige Beschwerde war, dass das Frühstück à la carte serviert wurde und die Preise auf der Speisekarte standen. Das Frühstückslimit lag bei 30 Dollar pro Person, jeder darüber hinausgehende Betrag wurde separat berechnet. Dies war bei der Buchung nicht klar angegeben, und ich hoffe, dass dies in Zukunft behoben wird.

Ssuper fishWe stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower.
First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay.
On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent.
In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell.
Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night.
However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine.
Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement.
In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems.
I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

Oouliana routDie Lage des Resorts ist sehr gut, am Fluss, in der Nähe des Surfers Paradise Zentrum und Spaziergang zum Strand. Es hat viele kostenlose Garage und auf dem Parkplatz. Es hat Tennisplatz, schöner Pool mit heißem Außenpool, Fitnessraum und trockene Sauna. Alle Service-Desktop-Kerle waren sehr aufmerksam und hilfreich. Nebenan ist, dass das Resort alt ist und viel Wartung braucht. Alle gemeinsamen Bereiche brauchen einen Gesichtsaufzug. Alle Einheiten haben individuelle Eigentümer. Die Einheit, die ich blieb, hatte im Badezimmer gesunken und die Bettmatrix im Schlafzimmer war ausgezogen und auf einer Seite sagging. Glückwunsch konnte ich auf der anderen Seite schlafen!

GGastnutzerDer Busverkehr ist nicht sehr bequem. Besonders wenn Sie nachts zum Hotel zurückkehren, können Sie oft keinen Busverkehr haben, wenn Sie lange Berge zurückkehren. Aber es gibt einen Busverkehr am Tag, wenn Sie nicht zu häufig sind. Es ist gerade eine Entfernung vom Zentrum.
Die Blumen im Badezimmer haben einen seltsamen Mechaniker, aber zwei Handtücher sind immer noch gut.
Es gibt einige schwarze Punkte im Schlafzimmer, aber das Zimmer ist groß. Es gibt keine Landschaft und gar keine Privatsphäre im zweiten Stock, die den Menschen zugute kommen.
Am nächsten Morgen hat er über 270 Messer außer 100 Gold gedreht. Nachdem er den Postmanager kontaktiert hat, hat er keine Erklärung dafür gemacht, dass er sich entschuldigt hat. Es fühlt sich sehr unglaublich an.

PpsouzaThe elevators are from the time that elevators were not invented yet, there is even a lovely ghost sound when it shuts the door.
The bed is small incredibly small, the room is small, the towels are small, even for me that am small.
There was no space in the parking (probably is also small), though they have 3 teenagers working there, and I was advised to park in the public parking across the street that closes at 11pm, and you cannot take you car off.
The rooftop bar doesn't exist.
The carpet has a lovely amount of hair from the time the elevators were installed (maybe belonged to the ghost)...
They couldn't link my accor accounts and none of my member benefits were provided.

GGastnutzerDas Meriton Hotel besticht durch seine hervorragende Lage und voll ausgestattete Zimmer mit Herd, Kühlschrank, Backofen, Wäschetrockner und Waschmaschine – alles, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigt.
Für 166 AUD bietet es angesichts der Ausstattung und der Lage ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
Am meisten ärgert mich jedoch, dass das Hotel kein Bargeld akzeptiert und für jede Kreditkartenzahlung eine Transaktionsgebühr von 1,5 % erhebt – eine völlig unfaire Klausel. Ich hatte ausreichend Bargeld dabei, konnte es aber nicht verwenden und musste die Gebühren somit selbst tragen.
Noch unverschämter ist die zusätzliche Gebühr von 20 AUD für Parkgebühren bei Kartenzahlung, was den Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr unangenehm machte. Obwohl die Ausstattung insgesamt lobenswert ist, sind die Preisgestaltung und der Service äußerst schlecht und unmenschlich.

AAnonymer BenutzerWir hatten hier im Allgemeinen einen guten Aufenthalt, aber wir fanden die Haushaltungspolitik sehr seltsam. Es gibt keine Haushaltung, es sei denn, Sie zahlen dafür (oder Aufenthalt für 8 Tage). Wir konnten unsere Handtücher persönlich am Vordertisch ändern, aber wir wurden gebeten, unsere eigene Müll rauszuholen und hatten nach einem langen Aufenthalt keine Möglichkeit, zu leeren. Allerdings war das Zimmer ausreichend und wir genossen sehr die Lage, die nicht besser gewesen wäre.
