The hotel is great for a layover as it is super close to the airport. They have a shuttle which was a great help for me. I really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner as I missed SA food. Most of the staff was really helpful (especially Lily from the kitchen) she went above and beyond to help me cause I was with a baby. She made sure I was comfortable, had my food while she was holding my baby. I really appreciate that, thank you 🙏 . I also observed her around other customers she kept the same energy. My room was cleaned daily which was nice. My suggestion is some stuff member must give the same service to everyone regardless of who they are and how they look.

The workers were so kind and friendly. I appreciate the care they gave to me as a customer. I would recommend to a solo traveler for sure.

My experience in the hotel was pleasant. It is situated in a very high risk area however, if you have business to do along the embassies or department offices nearby then this is a great place. Pleasant staff and the buffet was also good.

Das Hotel war so sauber, sicher und komfortabel. Das Personal ist erstaunlich. Ich dachte, es wäre nahe am Flughafen, aber es war nicht so nah, aber das war kein Problem, weil sie einen Shuttle bieten.

Das Hotel ist gut, saubere Hygiene, das ist eine schlechte Einstellung zum Rezeptionservice, die schwarze Schale ist das, aber der Preis ist etwas teurer als die Buchung unter der Linie, also wenn Sie selbst gehen und spielen, empfehlen Sie die Buchung unter der Linie.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a long day. I especially appreciated the peaceful garden area. It was beautifully maintained and provided a lovely space to unwind with a cup of coffee or just enjoy the greenery. Everything about my stay was smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a relaxing place with great service and plenty of space to breathe, I highly recommend this hotel. I’ll definitely be back!

It was our first time in joburg and it was lovely. The hotel was always clean. The food was great. Aside the breakfast which had a lot of variety, we also got to try some local dishes recommended by staff at the restaurant. The room was small but it was sufficient, as we were mostly busy sightseeing.

For the price the place is okay decent enough however the staff is really loud at night . Not the reception but the team doing maintenance at night they really inconsiderate . I wouldn’t book the Melrose ever again because of that . I’ve tried the one in Sandton Katherine street I really enjoyed it .

Bestes Hotel, das ich während meines Aufenthalts in Johannesburg geblieben habe. Sehr sauber und modern Zimmer mit fortgeschrittenen Einrichtungen. Ich habe absolut mein Zimmer geliebt und werde nicht zögern, mit ihnen wieder zu buchen.

Das Hotel war sehr schön. Perfekte Lage, da es im Zentrum und mitten in allem liegt. Der Service war spektakulär! Sie gehen auf die Bedürfnisse der Gäste ein. Es ist sehr sauber und insgesamt ein sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr empfehlenswert!
