Idww we al for an overnight stay with flights from airport. Free shuttle bus is great. The hotel has a nice outdoor space to relax. Good bar. The staff are all friendly. Rooms are good and bed very comfortable. I’d say again.

The room was very clean, spacious, and luxurious. The hotel lobby and facilities were fantastic, and I would definitely stay here again. Emails were answered promptly, and the service from all staff was very friendly and outstanding. The bed was super comfortable and spotless, which made for a great night’s sleep. You can even check in super early for about $20, which I thought was a fair deal — I checked in 6 hours early. Highly recommend this hotel!

Das erste Mal, dass ich hier bin, ist das Frühstück immer noch gut, aber das Zimmer ist sehr klein und die Landschaft außerhalb des Fensters im ersten Stock ist schlecht. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist immer noch zu verzeichnen. Uber kann als Ausverkauf bezeichnet werden.

We made use of the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. The drivers were helpful and friendly. This is a great value-added service. We were welcomed at reception by friendly staff. We were helped to our rooms. The rooms are modern, functional, and comfortable. We went to the 6th floor for dinner. The restaurant and bar there is called Level Seven. The staff there told us it was a privately owned restaurant and bar. We sat in the bar and ordered food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The only good thing about the food that night was that the fries were awesome and seasoned well. Breakfast the next morning in the main restaurant on the ground floor was exceptional—friendly staff and really good food. Overall, a great stay, let down unfortunately by the food at Level Seven.

Das Hotel ist gut, saubere Hygiene, das ist eine schlechte Einstellung zum Rezeptionservice, die schwarze Schale ist das, aber der Preis ist etwas teurer als die Buchung unter der Linie, also wenn Sie selbst gehen und spielen, empfehlen Sie die Buchung unter der Linie.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a long day. I especially appreciated the peaceful garden area. It was beautifully maintained and provided a lovely space to unwind with a cup of coffee or just enjoy the greenery. Everything about my stay was smooth and enjoyable. If you're looking for a relaxing place with great service and plenty of space to breathe, I highly recommend this hotel. I’ll definitely be back!

It was our first time in joburg and it was lovely. The hotel was always clean. The food was great. Aside the breakfast which had a lot of variety, we also got to try some local dishes recommended by staff at the restaurant. The room was small but it was sufficient, as we were mostly busy sightseeing.

For the price the place is okay decent enough however the staff is really loud at night . Not the reception but the team doing maintenance at night they really inconsiderate . I wouldn’t book the Melrose ever again because of that . I’ve tried the one in Sandton Katherine street I really enjoyed it .

Ich habe morgens gebucht und dann gab es nur noch Stornierungen. Wir mussten neu buchen. Zuerst habe ich die Daten verwechselt und musste stornieren. Also habe ich storniert und mich entschuldigt. Ich habe neu gebucht, aber alles wurde storniert. Bis jetzt habe ich nur eine Buchung zurückerstattet bekommen. Das Hotel hat sich geweigert, uns zu helfen, also mussten wir umbuchen und bezahlen, da es Mitternacht war.

The bed was comfortable enough, but I did find it a bit harder than I prefer. The hotel amenities were standard—there was a gym and a small pool, though I didn't have time to use either. The Wi-Fi worked fine, and I didn't encounter any issues with the air conditioning or heating during my stay. One thing that stood out was the location. It was pretty convenient for my needs, close to a few restaurants and shops, though not overly special. I was hoping for a bit more from the hotel's restaurant, as the menu was somewhat limited and the food was just okay. In short, it wasn’t a bad stay, but it didn’t blow me away either. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep without expecting anything extraordinary, this hotel will do the job.
