Overall, it was an amazing experience, aside from a few minor issues.
**Positive:**
1. The location was good, although it was a short walk from town. However, there is a tram service that runs every 10 minutes, and the cost was £12 per day for three people, which provided unlimited travel for the whole day.
2. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options to choose from.
3. The hotel environment was pleasant, featuring a nice reception and lobby area.
4. The room included a safe where you could store valuable items like your laptop and tablet for extra protection.
**Negatives:**
1. Our toilet bin was not emptied after cleaning, and they forgot to replace the extra tissue roll in the bathroom, which was inconvenient.
2. There were no slippers or facial tissues provided in the room.
3. The bar was very quiet, and we were so bored that we didn't visit again.
I stay at this hotel often and have no complaints at all.its convenient and right by tram stop.great value for the price you pay.plenty of hot water for bath or shower. Beds are reasonably comfortable and for an old hotel i think they do more than their best to give a good clean room and service.
The hotel is at very good location. Tram and bus stop just outside the hotel. Decent room. very very friendly staff. 10/10 for staff. The only thing I didn't like was the lift was not working.
Hotel direkt außerhalb der Bahnhof, aber immer noch modern, sauber, stinkt wirklich gut. Front Desk staff war groß, Zimmer mit großer Größe und komfortabel. Sehr schönes Bett, gemütliche, gute Einrichtungen, einschließlich einer Nespresso-Maschine im Zimmer. Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Großer Aufenthalt im Allgemeinen!
Im Barton Manor Hotel und Spa mit meiner Tochter....wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit....von der Ankunft zum Verlassen des Personals kann nicht genug für Sie tun...das Frühstück ist wirklich nett...wir haben nicht im Restaurant für Abendessen gebucht, aber ich wurde von anderen Gästen erzählt ...dass das Restaurantsgericht lecker war.
Wir werden sicherlich zurückgehen .
We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff.
When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard.
Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub.
Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.
Everything’s good except bed is a bit narrow and no air circulation system except opening windows which may be cold

LLunaBunnyThe location is great, but everything else is quite old and worn out. The service was quite bad, we did not have any towels or water bottles in our room. Upon asking, they said we are ‘supposed’ to get the towels from the receptions. And only the rooms with a fridge will have water bottles. Did not even offer to let us buy any bottles. As it was quite late when we realised we did not have any bottle of waters, luckily found a Co-op in 5 mins distance closing soon, we had to grab them from there.
The room had a partial sea view. But the bed was so noisy and squeaky even with the slightest movement. All the other furnitures were very old, no charging or plug points beside the bed.
If not for location, because the beach is quiet in front of the hotel, i wouldn’t have even considered it ever again.
One good thing about it was the swimming pool, it was very clean but the changing rooms could have been much better.
I have booked through Trip.com previously, so I know it has nothing to do with internet or 3rd party booking, it is just a very old hotel. And the pictures are quite deceiving.
SSharmayneEverything was fine, friendly staff, right opposite a tram stop, lovely view from the bedroom window and comfy bed. One issue I had was I booked room only and tried to pay for dinner at the hotel but for that whole week, they only catered to a certain amount of people which meant I had to go off premises to eat dinner. Other than that, no issues and would stay again.

PP40ULWThe hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations.
On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep.
Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds.
Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed.

Das Zimmer war angemessen und sauber. Groß, um Eisen und Eisenbrett zu haben. Sehr schöner Angriff!
Ich habe nicht gegessen, aber ich hatte genug Bitze, um in dem Zimmer zu trinken.
Fernseher im Zimmer und fühlte sich ganz zu Hause mit den entfernten Klangen der Seegurte, die mich daran erinnern, dass ich am Meer war.
