We stayed here for two nights to visit the castle and national trust gardens. The town is small so the hotel is within distance to the train station and to the castle. Room is fine although lighting is slightly dim. We requested an extra lamp that was promptly provided. Breakfast was typical English breakfast served in a very nice historical part of the hotel. The toiletries provided in the bathroom were very good quality and smells lovely. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich sauber und das Personal war sehr hilfreich. Das Frühstück war gut und wir konnten unseren Hund für einen kleinen zusätzlichen Gebühr nehmen. Wir werden zurück.

Absolutely wonderful. Id stayed at Durham Royal County before with my girlfriend. However she didn't come with ne this time due to reasons that she had. The staff at the hotel were lovely about it and made me feel better about tge situation and a lovely note and complementary drinks for me to come back to in my room. All I can say is thankyou and I'll look forward to staying with you again soon. Thanks Matthew

Great stay for my birthday! The Pin is fab with lots of activities to keep you busy. We upgraded the spa which was well worth the £60 each (the sunny weather also made this a great experience). The room was a fab size (deluxe double) and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and have booked again.

Was a romantic get away, found that the drinks are expensive inside the hotel. we never ate at the hotel, as there is a couple of nice pubs close by. the staff were friendly, THe place is a bit of a maze but cool. they do run daily tours but its best if you book up in advance as when we tried to do day of the tour no availability. it is run via a 3rd party not the hotel itself.

Amazing stay. The customer service was impeccable from the off, very clean, all the necessary amenities, and a super comfortable bed and pillow.

Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt, die Lage ist ideal und die Grundstücke waren schön und ruhig! Das Personal war sehr freundlich, willkommen und professionell! Der einzige Nebeneffekt war, dass unser Zimmer nur eine Plug-Socket hatte, die wir in diesen Tagen nicht genug verwenden konnten ....., auch nur für Grundbedürfnisse ..... sehr schlecht leider. Die Klimaanlage wäre begrüßt worden, daher würden wir dieses Hotel in den Sommermonaten aus diesem Grund allein vermieden. Ein anderes kleines, irritantes Bad hatte eine Glasschale über dem Tauch, die stark in Richtung Tauchkammer schüttelte, so dass wir sehr vorsichtig sein mussten, um sicherzustellen, dass die Dinge nicht weiter fallen. Unsere Frühstücksbuffets waren ausgezeichnet (außer den Omelettes), und das Servicepersonal war sehr willkommen ....a großartig Beginn jeden Tag!

Die Lage des Hotels im Servicebereich ist also kostenfrei, das Zimmer ist kompakt, aber sauber und komfortabel, die Einrichtungen sind komplett, kostengünstig, im Allgemeinen sehr zufrieden

Absolutely spotless and finished to a high standard. Decor is modern and appealing throughout. Staff are helpful. Lovely restaurant and fantastic coffee served there. The only slight issue I would say, is that you can hear guests in the next room very easily and this isn’t desirable for obvious reasons. We sadly ended up with very noisy guests in the room next to us the first night we stayed and this caused considerable disruption to our sleep pretty much all night. Saying this, we didn’t notify the staff though (so they may have been able to help) as there was no phone in the room. The next night was fine and completely silent so this would be dependent on who you have staying near you.
