Ich habe ein Doppelzimmer gebucht, wie es mir war und mein Sohn endete mit einem Doppelzimmer . Für das Frühstück bezahlt war es so lange , um das Essen auf den heißen Platten zu bekommen, die sich für Dinge wie Brot , Bacon , Soßen gefragt für Gewürze, wie niemand links gesagt hat nein und war noch in den Frühstückszeiten . Die Dusche der Frauen im Pool waren sauber und musste gereinigt werden .

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Thurnham Hall. The person who checked us in on the Sunday was very pleasant and welcoming. We walked the grounds and they were lovely and very well looked after.The Spa and pool were excellent. Thank you for providing such a lovely hotel for us to stay at and spend time visiting with our Lancashire relatives.

The Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Sehr bequeme Lage, für die Autobahn und in Lancaster für Mahlzeiten. Wir waren froh mit unserem Zimmer, aber das Sofabett war nicht wirklich geeignet für zwei. Nächstes Mal würden wir sicher sein, ein zweites Doppelbett Familienzimmer zu buchen. Großer Pool und schönes Frühstück

We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

Fab place lovely lodges outside them could do with little clean but suppose it's nature the inside clean an homey all's u need is provided aswel the balcony was amazing way lead onto lake it's self so my son could b up close to ducks without being in water there is watersports shop bar restaurant playarea in an out crazy golf walking around lake is nice and central to go out exploring Windermere 30min drive and had an amazing day there also little chippy 5 min drive on north road think was called was lovely food and ok priced to

Hotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

Wonderful hotel. Our room was a suite and well appointed and comfortable. Spund proofing seemed good, as we had a very peaceful night. Hotel facilities were great. Lovely pool and bar area. All.staff were fabulous and made us feel really looked after. We will be back.

Schönes sauberes Hotel. Sehr komfortable Betten. Frühstück war gut. Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es war ein guter Aufenthalt, aber ich würde nicht sagen, es wütend mich und das Personal fühlte, hätten mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Auch fehlenden Zimmerservice, Abendsnacks, Kühlschrank, TV-Kanäle, alternative Kissen usw.. Auch das Hotel sagte, sie haben nicht meine speziellen Anfragen erhalten Ich habe hinzugefügt, die Reisebuchung, die bedeutete, dass der Geburtstag, den wir feiern, wurde übersehen.
