WWillHastingsThe Grand Hotel is north of North Pier and is a huge hotel with many rooms facing the sea, and a spa, pool and gym. We stayed there for 4 nights and walked everywhere (including to South Pier and the Pleasure Beach), so the location was good for us. The hotel itself is nice and the rooms were spacious with an amazing view towards the Tower and North Pier.
The pool, sauna, steam room were great, and cost only £2 per person.
All staff we encountered were friendly.
We would stay here again.

GGastnutzerThe Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

PP40ULWThe hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations.
On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep.
Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds.
Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed.

GGastnutzerI have stayed here a few times and in general had a pleasant stay. I booked last minute for a Saturday night and I was very disappointed to find a party going on until 12.00. T he music was pretty loud and I had booked a double but was given a twin. I feel that when booking I should have been told there was a disco on and I could have booked elsewhere. On a positive note I appreciate the free parking.

GGastnutzerWe had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff.
When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard.
Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub.
Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

GGastnutzerEin sehr schönes Hotel, umgeben von Holzhütten und Villen. Es verfügt über zwei Zimmer, zwei Badezimmer, ein Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten. Das Wohnzimmer ist geräumig und hat ein Schlafsofa, das wir drei aber gar nicht benutzt haben. Es gibt reichlich Geschirr, alles sauber und ordentlich. Ich habe eine halbe Stunde lang in einem Topf gekocht. Zum Frühstück gab es Hirsebrei und Instantnudeln, die ich mitgebracht hatte! Perfekt für Familienausflüge!

GGastnutzerHotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

GGastnutzerFür eine Nacht reserviert und aufgrund der Umstände endete die Eincheckung auf 3 aufeinanderfolgenden Nächte. Als Lady-Solo-Reisefahrer fühlte ich mich hier so sicher und ganz einfach. Leider hatte ich keine Schwimmkleide mit mir, um ihre Einrichtungen zu nutzen. Parkplatz ist schön und nahe dem Hotel. Das ganze Hotel ohne Spott und Betten ist ein Komfort, in dem ich während der Reise schon schlafen habe. Frühstück, Ladungen der Wahl & obwohl der Buffetstil ist alles sehr frisch. Personal sehr freundlich und nichts zu viel Problem. Super die Bar serviert frisches Essen bis spät, wie ich später auf alle Nächte eincheckte. Wenn ich im Bereich bin, würde ich gerne hier wieder bleiben und glücklich anderen Reisenden empfehlen 😊

Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet.
Es war ein guter Aufenthalt, aber ich würde nicht sagen, es wütend mich und das Personal fühlte, hätten mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Auch fehlenden Zimmerservice, Abendsnacks, Kühlschrank, TV-Kanäle, alternative Kissen usw..
Auch das Hotel sagte, sie haben nicht meine speziellen Anfragen erhalten Ich habe hinzugefügt, die Reisebuchung, die bedeutete, dass der Geburtstag, den wir feiern, wurde übersehen.
