We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

Absolutely amazing. Would recommend to everyone to stay here. The service is amazing from the very second you walk into the doors. Will be coming back in the near future.

We checked in slightly early, reception staff were very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. We had Lodge 248, the location was perfect , right beside the water and close enough to the Watersport centre . The lodge was immaculate , the beds were huge and comfortable , the showers were super powerful, the terrace was good to sit outside and watch all the action on the Lake. We only stayed for one night as we were travelling home , however we will definitely return again for a few nights to relax and chill out. We were a family of 5, non complaints at all.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Thurnham Hall. The person who checked us in on the Sunday was very pleasant and welcoming. We walked the grounds and they were lovely and very well looked after.The Spa and pool were excellent. Thank you for providing such a lovely hotel for us to stay at and spend time visiting with our Lancashire relatives.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Norbreck ist eines meiner glücklichen Orte 😁 Ich habe jeden Aufenthalt genossen, den ich bislang hatte ...I werde weiter ich auf Norbreck bleiben, da es mit meiner psychischen Gesundheit hilft, nachdem ich beide Eltern kürzlich entlassen und ich einen Abbruch hatte.. vollständig Herzbrüchig 💔 Danke für Ihre Dienstleistungen .. 10/10 Gesamt 😁💙💯

Wir blieben übernachten - spät einchecken und auschecken. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und untergebracht. Wir haben 2 Kinder, ein 4 Jahre alt und ein 5 Monate alt. Wir kamen recht spät an und so war der letzte Tisch im Restaurant zum Abendessen sowie der letzte zum Frühstück. Allerdings stellte das Personal sicher, dass wir alles, was wir brauchen, und versuchte, ihr Bestes zu helfen. Eindrucksvoller Service und einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Lancaster sicher wieder in dieses Hotel kommen.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut, aber das Fernsehen in unserem Zimmer war zu klein und wir wurden auch nicht früher gesagt, dass die Zimmer am Samstag nicht gereinigt werden. Abgesehen davon war das Hotel wirklich schön und wir genossen auch das Frühstück.

The location is great, but everything else is quite old and worn out. The service was quite bad, we did not have any towels or water bottles in our room. Upon asking, they said we are ‘supposed’ to get the towels from the receptions. And only the rooms with a fridge will have water bottles. Did not even offer to let us buy any bottles. As it was quite late when we realised we did not have any bottle of waters, luckily found a Co-op in 5 mins distance closing soon, we had to grab them from there. The room had a partial sea view. But the bed was so noisy and squeaky even with the slightest movement. All the other furnitures were very old, no charging or plug points beside the bed. If not for location, because the beach is quiet in front of the hotel, i wouldn’t have even considered it ever again. One good thing about it was the swimming pool, it was very clean but the changing rooms could have been much better. I have booked through Trip.com previously, so I know it has nothing to do with internet or 3rd party booking, it is just a very old hotel. And the pictures are quite deceiving.

First time using Holiday Inn Good things are Spacious room with great standard Comfortable and clean bed & pillows , and towels ( a big and a small for one person each ) Has kettle and tea/ coffee with treats ( biscuits) Has a hair dryer and an iron with an iron board inside the wardrobe. It has a round table and a sofa chair on top of a worktop table and chair . It has a small gym , a swimming pool and jacuzzi . Can include breakfast and dinner ( has restaurant) and can order to the room ( room service) I only brought bed and breakfast and breakfast is great choices and plenty. Even for gluten free options! Bad things Hotel lift has broken and put me on 3rd floor but I can request the staff to give me on the ground floor ( said last room / no other choice) twin room . It is better to write the request that in the event of lifts are not working to give ground floor or lower floor. Kettle has no sieve ( may be broken before me. ) The sofa chair has a stain before me . Overall very good service and great room and has good facilities.
