I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations in several areas. Firstly, the soundproofing in the room was very poor. I could clearly hear the TV from the next room late night, which made it difficult to sleep. It’s surprising for a hotel of this standard not to address basic noise insulation. Another point of disappointment was the pillow options. Unlike the hotel next door, this one didn’t offer any hard or buckwheat pillows. When I requested a firmer pillow, housekeeping sent a memory foam pillow — but without a pillowcase. I had to request one separately and put it on myself, which felt like something the staff should have handled. Next disappointing moment was with the concierge. During the first two nights, the staff simply asked for my car number and handled the carpark access efficiently. But later in the stay, when I provided my car plate, the response was just, “You scan QR code will do,” with no explanation or courtesy. It came off as rude, especially compared to the initial experience. On the positive side, the front office, breakfast café, and car park staff were pleasant and helpful. They were professional and made those parts of the stay smoother. Overall, there are areas for improvement, especially regarding service consistency, soundproofing, and pillow amenities. Schönes Hotel und die Apartments sind riesig. Der Pool ist schön mit herrlicher Aussicht auf den Hafen. Einige schöne Restaurants in der Nähe mit glücklichen Stunden Angebote. Sehr nahe Legoland auch

15 mins drive away from town centre, it’s a quiet area to stay with a breathtaking scenery from the window view of your room up on the 21st floor. Great if you have a car to zip around. There is a Joe’s grocery, a local mini market that stocks a astoundingly comprehensive inventory for its unassuming size and first impressions. A few flats and apartments are also nearby. Room is clean and huge with a view of the kampung surroundings where roosters crow below but it didn’t affect me at all like it did to some reviewers. Kitchen area complete with cups, plates, microwave oven, induction cooker, fridge, jug, coffee and tea facilities. Living area has 4 seater sofa and TV well distanced from kitchen. Room is separated from living area. It’s a huge unit with a curtained window to the walkway just like a condo unit. Toilet is clean and huge with strong water pressure and heater. Toiletries are provided in the room although there is no hair dryer. Covered car park is provided in a 2 storey car park levels secured by a security guard at ground level. Wonderful place. Breakfast provided at $20 per pax.

We have been here so many times, and always have great impression except this. The hotel is getting older, more busy, so much of the cleanliness is neglected. So much stain on the sofa & 2 parts of the carpet which we called to informed immediately after check-in, the aircon was down too, wonder if they service or clean, oil needed to be added to slowly work. Didnt allow to change room due to no vacancy for similar type we paid for, asked us to downgrade to another cheaper room which we werent keen, said will help us next day but didnt do anything. Obtained blanket to cover stain, carpet stains were still there as promised to deliver mats but didnt.

Absolutely amazing stay at The Best Homestay! The room was superb—exactly like the photos, if not better. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and the amenities were incredibly professional, making the whole experience feel truly premium. The location is perfect, with plenty of great food options just a short walk away. It’s an ideal place for families wanting to relax and enjoy their time in Johor Bahru. The facilities are complete and very family-friendly. Definitely coming back again! Highly recommended for anyone traveling with family to JB.

Overall it is a good stay. However, the breakfast area is very packed and the air condition doesn’t seem to be working. We went back for a dinner buffet as there’s not much choices around, the Italian restaurant is full. The Buffett dinner have limited choices and theres a lot of flies…. The staff in the kid club is very impolite. We are just trying to understand how my 1yo baby can be company and my friend have a 7yo kid with us. In the end we just decided not to stay inside with her attitude. Other than that, it was all fine. With the price that we are paying and the service provided, it is a little below the expectation, especially on the food and the kid club bad experiences.

Love the remote location away from the regular tourist hotels located in the city centre. Property was clean and well maintained. Staff was impeccable, and it was definitely a comfortable stay. Many eateries and massage places nearby, including Aeon Mall. Midvalley is just a 15-minute drive away.

A Wonderful Stay, Minor Bummer My wife and I recently celebrated my birthday at the Hyatt Place, and it was a special experience. The hotel surprised us with a welcome cake, which was a lovely touch. The room was immaculately clean and spacious, making our stay comfortable. The location is fantastic - being directly below a huge mall is super convenient. It's perfectly situated for shopping, dining, and exploring the area. The only downside was that the pool was closed when we arrived, which was a bit disappointing. We're not sure what the reason was, but hopefully, it's resolved now. Overall, despite the pool being closed, our stay was wonderful, and the hotel's amenities and location made it a great choice for our birthday celebration.

We were early and completed the check in process and were told to come back later to collect our room keys but when we did, the reception couldn't find our keys, we had to ask different staff to help but they were busy as there were many guests and they forgot bout us. The hotel room was decent but aircon wasn't working well for our room, it was warm and the water heater doesn't work in the morning for our room too and the housekeeper forget to provide us with the small towel on our second night Other than that generally it is still a good place to stay as it is connected to mid valley. Very convenient. The security staff at the counter for luggage deposit were very friendly and gave us shopping bag for shopping.
