Thank you St Giles for a wonderful stay! It was our anniversary week and everything was perfect from efficient check in to the hospitality of the staff and amazing facilities Really loved the ambience of the Executive Lounge, it was so peaceful and ideal.We were pleasantly surprise when we came back to our room with a delicious cake waiting. Special mention to the security guards thats always opening doors for us. They are always smiling and greeting us!

Stay here many times this year. But the safety deposit box encountered error 9 which required the duty manager to reset it. The corner where drinks & complimentary tea/coffee is place has ants. Maybe housekeeping can containise the tea/coffee sachets to prevent ants. Had to clean up. Other than that all good. The buffet breakfast was great too.

Staff were polite and gave good services. Breakfast have variety of choices and nice. Location is accessible, 15mins walk to Midvalley Mall. However, the check-in could be done better. When we arrive around 2.45pm and complete the registration, the hotel inform us that the room wasn’t ready. We waited until 3.45pm then we got the room key although the check in time should be 3p.m.

Das Hotelpersonal war äußerst zuvorkommend, und die angehende Rezeptionistin wurde beim Check-in hilfreich unterstützt. Das Frühstücksbuffet bot eine große Auswahl. Zimmer und Bad waren geräumig; es gab jedoch Bereiche im Bad, die besser genutzt werden hätten können. Außerdem war der Duschkopf defekt und leckte.

We were warmly greeted with their signature chocolate chip cookies, a small but thoughtful gesture that immediately set the tone for a memorable stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail stood out throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, and elegantly designed, offering a beautiful view of the Johor Bahru skyline. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I especially appreciated the modern amenities provided, from the well-equipped workspace to the luxurious bathroom. Dining at the hotel was another highlight. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of local and international selections, freshly prepared and full of flavor. The service staff were attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The facilities were top-notch – the swimming pool overlooking the city was a fantastic spot to relax, while the gym was well-maintained and equipped with everything needed for a good workout. What truly made the stay exceptional was the warm hospitality of the entire team. Every interaction – whether at the restaurant, housekeeping, or reception – reflected genuine care for guests’ comfort and satisfaction. In short, DoubleTree Hilton Johor Bahru is the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and world-class service. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Johor Bahru. I look forward to returning soon.

Stayed here for my son's birthday celebration. Arrived at 11am, registered and inform them regarding the birthdatly and was given one complimentary pass where we can redeem a slice of cake and small gift from the shop. We went straight to the Waterpark and hotel Whatsapp us when the room is ready. Aircond and music was on when we entered the room, and got a little surprise from the housekeeping, a nice birthday wish drawing on the mirror. Parking is free once we register. Breakfast is nice with a variety of selections. Buggy is available to get to the private beach at Westin. Overall it is a recommended stay with good service.

Das war nicht mein erstes Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Ich habe wiederholt mit meinem Mann, das erste war mit meiner Tochter. Die Mitarbeiter am Check-in-Counter, Herr Syamsul (Ich hoffe, ich bekomme seinen Namen richtig) war freundlich. Die Frau Manager (Ich kann mich ihren Namen nicht erinnern), nahm uns am 2. Frühstück an und fragte, ob wir mit dem Essen zufrieden waren und ob unser Zimmer sauber war. Einer der Hausbetreiber (entschuldigt, dass ich seinen Namen nicht erhalten habe), schrieb uns sogar einen Hinweis, der uns einen guten Aufenthalt im Hotel wünschte (Mein Hubby hat ihn angerufen, weil ich eine zusätzliche Gewebebox beantragt ) . Das Hinweis selbst machte mich glücklich. Ich werde hier für meine künftige Reise sicher bleiben.

Zimmer groß und sauber. Aber das Zimmer wurde ausgezogen wegen der Ankleide und Tränen von unüberlegten Gästen Nicht nahe dem Strand, sondern nahe Makan und Supermarkt. Der nächste Mall nicht viel, beste Spaziergang entlang der Geschäfte Also essen, bis Sie kein Problem brechen. Aber wenn Sie Kleidung kaufen, Souvenir etc nicht viel Wahl, wenn Sie trendig Typ Check-in bei 330, aber es wurde gesagt, kein Zimmer verfügbar und kann nicht die gleiche Etage. Dann erläuterte ich seine 330 und musste versuchen, ihr Bestes wie ich noch meine Gebete tun. Dann geschieht Magie, Zimmer kann sich erscheinen und die gleiche Etage ein wenig mehr. Die Prüfung im Prozess war langsam, wahrscheinlich ein neuer Junge und nicht gut geleitet. Ein 4-Sterne-Hotel bietet Standard-Ausstattung. Pool und Fitness-Studio für die Menschen. Für diejenigen, die den Strand gehen wollen, können sie dort passen und dort laufen oder 10 Minuten Fahrt für die unpassen.

Hotel staff are friendly, the room is big, soft mattress and a few types of pillows are provided. Great breakfast, kitchen staff are friendly too. It’s just opposite City Square shopping mall which is a plus. The carpark is not free as it shares with the residential building. But it is bright and felt safe. The only negative side is the rain shower, difficult to adjust the hot and cold water. The toilet flush is not strong too. Need to press both half and full flush button together to get a stronger flush.

I had a wonderful stay at Lotus Desaru Resort & Spa. The breakfast spread was excellent with plenty of variety, and the sea was clean and refreshing. The rooms were neat and comfortable, which made the stay pleasant. That said, the resort hasn’t seen any major renovations in the past 13 years, and some of the same complaints still remain. The bird area also looks a little unkept — perhaps a bigger, better-maintained space would make it more enjoyable for guests. Another small suggestion is to have a larger TV in the living area since there’s only one television provided. On a positive note, having a Starbucks franchise run by Lotus Resort on-site is a great addition and makes the stay even more convenient. Overall, Lotus Desaru remains a good choice for families and groups, offering value and a relaxing environment. With nearby competition like Westin and Hard Rock, I do hope the resort invests in further upgrades to keep up with today’s standards.
