I stayed at the Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton with my family for an extended weekend trip, and overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing experience. The hotel is located just outside Bristol city centre, so it’s perfect if you’re driving or want somewhere quiet after a busy day. It’s close to the M32 and A4174, which makes access pretty easy, though it’s not ideal if you’re relying on buses or taxis every day. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were genuinely friendly with warm smiles, quick service, and happy to help with local directions. The lobby and common areas look recently refurbished, clean, and welcoming. You can tell that the hotel is well-maintained. The room was spacious, tidy, and had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, crisp sheets, and good soundproofing for a peaceful night’s sleep. The bathroom was spotless with decent toiletries provided. The only slight downside was that the air-conditioning took a while to cool the room, but once it kicked in, it worked fine. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough for streaming and work calls. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There were plenty of hot and cold options, including fresh pastries, eggs, sausages, cereals, and fruits. Staff were attentive in topping things up and clearing tables quickly. I also tried dinner at the on-site restaurant one evening; the food was good, though a bit pricey for the portion sizes. There’s also a bar area that stays open late, which is nice for a quiet drink in the evening. The leisure facilities are a bonus with a decent-sized indoor pool, a gym, and a sauna, all clean and well-kept. Families seemed to enjoy the space, and it never felt overcrowded. There’s also plenty of outdoor green space around the hotel, which gives it a more relaxed, countryside feel even though you’re still close to the city. Parking is available on site, though it’s not free but it’s highly subsidised something to be aware of before arriving. The signs could be clearer about payment, but once you know, it’s straightforward. In summary, Holiday Inn Bristol-Filton is a solid, comfortable, and family-friendly hotel that offers good value for money if you don’t mind staying a bit outside the city centre. Ideal for business travellers, road-trippers, or families who want peace and quiet with easy access to Bristol. Would definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Very bad experience, my handbag was stolen! I and my family had a very bad experience during our stay at your hotel from 9 to 11 August. On 11 August morning, we had the buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. I placed my handbag behind the back of my daughter while I went to get food. When I returned to the table, my daughter informed me that a strange man had come and sat next to her; she said the table was occupied and that man then left. I found this situation highly unusual, especially given that many seats and tables were available. At the same time, I discovered that my handbag, which had been behind my daughter, had disappeared! I noticed that my handbag was stolen by a man. My husband informed the hotel reception immediately and asked whether anyone had seen a stranger sit next to our daughter. We then walked around the hotel and searched for the handbag, but it could not be found. The hotel manager reviewed the CCTV footage and identified two suspects who were not hotel guests; however, the manager noted that there was no CCTV coverage at the restaurant entrance or at the back door, so they could not confirm how the suspects entered or whether they were the individuals who sat next to our daughter. I also questioned why, during buffet breakfast, all attendees should be registered and checked by room number before entering the restaurant, and how a stranger was able to enter and sit next to my daughter without being identified! During our holiday trip, we encountered serious security issues at the hotel, which we found unacceptable: a stranger was able to enter the restaurant without any notification, and there was no CCTV coverage at the entrance or the backdoor. As a result of these failures, we lost our handbag along with our wallets, cash, driving license, car keys, and home keys. We now need to replace all of these items urgently, and we are particularly concerned about the safety of our car and home because the driving license and keys were taken. Our daughter and son are understandably very worried and are afraid to remain in the hotel, given the perceived lack of adequate security. Therefore, we have had to cancel the rest of our itinerary and request that the hotel address these lapses immediately to prevent similar incidents.

Die Bettwäsche war fleckig und das Badezimmer war absolut widerlich, genauer gesagt, die Dusche war überall schmutzig. Ich habe dem Village Hotel, wo ich zwei Zimmer gebucht hatte, eine E-Mail geschickt, da beide Duschen den gleichen Zustand hatten. Die Kaffeemaschine funktionierte nicht, ich bat um Hilfe und wartete auf jemanden, aber niemand kam. Das bestellte Frühstück war enttäuschend, kein frisches Obst, keine frischen Fruchtsäfte, nur widerlich schmeckender Saft aus dem Karton. Da ich kein Schweinefleisch esse, war meine Auswahl begrenzt. Außerdem haben Kinder das Brot ohne Aufsicht angefasst, also war Toast auch keine Option. Ich habe £12.50 für Rösti, Ei und Bohnen bezahlt.
