Our stay at Landison Longjing Resort Hangzhou was so memorable and absolutely magnificent that highlights remain sharp, vivid, and immensely uplifting. As tea lovers, it would have been lovely enough to be back in deciduous forests with bursting red maples and bright yellow Ginko trees accentuating autumn colors surrounding the beautifully manicured Longjing (Dragon Well) tea plantations that rest quietly within the hills of the peaceful landscape so very close to the resort—next to and just across the street, in fact! However, our trip’s joys skyrocketed with our stay at the Landison. The staff was totally fantastic! Exceptional service in every way. Working with a phone translator Tracy, Brandy, Wen Yi (I hope his name is spelled correctly!), and Chris provided patient, attentive, and thorough care, concern, and heartwarming attention as they fully considered and answered our many daily questions on where to go, what to do, how to get there and back. (We were thrilled to use the excellent public transportation in and around Hangzhou. The hotel is just meters from the bus stop of two main lines. These buses provided easy connections to other main lines linking us to much of the rest of the city) Staff also guided us where to buy excellent tea, which turned out to be right there at the hotel, as well as from other lovely teashops nearby! Landison’s breakfast menu, included in our booking, remained the same throughout our stay and never disappointed. Every day we enjoyed a large selection of beautiful, delicious food that included fresh fruit, vegetables, egg dishes of differing styles, rice, dim sum, pastries, and our go-to each day: a piping hot bowl of noodles, prepared to order by the chef standing behind the varied selection of noodles and fixings! There was so much fresh, delicious, interesting, vegetarian cuisine we can’t account for the entire extensive buffet. The dining staff was totally incredible with their refined, careful, complete attention. Dining Room Manager Xu became our dear, memorable friend, offering us sweet, caring personal attention and comfort throughout our visit. We couldn’t help feeling disappointed when we didn’t see her the day before we were to leave. When we returned to the hotel for the evening and saw her through a dining room window, we popped into the area to say hello and a magical connection manifested that only world travel can provide, when the distance between two vastly different cultures disappears under the glow of human kindness, warmth, and connection. She provided such outstanding delight for us that our hearts hurt when we had to say goodbye to her. When she translated on her mobile phone, “looking forward to seeing you again,” we smiled broadly and added a very hopeful nod in agreement. Extra lovely perks included nightly delivery of a delicate, nourishing white mushroom soup to keep us warm and help us sleep, a specialty of the establishment. It was tasty and nurturing every day! The housekeeping staff was amiable and friendly, mutually acknowledging and appreciating the human relationship!  In addition, the parking area staff offered cheerful, welcoming, and happy engagement with us throughout our stay. Our extraordinary stay at the Landison is the kind of experience that highlights the vast benefits of world travel where the barriers of worldly concerns and tensions can fade away or even disappear into the significant and transformative mix and engagement with a time and place different from where we come from or know habitually. Where one realizes that, although time and place may differ considerably and provide many positive catalysts for meaningful change, the human heart and mind are inextricably linked together by way of mutual desires for happiness, well-being, safety, expression, and connection, however that may unfold in its immeasurable arrangements. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Family Escape at Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel, Anji County (11–13 July 2026) We recently stayed at Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel in Anji County from 11–13 July 2026, and overall it was a wonderful family experience. This hotel is much more than just a place to stay — it is a complete family holiday destination designed around children, imagination and creating unforgettable memories. 🌟 Exceptional Service from Shi Jun — A True Credit to the Hotel Before arriving, I honestly considered cancelling our reservation due to communication difficulties. However, one person completely changed our experience — Shi Jun from the front desk team. Shi Jun demonstrated truly exceptional hospitality. Through WeChat, he patiently communicated with us, answered every question and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He helped us when we were close to giving up on the reservation, arranged room changes, helped find a suitable place for me to work, assisted when we needed to visit the hospital, and continued to care about every detail of our family’s needs. His professionalism, kindness and genuine concern for guests represent the very best of hospitality. Shi Jun is a young man who is a true credit to Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel. For his service alone, I would give 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 🌟 Beautiful, Spacious and Immaculately Clean Rooms The room was one of the biggest highlights of our stay. It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and extremely clean. The family design created a warm and welcoming environment, with excellent bedding, a well-maintained bathroom and plenty of space for parents and children. For families travelling with young children, cleanliness and comfort are essential — and Fantasy Jialebi Theme Hotel truly delivered. 🍳 Excellent and Abundant Breakfast The breakfast was another highlight. There was a fantastic selection of food suitable for both adults and children. The variety was impressive and provided a great start to each day. 👨👩👧 A Wonderful Family-Friendly Environment The greatest strength of this hotel is its understanding of families. Everything is designed with children in mind, creating a place where children can feel excited, happy and full of imagination. Our child especially enjoyed the family atmosphere, and it was wonderful to see so many families creating happy memories together. ❤️ Great Potential with Some Areas for Improvement The hotel has an excellent foundation: beautiful rooms, a fantastic concept, wonderful family facilities and a great location. With some improvements, it has the potential to become one of the best family resorts in Anji. 🌍 International Guest Communication As an international guest, communication was sometimes challenging. Unfortunately, none of the staff members we met could speak English, and some were reluctant to use translation tools. Basic English support or greater willingness to use translation applications would greatly improve the experience for overseas visitors. 🧑🍳 Breakfast Service Professionalism Although breakfast was excellent, we noticed the chef using his phone in the breakfast area during service time. For a family resort with such great potential, maintaining professionalism in all public areas is important. 🌙 Night Reception Service At approximately 5:00 am, we needed assistance because our room key required reactivation. Unfortunately, nobody was immediately available at reception. A 24-hour guest service presence would improve the overall experience. 🚗 Arrival Experience The entrance creates the first impression. We noticed the security staff member appeared distracted using his phone and smoking rather than actively welcoming guests. A more professional arrival service would better reflect the quality of this beautiful resort. 🌧️ Typhoon Weather — More Indoor Activities Needed During our stay, a typhoon affected the weather and some outdoor facilities were closed. Die Dekoration des Zimmers sieht ziemlich altmodisch aus. Das Bessere ist, dass es einen speziellen Schminktisch gibt, der sehr praktisch ist. Ctrip sah, dass wir ein Kind mitbrachten, und schenkte uns ein besonderes Willkommensgeschenk, eine sehr süße Hasenpuppe , ein Obstteller und ein Star-Papa, der Hotelmanager hat sogar eine Karte handschriftlich geschrieben, es fühlt sich sofort sehr warm an und ich werde darüber nachdenken, das nächste Mal in diesem Hotel zu übernachten

Das Zimmer mit Seeblick hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Jeden Morgen durften wir die atemberaubende Berg- und Seenlandschaft genießen – die Aussicht war einfach malerisch. Das InterContinental zeichnet sich durch seine erstklassige Lage aus. **Umgebung:** Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, die Aussicht erstklassig; man fühlt sich hier wirklich inmitten der Natur. **Service:** Alle Mitarbeiter, denen wir im Hotel begegneten, waren stets höflich und äußerst zuvorkommend, was einen hervorragenden Eindruck hinterlassen hat. **Ausstattung:** Die Ausstattung war sehr umfassend und durchdacht, was unseren Aufenthalt überaus angenehm und komfortabel gemacht hat. **Hygiene:** Der Hygienestatus war sehr zufriedenstellend. Das Reinigungspersonal war äußerst fleißig, reagierte schnell auf Anfragen und bot einen ausgezeichneten Service. Vielen Dank dafür. **Besonderer Dank an den Reisefotografen:** Ein besonderer Dank geht an den Reisefotografen. Obwohl es zum vereinbarten Termin stark regnete und wir die geplanten externen Sehenswürdigkeiten nicht besuchen konnten, war der Fotograf technisch sehr versiert und zeigte ein großes Engagement. Die entstandenen Aufnahmen sind äußerst zufriedenstellend. Herzlichen Dank!

Das Hotel ist schön aber im Anfang der chinesischen Rezeption war nicht sehr empfänglich, aber ich wurde von Igor angeführt, der Manager, der alles leicht gemacht, ging aus seinem Weg mit dem intuitiven Service, War ein Glück wird sicherlich wieder aufgrund von ihm bleiben.

房间干净，风景好，但服务、体验感、性价比一般。 This place is designed for the 'gram, not the 3000 RMB/night experience. The room is beautiful, you've seen that already, but here's my genuine experience that I hope helps set your expectations. Overall, bare minimum service. There is no proper front desk reception, and I had to remind them to set up the butler group chat the day before arrival because there were no instructions. Upon arrival, the main door was locked. Someone eventually came and brought my luggage up to the room, and that was it. No friendly chats, no personal touch, no estate introduction or tour, no other instructions, just a few pre-set WeChat images. The butler is quite responsive on chat but often provides incomplete answers. Service at breakfast was cold. No one welcomes you when you walk in, and there was no proper introduction to what was available. There was only one staff member at breakfast. He eventually came over and asked which main dish I'd like. There was no mention of Western vs. Chinese options until I overheard someone else's order. Most of the time he was standing at the kitchen entrance using his phone loudly, which made it hard to get his attention. The loud phone noise made the experience quite unpleasant, as I was hoping for a relaxing, quiet breakfast. Food options are very limited for a solo traveller. I ordered ******* for every lunch and dinner. I was quite hungry in the late afternoon and looking forward to the savory snacks in the afternoon tea set. I ordered them to my room and was told the ”chef had a family emergency” and could not prepare the fries and popcorn chicken, though I later saw someone else having the complete set in the lobby. :/ I saw another review a few months back giving feedback that there was no floor mat near the hot tub area. Even though they always respond to negative reviews the same way, saying they will improve, the problem was unfortunately not fixed. You only have one floor mat at the shower area and have to remember to bring it across the room to the hot tub area, or you'll be dripping wet on a slippery floor when you exit the tub. Soundproofing is bad. There is a road right next to the room, and you can hear occasional cars passing by. During my stay, farmers were harvesting bamboo, and you could hear the loud truck engines (which sounded like excavators) and them talking loudly. Mad respect for farmers, just highlighting the downside of the location that you dont see in the nice photos. The whole experience was strange because it felt like other guests were there for photoshoot over an actual hotel stay experience. You could see beautifully dressed ladies posing at every corner of the estate. Nothing wrong with that, just not something I'm used to. The experience is not without positives. The room I stayed in 【云渌】 had an insanely beautiful view, which was what I came for. It directly faces the bamboo forest and mountains. On good days, you'll probably be able to see a nice sunset. The room was clean and had great, thoughtful amenities, including Le Labo toiletries, a small pack of laundry detergent, eye masks, earplugs, and a Dyson hairdryer, to name a few. I also loved the huge private balcony it came with. I was really looking forward to this stay, but coming from another 民宿 I absolutely enjoyed, the service here was a stark contrast. This place has so much potential if they could brush up on the professionalism of the service crew to match the aesthetic and pricetag. I sincerely wish them well and hope the service can be improved.

Our party of 3 adults spent 3 nights at the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort in early 12/2024.  We came to Fuchun to see the scenaries that had inspired the famous 富春山居圖 painting.  We booked 2 basic rooms (Linyin Garden View), but received free upgrades (Guizhou Lake View) at check in.  I must admit our initial feelings as we arrived was one of creeping doubt, because the Fuyang city streets we had driven through (we drove in from the Hangzhou Xihu area) were very industrial, just giant factories one after another and the immediate area outside the property was just a bunch of small suburban farm homes and shops.  Furthermore, as our car pulled up to the front lobby entrance, no one greeted us.  Not a soul was in sight.  Our driver had to poke his head inside and announce guests are here and service is needed.  From there on, however, things only got better and better.  So, yes, this was a quiet property.  There wasn’t a lot of staff standing about.  But, there was enough personnel to provide all the basic services expected.  And I found they were very friendly, quick to respond, and efficient.  During our 3.5 days here, we explored and enjoyed this beautiful hotel inside and out.  The hotel itself (the main building) was simply grand.  Its design and decor was a perfect balance of East Meets West, modernized traditional, understated elegance.  The layout was a bit of a labyrinth.  There were wings, corridors, and stairs you can go down to find restaurants, spa/gym/pool, conference rooms, sitting nooks, a small boat dock, and even an impressive collection of embroidery art on display.  Our rooms were large and airy, spotless, the ceiling was high, and the windows opened onto the lake.  The bathroom was spacious with a double sink and lots of counter space.  Beds and pillows were very comfortable, definitely in line with 5 star international standards.  Outside, there was a man-made lake with 2 groups of swans (or were they white geese?).  They crisscrossed the lake during the day and slept below our windows at night.  There was also a little children’s playground (with a pair of ducks) and what looked like a small amphitheater.  Several short paths allowed us to walk the sizable grounds.  Early one morning, we followed one across a little brook to the edge of the tea terrace.  Another morning, we strolled down a road flanked by bamboo that led to the beautiful villas that stood apart from the main hotel.  Everywhere, the atmosphere was tranquil and the views spectacular.  We ate most of our meals at the hotel since we were unfamiliar with the area and didn’t really want to go out looking (this was the end of a 2 week trip).  We tried both of the restaurants on-site (the Chinese and the Western/Fusion) and thought they were fine overall, since food/ingredients were fresh and of good quality.  Taste and craft were okay, not great but acceptable.  In truth, we were probably not too demanding at this point, as we had already gorged out during our previous stay in the HZ/Xihu area.  In summary, our family really liked the Fuchun Mountain Golf Resort.  We were very comfortable during our short stay.  We really appreciated the quiet calmness of the place as well as the warm service provided by the entire staff.  We would love to return.  It was an easy car ride from the HZ city area, and it was easy to hire cars to nearby and more distant attractions.  Lastly, for those interested in the 富春山居圖, there is a replica of the painting (both parts and to scale) displayed downstairs in the spa :)

Es war Donnerstag, als wir ankamen. Es regnete stark. Nach dem Aussteigen aus dem Hochgeschwindigkeitszug wollten wir den Hotelshuttle nehmen. Wir haben das Hotel dreimal angerufen, bevor endlich jemand geantwortet hat. Endlich kamen wir in die Lobby, aber die vorherigen Gäste hatten noch nicht ausgecheckt, sodass das Zimmer noch nicht gereinigt worden war. An der Rezeption hieß es, wir müssten eine Stunde warten und würden anrufen, wenn das Zimmer fertig sei. Aber wir warteten mehr als anderthalb Stunden und bekamen immer noch keinen Anruf. Wir fragten nach und erfuhren, dass das Zimmer überprüft worden war. Ich schlage vor, von Kimpton aus derselben Gruppe zu lernen und die Gäste im Voraus anzurufen, um Hallo zu sagen und WeChat hinzuzufügen … Abgesehen von der unangenehmen Erfahrung am Anfang ist die Erfahrung nach dem Einchecken immer noch sehr zufriedenstellend.😊 Die Brüder und Schwestern in den chinesischen und westlichen Restaurants sind sehr fleißig und freundlich.🧍♂️🧍♀️ Der Zimmermädchen Wang Manping ist sehr großzügig beim Auffüllen von Teebeuteln und Getränken.🍵🥤 Der Onkel an der Lobbytür ist sehr enthusiastisch, trägt aktiv Gepäck und hilft beim Abfertigen des Shuttlebusses.🧳🚗 Der Fotografenbruder von Xinrui Travel macht Fotos und produziert Bilder. Die verfeinerten Bilder wirken sehr natürlich. Der Paketpreis für den Fotokauf ist kostengünstig📷 Das zentrale Zimmer mit Seeblick ist etwas kleiner, aber der Balkon ist recht geräumig. 😜 Im Mai ist das Wetter weder heiß noch kalt. Es ist wirklich bequem, auf dem Balkon zu sitzen, die Brise zu genießen, die schöne Landschaft zu bewundern und zu essen. 😌 Vom Infinity-Pool, der Aussichtsterrasse, dem Fitnessstudio sowie den chinesischen und westlichen Restaurants des Hotels aus hat man einen Blick auf die Berge und den See. An sonnigen Tagen gibt es auch wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge🌄 Voller Urlaubsfeeling🏖️

A stay at Banyan Tree Hangzhou feels less like a city hotel and more like disappearing into a private water village. The resort sits inside the famed Xixi Wetlands nature reserve, surrounded by canals, bamboo, gardens, bridges, and misty greenery—yet it’s still relatively close to central Hangzhou and West Lake. The Architecture draws from traditional Jiangnan water-town style: whitewashed walls, dark wood, tiled roofs, carved screens, courtyards, and stone pathways. It’s especially beautiful in early morning fog or after rain, when the wetlands feel cinematic. Rooms are unusually spacious. Even entry-level categories are large suites, while villas add outdoor soaking areas, private courtyards, or pools depending on category. Interiors mix classic Chinese design touches with luxury comforts—heated floors, deep bathtubs, generous bathrooms, and plush bedding. Excellent !

We had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding — the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, which set the tone for the rest of the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was luxurious, and the overall ambiance made it easy to relax and unwind. We especially appreciated the small touches, like the complimentary teas and neatly arranged toiletries. The food was another highlight of our stay — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We still think about the pastries! What stood out to me most was the décor throughout the hotel. Tasteful, elegant, and inviting, with a great attention to detail. Whether in the lobby, dining area, or hallways, everything was beautifully arranged and created a truly welcoming atmosphere. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and family!
