Hotels mit Parkplatz in West Coast, Neuseeland

We were greeted with warm hospitality by the owner Angela when we arrived to check into Franz Josef Oasis. The executive king suite room was clean, cosy and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the sofas with warm blankets place for our comfort near the fireplace. The location of this place is also good as it 5 minutes drive to the town where we had a delicious dinner at Blue Ice Restaurant and Bar which was recommended to us by Angela. The service is excellent and I will definitely recommend this place to those who are travelling to Franz Josef !

Im Allgemeinen sauber. Sehr schöner großer Raum mit Kühlschrank und TV, obwohl nur die Hälfte der Kanäle funktioniert. Keine Mikrowelle, die eingeschlossen werden sollte, da das Restaurant scheint unbegrenzt geschlossen zu sein. Es gibt mehrere Restaurants, die gut sind in der Nähe. Sehr ziemlich guter Standort so insgesamt ein guter Aufenthalt. Nur Weg zum Eis ist mit dem Hubschrauber, der teuer ist.

Glad to be able to pay a small amount and be upgraded to a room with facilities that we need. Love the heated bed. Spacious room. Loved their house dog who came to bid us farewell just before we leave.  If you go to the Heartland Hotel to dine, you get 10% discount by showing your room keys.

Das Hotel ist groß in der Nähe von Fußgängern zum Bahnhof für Tranzalpine, Restaurant im Hotel bietet atemberaubendes Essen und Trinken, das Zimmer ist leicht grundlegende ohne Klimaanlage, aber es hat einen Fan und einen Heizungsschrank

Für junge Leute oder Backpacker mit geringem Budget, allerdings war der Preis nicht günstig. Die Ausstattung hat schon ziemlich gelitten. Leider ziemlich unfreundlich bzw. sehr überlastet an der Rezeption. Vorher online eingecheckt, trotzdem dauerte es noch ewig bis alles geklärt war. Leider kein zweites Mal.

Das Hotel war sauber, komfortabel und bietet einen großen Wert für Geld. Das Zimmer war gut gepflegt, gemütlich und perfekt für einen entspannten Aufenthalt nach einem Tag der Erforschung. ( es ist sehr nahe an den nächsten Blickpunkt) Der Preis war sehr erschwinglich im Vergleich zu anderen Optionen in der Region, so dass es eine ausgezeichnete Wahl für Budget-bewusste Reisende. Insgesamt, ein angenehmen und hartnäckiger Aufenthalt mit allem, was wir brauchten.

The apartment we stayed in was quite new and felt pleasant. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. The Kitchen was new and well equiped. It’s in a small township near Fox Glacier. There was a view point, which was about a few minutes driver from the motel, where the view of the snow peaks and glacier was spectacular. It is also not far from Franz Joseph glacier.

Rimu Lodge was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Sue Allen, made us feel incredibly welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and offered a breathtaking view, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the fresh milk for our tea and coffee to the complimentary drinks and chocolates, all adding to the sense of warmth and hospitality. Breakfast was exceptional, with a delicious selection of cooked options to choose from. The entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. I highly recommend staying for at least two nights to fully appreciate the charm and comfort of this remarkable lodge.

It is alright, but not great - certainly it is worn around the edges. It is the first place I stayed in during my 3 week holiday with no fridge... So much for the by now warm riggers of beer I bought at breweries en route. The service was never with any kind of smile. The food in their restaurant was adequate and the beer was, to my taste, bland and unexciting. Staying here is not a disaster, but nor is it memorable. For the amount they must make (the room was not inexpensive) they could and should do better. But I guess it is a captive market in season, and ”just about good enough” is all they need to bother with.

The male receptionist who greeted us was not particularly friendly; and only when we got to our first floor room did we read about a luggage service. The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.
