I love staying here. Highly recommended for everyone seeking the hotel in Matsumoto. The hotel provides more things than I expected eg, welcome drink (including beer & highballs) public bath & tab, massage chair.

The hotel is quite far from the city but it comes with super great view. The room is so spacious despite being a bit old. The dinner and breakfast is also great. Highly recommend for those who would like to have leisure time.

Convenient location right across the station! (It is not sheltered but luckily it did not rain heavily). Room is clean and big, there is bathtub and a table to sit around. The check in counter has amenities to take to your room.

Aufgrund eines Taifuns in Japan waren alle Straßen und Eisenbahnen gesperrt, sodass wir unseren Aufenthalt um einen Tag verlängerten. Weil ich mich bei meinem Aufenthalt am Vortag so wohl gefühlt habe, blieb ich weiterhin in diesem Hotel. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht genug empfehlen.

My recent stay at Hotel JAL City Nagano was a pleasant experience. The hotel is remarkably clean, which was a top priority for me. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hotel's location is another major highlight. It's just a short walk from Nagano Station, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by train. The surrounding area is also bustling with shops, restaurants, and cafes, providing plenty of options for dining and entertainment. Several popular attractions, such as Zenkoji Temple and the Tokugawa Garden, are also within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city's cultural and historical sites. While the hotel offers basic amenities, it's the cleanliness and convenient location that truly make it stand out. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable hotel in Nagano with easy access to major attractions, Hotel JAL City Nagano is a great choice.

It’s a very big hotel. We stayed in the premium wing with balcony. The room is newly renovated but there is a strange rusty smell inside the room, and also in some part of the lobby area maybe due to the carpet, which is quite disgusting. We rent a car on the second day, parking is not free, it’s 1000 yen per night for hotel guest. We do not had breakfast or dine in the hotel. So not much comment on their services. However we never feel welcoming as no staffs will greet you except when the time you arrive with their shuttle bus getting off to check in. There’s no greetings when we check out and leave. Just like we were transparent. Maybe we are foreigners? And maybe there are too many guests though, there was no queue by the time to check out as we left at 10:00am. Just wanna to leave asap. The onsen is always crowded. However CP value is high. What you expect from a large resort? It’s nothing comparable to the high end hotel. But for the price we paid it’s fair enough. Location is super convenient. A plus. But we may not return again.

We recently stayed at this newly opened hotel, which, although located quite a distance from the city, exceeded our expectations in every way. Being part of a well-known hotel chain, we were confident in the level of quality, and we’re happy to say it lived up to its reputation. One of the highlights of our stay was the onsen. It was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and provided the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly with a welcome drink, which was a thoughtful and refreshing start to our stay. For families with children, this hotel goes above and beyond. There were fun and engaging activities available specifically for kids, with small prizes offered to keep them excited and entertained. This thoughtful touch really helped our children stay engaged throughout the stay, and gave us some time to relax as well. Even though the hotel is not located in the Hakuba area itself, it’s just a manageable drive away. We chose to stay here because the price was comparable to hotels in Hakuba, but with added amenities and a quieter environment. It turned out to be a great decision — we got the best of both worlds: a comfortable stay and access to skiing. We booked two rooms and requested adjoining ones with a connecting door. The hotel was able to accommodate this perfectly, which made it so much easier for our family to stay together while still having enough space. The breakfast, while somewhat limited in variety, featured fresh and high-quality local ingredients. The flavors were delicate yet satisfying, and it was clear the kitchen took pride in highlighting local produce. Service was another strong point of our stay. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. From check-in to check-out, their warm hospitality stood out. The hotel also offers ample parking, which is always a plus when traveling by car. Near the onsen area, there were vending machines for drinks and ice, as well as coin-operated washing machines. There were only three washers, which could have been an issue, but the staff managed it thoughtfully — when previous guests didn’t return promptly to pick up their laundry, the staff carefully placed their clean clothes in bags and stored them at the front desk to free up machines for others. That kind of proactive service really impressed us. Overall, this hotel provided a peaceful and convenient base for our winter trip. With clean facilities, thoughtful amenities, family-friendly features, and excellent service, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking to relax in comfort while being just a short drive away from Hakuba’s ski resorts.

Sehr sauber, sieht aus wie ein relativ neues Gebäude oder neu renoviertes Toyoko Inn. Gutes Frühstück mit schöner Aussicht auf die Alpen vom oberen Stock. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof, das nicht schlecht ist. Leider wussten wir nicht, dass wir einen Parkplatz vorbehalten müssen, aber der Parkteilnehmer war schön darüber und ließ uns zu einem anderen öffentlichen Ort. Ich habe Zeichen gelesen, dass Parkplätze zuerst kommen zuerst die Basis dienen werden im Mai. Freut mit unserem Aufenthalt

Es liegt ganz in der Nähe des JR-Bahnhofs Nagano. In der Nähe des Hotels gibt es viele Restaurants, was praktisch ist. Das Zimmer ist recht komfortabel und hygienisch. Das Hotel verfügt über Thermalbäder, was gut ist. Das Hotel bietet Ramen, Yakult und Eis für Snacks bis spät in die Nacht. Insgesamt zufrieden und empfehlenswert.
