It was a great stay at this ryokan! The hotel is able to arrange a car to fetch you from the JR station. You can call them using a dedicated phone at the station which is used to contact the different ryokans. The car arrived in 10mins or so. The ride to the ryokan was also less than 10mins. The hotel also fetched us to the station on the last day of our stay. The ryokan itself is homely and cozy. We were greeted by an english speaking staff who introduced us to the amenities of the ryokan. There was also a nice welcome tea and matcha chocolate. Our bags were brought to our room as well during this time. The room is spacious and cozy. The hotel prepared 2 welcome biscuits in the room which was a nice personal touch. The room has a nice living room and a great view of Lake Biwa. Recommend to catch the sunrise over the lake! There are 2 normal beds as well as futon beds (need to set up yourself). Both are comfortable. The hotel also prepared pretty yukata for both female and male guests which you can wear during the stay. There are 4 different designs for ladies, and one design for the guys. You can request for different size if the one in the room doesn’t fit you. There is also a full length mirror and a mini dressing area at the side of the living room. It was fun dressing up in the yukata! The toilet, basin, shower and hot tub areas are all separate. The toilet is a little small, but the basin and mirror area is very spacious. The shower area is quite small as well and the shower head is rather low so you need to hold the shower head if you wish to wash up while standing. There is a small stool given for you to sit down though. The hot tub area is semi-outdoor and you can see Lake Biwa. But it is quite small (only good for one person). It was too cold so we didn’t use the hot tub. Instead, we booked the private onsen for 50mins. The private onsen has a private toilet and dressing area which is equipped with hairdryer, body lotion etc. There is a water dispenser as well if you need to hydrate yourself. The onsen area has a washing area, and the hot tub area is spacious for 2 person. There are privacy screens around the onsen area but there is a small gap to let in cold air for ventilation. Wish there is a good view from the private onsen but it was still enjoyable! Dinner and breakfast was Kaiseki style, and the meals were one of the highlights for my husband and I. We really enjoyed the courses which are clean tasting yet wholesome, fresh and flavourful. It was such a sumptuous treat! The ryokan also has a souvenir shop if you wish to buy anything back. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed the stay here and we agreed this was one of the main highlights of our 12 days trip in Japan. Highly recommend!

Gosh, wo soll ich sogar anfangen? Dieser Aufenthalt war ganz perfekt. Die Aussicht war erstaunlich, das private Bad war erstaunlich, der Service war erstaunlich, das Essen war erstaunlich. Es gibt sogar einen Shuttlebus vom nahe gelegenen Bahnhof. Ich liebte es. Meine Freunde liebten es. Das Personal lief sogar über die ganze Lobby-Lounge vom Check-in-Zähler, und machte eine vollständige Tauchung in den Souvenir-Shop-Zähler für uns. Meist memorable Eiscream Kauferfahrung.

Ich habe es gefunden, als ich nach einem preisgünstigen Hotel gesucht habe, um den Biwa-See zu besichtigen. Obwohl es ein Fünf-Sterne-Hotel ist, war der Preis sehr angemessen. Ich war überrascht, wie teuer das Abendessen war, fand aber, dass es sein Geld recht gut wert war. Das Begrüßungsgetränk und die Snacks wie Nüsse und Gummibärchen waren köstlich. Das Badezimmer war auch geräumig und luxuriös. Das Frühstück beginnt um 7 Uhr morgens, also dachte ich, es wäre leer, wenn ich als erstes am Morgen hingehe, aber das Gegenteil war der Fall. Die meisten Gäste waren älter, also standen wir früh auf. Aber auch das Frühstück war lecker. Es ist ein bisschen weit von Osaka und Kyoto entfernt, aber ich bin froh, dass ich gekommen bin.

The hotel itself is really cozy and service is good. During my stay, there was not too many people and relaxing. The quality of onsen itself is really good that make my skin so smooth for days. The dinner and breakfast food are fresh, except the dessert cake is really dry which doesn’t taste like any other Japan standard cake.

Room is very spacious, comes with 2 sets of facial acre products both for man and woman There's even a 6 CD player with preloaded CDs inside ranging from Jazz to sentimental songs for your relaxation Food are delicious and nicely decorated Every day it comes with some free local snacks like financiers and biscuits One incident that didn't quite went well is early morning after breakfast As we are rushing to head out before housekeeping and there's no more water in the room, we return to the dinning hall and try to ask the staff to help to fill up some water in their provided water bottle. one lady took over the bottle and head to the kitchen to fill up, but we can hear she's complaining to her colleagues about it. Shortly, while handing over the bottle, she signal us to leave. We did so but once just stepped out, she simply slams the dinning hall shut! I was surprised by her reaction. It was quite rude of her to do that. If it's against the regulation, they can rightly say so and communicate upfront than doing this repulsive reaction Overall, a nice stay amid a slight mark on the service rendered

Ok. Zunächst lassen Sie Ihre Erwartungen zu Hause erwarten Hotel-Level-Service. Sobald Sie das getan haben, wenn Sie einen billigen, aber sauberen Ort zum Aufenthalt wollen, ist das. Es gibt eine sehr moderne Kaffee-Website, die günstige Frühstücke serviert (siehe Fotos), aber der Kaffee läuft um 6 Uhr. Es gibt einen Komfortladen 10 Minuten zu Fuß, so empfehle ich Ihnen, Snacks und Getränke auf dem Weg von JR Ishiyama Station zu kaufen. Für das Abendessen gibt es ein Familienrestaurant - gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und gutes Essen - ca. 6 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Senkan liegt auf einer kleinen Insel durch eine historische Brücke. Die Aussichten auf den Fluss, der in den Hauptsee Biwa fließt, sind entspannend, viele Vogelwild und viele Bäume (der Senkan ist auch eine Wassersportanlage). und die Sonnenauf- und Sonnenuntergang sind schön. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Es kostet mich ¥5,500 für eine Nacht und ich werde dort wieder bleiben, wenn ich die Gelegenheit habe.

Very great time here, i give it the maximum rate! The people are awesome or particularly kind, the worry about everything for you, shuttle bus to station or from station to hotel, all amenities. The food was absolutely delicious, even tho sometimes it wasn’t at our taste you can see that the products are fresh, carefully selected and very tasty. It had a playing 8ball pool, and a ping-pong table! Very near Biwa Lake. Outstanding view from 11th Floor onsen. I recommend and wish to come back on our next trip to japan.

The tallest building around the area so you cannot miss it. It is a huge hotel with a convention centre right beside it, thus there were quite a few tour groups at the hotel as well. It is also right beside a park with a nice running/walking pavement along Biwako. A supermarket is also located 5-10mins walk away. Hotel has its own convenient store at the lobby (not 24/7 though) and a couple of restaurants within as well. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was a little disappointed the hotel does not have microwave ovens for guests use though. Parking was outdoor and parking is free if we sign up for their membership (free) through their app. Room is huge and view was great with our high floor room offering a great view of Biwako especially in the morning with the sunrise. The toilet and bathroom are separated thus making it more convenient for us. We enjoyed our stay here.

Nach einer besetzten Kyoto liebe ich die friedliche und ruhige Umgebung dieses schönen Onsen Hotel-ryokan und charmante Burgstadt. Alles über das Hotel spricht von Entspannung und Wohlbefinden. Es ist nur ein 7-8min Spaziergang vom Hikone-Bahnhof, aber es gibt ein Hotelshuttle, das um 9, 10 und 11 Uhr verlässt, wenn Sie eine Absturz brauchen. Die Pick-up könnte wahrscheinlich auch arrangiert werden. Das Hotel bietet eine schöne Außenterrasse mit Schlossblick, ein Spa mit Massage, eine Bibliothekssalon mit kostenlosen Getränken bis 10pm, einen Fußreflexwinkel und eine kompakte Ecke mit Seidebad (alle mit Schlossblick) und heißen Steinbänken. Ich hatte den ganzen Eifer für mich am Abend, so war es sehr entspannend. Das Personal ist auch nett und wunderschön, machte einen Versuch, alle Dienstleistungen und Einrichtungen in Englisch zu erklären. Das Frühstücksbuffet war auch einer der besten, die ich in meinen Reisen nach Japan gesehen habe. Wenn Sie das Schloss besuchen, ist die Einfahrt direkt außerhalb des Hotels. Die Hauptstraße des Schlosses ist ca. 5-10 min entfernt, aber Sie werden durch ein berühmtes japanisches Konfektionswerk, Taneya und Club Harie passieren. Ihre Erinnerungen sind eine, die sogar die japanische Ehrlichkeit. Ich möchte eines Tages wieder mit meinem Partner hierher kommen. Danke für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

Nice hotel with lake Biwa as room view. Staff are professional and easy check in. Busy during Saturday and Sunday for mainly family guests with kids. For those wants some serenity should avoid those days. Public Bath and swimming pool are indoor which are good but not attractive. Swimming pool needs to pay extra. The convenience store is self services store and opened for 24 hours which provide convenience to guest.
