Zum zweiten Mal in Chengdu und dieses Hotel war das bequemste. Die Zimmer sind groß und der Empfangsservice war super gut. Vor dem Check-in hat der Hotelmanager mich kontaktiert, um das Zimmer und meine Bedürfnisse zu klären. Wir haben zwei Kinder und bekamen sogar Frühstück. Im dritten Stock gibt es ein Restaurant. Ich habe dem Empfang meine Situation erklärt, da ich kein privates Zimmer reservieren konnte, und sie haben proaktiv das Restaurant im dritten Stock kontaktiert, um einen Tisch zu reservieren – super! Das Mingren Jinhui im dritten Stock war unglaublich lecker. Das Mingren Hotel wird definitiv meine erste Wahl sein, wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Chengdu komme.

We stayed in Meishan for a week for a sporting event. The hotel has clearly seen better days—especially compared to many newer properties in the area (aging lifts, worn carpets, etc.). We chose it mainly for three reasons: breakfast, gym/pool, and laundry facilities. 1. Breakfast The daily buffet was solid and met expectations. It featured a typical Chinese spread: hot stir-fried dishes, vegetables, meats, buns, dumplings, fried rice/noodles, porridge, plus a live station for dan dan noodles, eggs, and simple meats like sausage or ham. There was also a rotating Chinese dessert (e.g., red date with longan, green bean soup), along with some Western options like salad greens, yogurt, bread, cake, and fresh fruit. Since we stayed a full week, we appreciated the small variations. That said, we were surprised by the limited fruit selection—mainly oranges and watermelon—especially given the abundance of fresh fruit available locally. Breakfast vouchers are issued daily and must be presented before dining. 2. Gym & Pool This was the biggest disappointment. Both the gym and pool were completely closed, and the entire floor was gutted with no visible renovation activity. It looks like these facilities have been—and will be—out of service for quite some time. This was a major letdown, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. 3. Laundry There is only one washer and one dryer for the entire building. We were concerned about availability, but only had to wait once. The 15-minute wash cycle helps with turnover. However, the dryer takes a long time and unfortunately shrunk all my cotton clothing. I’d recommend partially drying cotton items and then air-drying them in your room. Package Perks We booked through Trip.com, which included a small daily package: a plate with two oranges and some snacks, complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby, and a free transfer to the high-speed rail station (must be booked at the front desk one day in advance). There were also canned sodas included, which we didn’t use. Room & Noise We were initially assigned a room facing the plaza, which was very noisy. After requesting a change, we were first told the hotel was sold out—but after some persistence, a park-facing room was “found.” This room was significantly better: quiet, bright, and pleasant, with birdsong in the morning. We were told these were actually an upgrade, and that road-facing rooms are even worse due to constant traffic noise. 4. Smart Room Features (“Xiao Du”) We did enjoy the smart room system—“Xiao Du,” which works similarly to Alexa. It can control the curtains, TV, room temperature, and lighting, which is a nice modern touch. However, it was also a bit frustrating at times—for example, it would automatically turn off the lights in the bathroom sink area. The lighting there is already quite dim and not ideal for doing makeup. It would be helpful if the hotel could improve lighting around the mirror (brighter bulbs would make a big difference), or even better, install a mirror by the writing desk near the window where there is natural light. Smoking Smoking is allowed in the hotel, and we did notice it in the lobby, elevators, and corridors. Thankfully, our room itself was fine. Housekeeping turns off the AC and opens windows when cleaning, which seems to help ventilate lingering smoke. Location & Surroundings The hotel is in a convenient area. A nearby park is lovely, with traditional structures and inscriptions related to the Su family. Within a short walk is a lively commercial plaza with restaurants, bubble tea shops, salons (I tried a newly opened nail salon), and more. Getting around via Didi is easy. Overall For the price, the hotel offers decent value. However, the closed fitness facilities were a major downside. If we return, we’d likely try a newer hotel—but this one works if you prioritize cost and location over amenities.

Das Hotel ist perfekt für einen Kurztrip nach Chengdu und die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal im Hotel, da der Service ausgezeichnet ist (und englischsprachig!!), die Zimmer sehr sauber sind und es auch eine super Lage hat. Wir haben auch zum zweiten Mal ein Upgrade in eine Suite bekommen. Wir können das Hotel sehr weiterempfehlen und würden beim nächsten Mal wiederkommen.

This friendly and unique hotel had an outstanding set western breakfast with shrimp, egg, toast and vegetables and delicious fresh orange juice. The swimming pool was refreshing for some early morning laps, and the room was spotless, bed comfortable, and really great to have a bidet! The staff went out of their way to help me get a DiDi, provide a milk and waffle nightly snack, and all were warm and welcoming!!!

Here’s a revised version of the review with that detail smoothly added: ⸻ Xingye Snow Mountain Manor – Comfortable Stay with Hot Springs, but Snow-Dependent Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is located about a 30–40 minute drive from Xiling Snow Mountain. We chose this hotel mainly for a skiing trip, with the added bonus of having hot spring facilities on-site. We stayed from 28–30 December 2025. Unfortunately, while there was a small amount of snow at the top of the mountain, there wasn’t enough snow for skiing, which is worth keeping in mind as snow conditions are very weather-dependent. The hotel itself has good facilities, including hot springs, sauna, and a swimming pool. The hot spring experience felt private and relaxing, as there are multiple smaller tubs designed for individuals or family groups, rather than one large communal pool. There is also a dedicated changing area with showers, plenty of towels, and hair dryers, which is well-organised and convenient after soaking. The surrounding area is quite deserted, with only a few old shops across the road selling BBQ skewers and basic convenience store snacks. The police station is immediately next door, which adds a sense of security. Dining options nearby are very limited, so the hotel restaurant is the most decent and reliable place to eat. We particularly enjoyed their non-spicy chicken and mushroom hotpot, priced at 368 yuan, which was generous enough for a family of 3–4 people. The breakfast was also yummy and a highlight of our stay. One nice extra was the complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. You receive 3 photos for free, and if you choose to purchase all the digital photos taken, it costs around 400 yuan for approximately 43 photos. Transportation was one downside. We didn’t enjoy using Didi in this area. On the way to Xiling Snow Mountain, the Didi fare was 40 yuan, but the driver asked for an additional 30 yuan to cover his return trip. For the return journey, the driver didn’t accept the fixed price, used the meter instead, and requested an extra 20 yuan for parking fees at the mountain. For reference, the cable car prices at Xiling Snow Mountain are 320 yuan per person per day to the top, or 250 yuan per person per day to the halfway point. If you stay at hotels near the cable car, you only pay for the ride once. Since Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is farther away, you have to pay the same cable car rate every day, which adds up. Overall, Xingye Snow Mountain Manor is a comfortable hotel with good hot spring facilities and decent food, but it’s best suited for travellers who value relaxation over convenience. If skiing is your main goal, staying closer to the cable car may be more cost-effective and practical.

Die Dame an der Rezeption war super freundlich und hilfsbereit, hat schnell auf Nachrichten geantwortet und uns sogar Zigaretten besorgt – das war wirklich rücksichtsvoll! Die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich, und man kann von dort aus den Sonnenaufgang über den Bergen sehen. Wenn wir das nächste Mal zum Siguniangshan kommen, werden wir definitiv wieder hier übernachten.

Wir entschieden uns für das Terrassenzimmer im Yunyunji, das ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bot. Erstens ist die Landschaft großartig. Es ist ein Zimmer mit halbem Bergblick, dessen Rückseite an den Bergkamm grenzt, wodurch Himmel und Berglandschaft zu einer Einheit verschmelzen, was absolut wunderschön ist. Zweitens gehört auch das Thermalbad auf der Terrasse zu den Besonderheiten des Zimmers. Drittens gibt es in den Ecken jeder Etage spezielle Freizeitbereiche, wo man sich unterhalten, Schach spielen oder lesen kann, was sehr aufmerksam ist. Viertens wird das Frühstück in Buffetform angeboten. Obwohl es nicht viele Arten von Speisen gibt, gibt es immer noch eine Auswahl an Kaffee, Milch, Obst und Desserts. (Foto vergessen) Die frisch gemachten Nudeln und Wan Tans haben sehr gut geschmeckt.

Dieses Hotel ist fantastisch, es wird definitiv meine beste Wahl sein, wenn ich Bipenggou wieder besuchen. Das Hotel umgeben & Zimmer ist sehr schön. Zimmer & Badezimmer sind geräumig, modern und schön dekoriert, es bietet einen super komfortablen & entspannenden Aufenthalt. Ein Tauchen in ihrem Innenpool hat definitiv die Gesamterfahrung verbessert. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Hotel sogar Peovide Transfer Service zum & vom Eingang des Bipenggou Park.

Das Hotel ist etwa 1 km vom Hejiang-Pavillon entfernt. Zu Taikoo Li, Kuanzhai Alley, dem Wissenschaftsmuseum und dem Kunstmuseum sind es nur zehn Minuten. Essen und Einkaufen sind sehr praktisch. Es ist wirklich eine erstklassige Lage im Stadtzentrum. Das Zimmer liegt in einem höheren Stockwerk und bietet einen Panoramablick auf Chengdu. Besonders der Butlerservice ist aufmerksam und detailliert, Probleme werden effizient und geduldig gelöst, daher haben wir am nächsten Tag sofort um einen weiteren Tag verlängert! Wenn man mit der Familie unterwegs ist, sollte man unbedingt ein zuverlässiges Hotel wählen. Wenn man sich nicht gut ausruht und das Kind krank wird, beeinträchtigt das die gesamte Reise, daher ist die Wahl des Hotels sehr wichtig!

Das Hotel bietet einen Ritz-Service, der stets auf höchstem Niveau ist. Vom Empfang über den Check-in und Zimmerservice bis hin zum Lounge-Service war alles herzlich und effizient. Der Concierge im Erdgeschoss sah, dass ich meine Essenslieferung nicht finden konnte, und wies mich proaktiv auf den Standort der Lieferfächer hin. Die Lieferung von Gegenständen auf das Zimmer erfolgte immer sehr schnell, innerhalb weniger Minuten. Erwähnenswert ist auch das ausgezeichnete Frühstück. Das Frühstück im Ganztagsrestaurant bietet eine riesige Auswahl, besonders gut schmeckten mir der gebratene Lachs und die kleinen kalten Nudeln. Am Wochenende schien die Qualität jedoch etwas besser zu sein als unter der Woche. Das Lounge-Frühstück kann à la carte bestellt werden; das Spiegelei am zweiten Morgen kam mit einer riesigen Menge Lachs, wahrscheinlich das Spiegelei mit dem meisten Lachs, das ich je in einem Hotel hatte. Die Lounge bietet zum Mittag- und Abendessen zwei frisch zubereitete warme Gerichte und vier warme Speisen, aber ich würde vorschlagen, den Geschmack der warmen Speisen zu optimieren, da sie etwas fade waren. Die Ausstattung ist allerdings etwas veraltet; in unserem Zimmer kam das warme Wasser im Waschbecken sehr langsam, und der Abflussstopfen im linken Waschbecken war kaputt. Ansonsten gab es keine Probleme. Alle Spiegel im Badezimmer haben eine Heizfunktion, sodass sie nicht beschlagen, was eine nette, durchdachte Kleinigkeit ist.
