the hotel is very nice, located 3 minutes' walk from the train directly to Shinjuku. The staff is kind. The breakfast has many options, the onsen is clean and was not crowded in the evening. The only issue is that our room was so small we could not move around.

4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties. Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.

Wir hatten dieses Zimmer extra für Billie Eilishs Konzert gebucht, und ehrlich gesagt, war sein einziger Vorteil die Lage. Beim Betreten des Zimmers flackerte eine Lampe, eine andere war komplett ausgefallen. Nachdem wir aber alle Lichter eingeschaltet hatten, schien die Helligkeit insgesamt akzeptabel, und da wir es eilig hatten, zum Konzert zu kommen, verzichteten wir auf eine Reparatur. Nach dem Konzert gingen wir zurück ins Zimmer, zogen uns aus und duschten – und waren völlig überfordert. Das Wasser war kochend heiß und ließ sich nicht abkühlen. Wir mussten uns anziehen und den Service rufen. Ein junger Angestellter kam und versuchte hektisch, das Problem zu beheben, stellte aber fest, dass der Wasserhahn kaputt und nicht zu reparieren war. Nach Rücksprache mit seinen Vorgesetzten schlug er vor, wir sollten im Nebenraum duschen und dann in diesem Zimmer weiterschlafen. Was für ein Unsinn! Sollte der Nebenraum eine Gemeinschaftsdusche sein? Das war uns zu umständlich, also lehnten wir ab. Nach einer weiteren Rücksprache bot man uns schließlich ein frisch renoviertes Zimmer an. Wir hatten im 9. Stock gebucht, wurden aber in den 14. verlegt. Das Zimmer war zwar besser, aber es war fast 23 Uhr, und wir hatten bereits fast eine Stunde damit verbracht, unser verstreutes Gepäck zu sortieren, bevor wir es nach oben bringen konnten. Wir boten als Entschädigung das Frühstück für den nächsten Tag an. Da der Kellner sich nicht entscheiden konnte, holte er eine resolute Vorgesetzte hinzu. Von dem Moment an, als sie hereinkam, bis zum Schluss entschuldigte sie sich nicht und wiederholte immer wieder dieselben zwei Sätze: Entweder wir gehen zurück in die Dusche nebenan und schlafen, oder wir bekommen ein besseres Zimmer im 14. Stock. Nach langem Hin und Her wurde es zu spät, also gaben wir widerwillig nach und gingen zurück in den 9. Stock, um unser Gepäck zu packen und in den 14. Stock umzuziehen. Der Kellner hatte sogar angeboten, einen Gepäckwagen bereitzustellen. Nachdem wir jedoch fertig gepackt hatten, fanden wir nur einen Gepäckwagen vor der Tür vor; von Personal war keine Spur. Seufz… das war wirklich eine hautnahe Erfahrung mit japanischem Service!

Nicht weit vom Dongwu Spring Day Department entfernt, es gibt einen Supermarkt in der Nähe, es ist sehr bequem, in der Nähe zu essen, es gibt Vogelaristokraten - Sally - Song House, das Hotel ist neu!

Booked this place for a night, and was pleasantly surprise with the facilities and the hospitality given to us from the moment we checked in till when we left. I love how even just a stay at this place, really made me feel relaxed and somewhat detox from its onsen bath to the breakfast they provided us. We were also given a choice to select 'pillows' each night we were to stay here; and extra amenities for onsen soak as well. On the night of our stay, we were also offered the 'welcome bar'; where we could mix & choose the selections of the alcohol they had set out (but only for a cup). However, the only downside was that there wasn't much to offer when we went there as i think the previous guests had poured most of the alcohol; so when we reached there were only empty bottles and 2 choices left to pick from. It'll be nice if the staff were able to top them up and allow all guests to have an equal choice of selection next time. Nevertheless, I really look forward to staying here again the next time i visit japan.

來到了秩父，想要享受温泉，於是入住了木テ兒美やま 從酒店到秩父鐵道秩父站或者西武秩父站都有一小時一班的送迎bus 房間為桔梗，很寬敞 非常可惜的是，露天澡堂不是温泉水，衹有大澡堂是用的温泉水 晚餐感覺有些無趣，埼玉縣不臨海，所以海鮮不太好吃，甚至還有魔芋刺身在充數，也許可以在肉類上加強!! 我很喜歡聊天，但在這裏沒有很體會到工作人員的服務，總感覺對別的旅客比對我更加熱情。比如對某兩位客人就幫他們提着包介紹到房間….希望是我的錯覺。 武蔵國の埼玉で1日を過ごしました! 秩父に來て温泉を楽しみたくて、ホテル美やまに宿泊しました。 泊まったお部屋は「桔梗」というお部屋で、とても広々としていました。 ただ、少し殘念だったのは、露天風呂が温泉ではなく普通のお湯だったことです。温泉水を使っているのは大浴場だけでした。 タ食は少し物足りない感じがしました。埼玉県は海なし県だからか、海鮮の味はイマイチでしたし、こんにやくの刺身が出てきてちょっと量稼ぎっばい印象も……。その分、肉料理をもっと充実させてほしいなと思いました!スタッフさんのサ一ビスについてですが、普段私はおしやベりが好きなのに、ここではあまり交流を感じられなかったのが少し殘念でした。また、他のお客さんヘの対応の方が丁寧に見えたのも気になりました。例えば、あるお二人の宿泊客には荷物を持って部屋まで案內していたようで……。きっと気のせいだと信じたいです!

Großes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal, eine bequeme Lage und saubere, komfortable Zimmer. Alles war während meines Aufenthalts ausgezeichnet. Die einzige kleine Frage war, dass das Bett etwas zu fest für meinen Gefallen war, aber das ist eine Sache der persönlichen Präferenz. Insgesamt ist eine wunderbare Erfahrung und ich würde sicher noch einmal hier bleiben.

location was good, only 5 mins walk from Seibu Chichibu station. My room got a very nice hill view, quiet and tranquil. The room was clean, very spacious in Japanese standard. Staff were very polite and helpful. There was one gentleman staff helped me to find packing material to wrap my walking stick that I bought from the temple during my 34 Kennon pilgrimage; so that I could bring it back home with me. Many thanks! By the way, the breakfast was very good with big array of food.

Die Lage war sehr erreichbar von der Bahnhof! Das Zimmer war für mich ziemlich komfortabel, aber ich konnte mein Gepäck nicht öffnen, weil mein Gepäck zu groß war 😭 Der Service war großartig! Das Personal war alle so freundlich! Wir werden sicherlich noch einmal hier bleiben bedenken!

Araki Kousen Ryokan was absolutely lovely and felt very welcoming for our family. This was our first stay at a ryokan in Japan, and while we were initially a little worried it might feel old or uncomfortable, it was actually very clean, cozy, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home, even helping us secure a dinner reservation at a local restaurant. The onsen was relaxing and the water temperature was just right. Breakfast was a highlight as well—delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and a wonderful way to start the day together. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return with our family again.
